For a series we've started to translate (Bug Player), they have Volume, Episode, Chapter, and Parts in their raws. There are 13 volumes and that's pretty normal ig, for a webnovel. The episode number resets every new volume (eg. there's Volume 1 Episode 1 and Volume 2 Episode 1) The chapters are named, kind of like arcs ig, just smaller. There are 2-3 parts to every chapter/arc thing. So for example, the first few chapters are: Volume 1 Episode 1 Chapter 1 (name of chapter) Part 1 Volume 1 Episode 2 Chapter 1 (name of chapter) Part 2 Volume 1 Episode 3 Chapter 2 (name of chapter) Part 1 How do I add them to the release name section? v1e1c1 part1??? And how should we name our posts so the bot can possibly auto-update all that?
your example is not too clear. why is episode 1 only has part 1? is part one part of the sub-arc, hence sharing/continuing to episode 2? please keep the number at the front, title last (of the chapter) last. please avoid adding 'part' to chapter title. just keep them all the same name of they're part of a sub-arc volume 1 chapter 1 part1 - The Day The World Restarted volume 1 chapter 1 part2 - The Day The World Restarted volume 1 chapter 2 part1 - Chaos Everywhere volume 1 chapter 2 part2 - Chaos Everywhere volume 1 chapter 2 part3 - Chaos Everywhere volume 1 side story 1 part1 - Side Character's POV volume 1 side story 1 part2 - Side Character's POV volume 1 extra/bonus 1 part1 - Calm Before Storm so basically, Volume/Big Arc --> Chapter/sub-arc --> sub-sub-arc/parts/splitted this is standard naming scheme that would ensure the bot reads the chapter number correctly. any other 'number' that's not part of 'chapter number', either spell them, or put inside bracket (x)[y] alternatively, put the entire title (not the chapter numbers and parts) inside bracket. the bot can then ignore everything. when you're submitting the chapters, use v1c1 part1 btw, there are no mods 'taking a break' (from processing chapter submission, that is). just that we DO NOT accept/list the same 'content' twice. and Add Release page is not for re-submitting updates/revision. Use Report Problem for that. your submission (using Add Release page) was rejected simply for being redundant of an existing listed chapters (which was still alive at the time)
Because episode seems to be the chapter count in each volume in this novel. And the chapter is keeping count of the arcs, I think? I'm not sure I understand this part...? The raws are like this: —1권 1화 1장. So does the bot read the name of the post or the content in the post? For now, I've decided to just put a number in the name of the post (eg. Bug Player - 1) but the other volume, chapter title, and part stuff are in the post itself. I'd also like to know how the site/bot decides which series to automatically update without us having to submit it? Because I have one series that very recently just started to automatically update itself as soon as the chapter is posted o.o I actually did use Report a Problem but it wasn't solved the next day which I thought was slower than usual and I genuinely thought there was some kind of site update going on or something else the mods were preoccupied with, no shade there Then can we also have the release name updated to v1c1 part1 through here? And possibly the release date to the 25th of this month? Or do I submit another report for that?
assuming this is uncut/continuous, then you have two choice. keep the arc count continuous (which means it possibly wont restart) keep the chapter-of-the-volume (which means it'll restart each volume) —1권 1화 1장. 내가 영주라니?-1화 v1c1 part1 (part X of Y arc, volume Z) v1c1 (Nth chapter of volume M) — 1권 2화 1장. - 1화 v1c3 part1 v1c6 it gets the chapter number from NAME/TITLE, so that's where the numbering should be. it doesn't read content. category / tag - assuming they're unique per each novel (best option) title - assuming you put the novel name in the title alongside the chapter number it's done
Ooh okay, thank you! Can we opt to update them manually? I think it'll be the best in the case of this novel.
