I don't know if you want dogblood novels or something? Like, the kind where ML is shitty to MC and we readers read it like the masochists we are. But I personally like my angsty BL to have good-ass plots, so these are angsty novels with really intriguing and complex plots, and good-ass romance. I cried so hard on Nan Chan that my roommate woke up and told me to shut up. It ties very closely on my top list of favorites with 2ha. Also, has some of the most beautiful quotes ever, lyrical and emotional. OMG AND THEN Governor's Illness nearly murdered me. I don't understand why it's not more popular. I think Governor's Illness can easily tie up there with MDZS and 2ha; the plot and suspense and romance are exquisite. Panguan is also very sad (MC and ML who yearn for each other but are separated by time and death), and it's by Mu Su Li so of course it's good hehe. This one's not translated yet, but 我，还能抢救一下吗？[穿书] It's a transmigration, childhood friends to lovers type of plot, and MC is always dying and leaving ML behind, and because of this, ML is kind of traumatized and yandere-ish, but he never hurts the MC or does anything to disrespect him. In fact, he loves the MC very much so he's very careful not to cross MC's boundaries. I did cry a few times, especially when MC realized he loves ML regardless of gender.
