Hello! Can I ask for some recommendations for BL with a preferably smart/cunning MC and a more mature/less fluffy storyline with a good amount of angst? Raws ok too! What I’m looking for: - Mature storyline, some fluff is ok but not the whole book. Need to suffer first lol, then happiness after is good. - Some angst … ie. it would be great if there wasn’t too much instalove or at least there are some genuine obstacles between the MC and ML (or MLs) in the beginning. - I’m okay with 1v1, NP or even no CP. - QT, rebirth, or anything is good. Modern, historical, interstellar, etc all OK. - Scum MLs/love interest are totally welcome (although not requirement), including ones that cheat/have other partners etc, however they should fall for the MC in the end. - Either shou/gong MC is both ok. - I have high tolerance for subject matter (incest etc all ok, not required though of course). If the storyline is good, not much will phase me. - HE preferably, if QT it’s okay if the individual arcs are BE. What I Don’t Want: - Stories where the MC is too innocent/sweet/dumb - Stories where the ML(s) chase the MC around for the majority of the story and the MC is either clueless/has some kind of stupid misunderstanding/insists that they are straight. MC isn't a romantic type, ML is hard to move. 同时给四位大佬当备胎后[穿书] "Being a spare tire for four big guys at the same time" - MC is cute and lovable but smart and logical. He's managing having 4 roles at the same time in the same world. It's well-written and scum 1's face-slap is very satisfying but I don't like interstellar so I don't read far after scum 2.
I thought about it after posting my comment but try out Death Progress Bar. It has majority of the requirements. I wasn’t sure because of fluff tag. I just started so I’m unaware what type of romance will blossom just yet. I would consider it a Love Interest Falls First type. It’s a trans story with a unreliable system which offers a comedic undertone. Though it’s on the mature side with angst due to the original owner death. And the mystery behind it also the fact that the mc is wrapped up in a ‘legal crime syndicate’. With five brothers possibly scheming to kill him. So yea.. you could check that out as well.
