I started to watch the news like legit everyday after the pandemic.... you know... just to check up if COVID got near me. LMAO
I usualy just skim thru the news, since a lot of them are bogus and it takes some time to fact check them.
Exactly ! There`s too much filler everywhere, 10 pages of useless information just so that i can read 1 line that contains everything that i need to know !
that's why we have tv news. they have these big headlines that just shows the main points. 5 Easy Steps of how to watch news QUICK! 1. you turn on the TV 2. switch to the news channel 3. read the headlines 4. you're done 5. do the stuff you want
Used to do more often. Browser sets up for those news - world, health, food, etc. Eventually found it took much time while in college so turned off that setting. First few months of pandemic yes but turned it off last several months, mostly just TV news now. It may not show everything, but its something. Its good to keep informed of news and whats happening, but sometimes got distance from it else it consumes your thoughts.
I used to watch the news a lot, but when the pandemic started I stopped because it got too overwhelming, and I guess I just never picked it back up again.
I don't know if this counts, but I followed r/news and r/worldnews on reddit just to keep up with all the insane news. Since reading is faster than watching
I actively try to avoid the news. Its always so negative and just makes me feel bad. I do get emails from the nyts everyday and sometimes I'll skim through them. But thats really it.
I don't even watch the news, I may skim a bit of news sites online but no more now than I did before the pandemic
