I thought my brain is playing with me but apparently this cover is used for 3 different novels?
Does anybody know where is this originally coming from?

Not sure about the original source but I'm pretty sure it's one of the few common cover variations. Authors just use it as a template and change the text on it like this one has a slight edit to it

    Maybe it's a stock image?

There are at least 5 or 6 covers like this that being used in more than one novel. All of them look the same with just the title being different. They're like the castles, tea cups or hairpins in manhwa.

I've seen more novels with that kind of pictures not just three. If you read in webnovel, there's a lot of novel with the same cover there too.

It's like one of those template covers that anyone can use, I think

There's a pink one with a tree on it that's used the same way

It’s one of the template covers that’s very common on jjwxc.
Other covers you might see include these (taken from scrolling through jjwxc-published novels)

See a pattern? I’m pretty sure they’re stock photos jjwxc lets authors choose from to put on their covers.

Wasn't there a whole thing where Sage Monarch's cover being from Castlevania? Some web novel authors in China use just straight up steal the art.

Like, you know the face on QWTFOTD's cover? Yeah, that's a SAO fanart. Hey, maybe the author got permission from the artist, but it seems unlikely, since it looks to be by a Japanese artist.

These novels usually have zero literary merit so it's not a surprise.

But it's what the readers want.

I don't know how a protagonist killing everyone with zero consequences is considered enjoyable.
Novels are popular as long as the protagonist are evil
