Why does NU/NUF tend to gravitate towards extremes?

    Too many episodes of "Shark Tank" and "Kitchen Nightmares" made us this way.

    One of the things I'd also really appreciate is that the scale is too small. A 1-10 scale makes much more sense to me.

    Sorry a bit out of topic, should we rate novels here with the same approach as appreciating classic literature or rating it based on only by our emotion or taste preference? (ex: If the mc is not what your ideal type mc therefore this novel is 1 star regardless the plot, writing styles, creativity and originality of the author.)

    Sometimes the extremes can just get more attention, especially with click-bait titles.
