Resolved New to Kdrama

I've known there is good stuff here for quite a while, just never bothered to get into it.
I've watched Parasite, Squid Game and Liar Game and that's it, all of which are great.
Should I just watch something from the top ranks?
Genre... as long it's not soap opera I guess, so romcoms, thrillers, fantasy are all a go.

 

Liar Game Kdrama?

Nevertheless is good since they have Sol and Jiwan.
Hospital Playlist, I've seen some clips and it looks fun to watch.
High Kick Series, if you are into sitcoms.

Oh, I google it and didn't know there's a Korean version of Liar Game.
I read the whole manga series and watched the series and movies of Liar Game so I didn't know there's a kdrama of it.

 

It's better and different than Japanese but only one season.

When young people go for a walk, they don't just go for a walk.

 

These are a little bit older (2012 ish?) so maybe you won't find them in any top drama lists currently. But these are all my favorites and they were super popular when they came out.

i’ve recently been watching yumis cells and lemme j say it’s the cutest thing ever. its based off a webtoon, but i haven’t read the webtoon before. its a romcom/slice of life.

 

- Signal (my all time favorite)
- Bad Guys (season 1 is the best)
- Cruel City
- Taxi Driver
- Chicago Typewriter
- Special Affairs Team TEN (random fact, I watched this when I was just 13)

More compact? And the story is well adapted to the Korean culture so pretty fresh.

 

It's really good, comparable to the UK version and they kept to the script pretty tightly. If you've seen the UK version, then u can skip this.

 

I'm embarrassed to suggest ... What's Wrong with Secretary Kim (2018)
Because goddamn it they make you want to dress up just to go to the office.



Also, try Misaeng (2014). A must-watch for any college kid entering the workforce ... everything from self-esteem, to difficult bosses, to different interpretations on meaning/value of work.

There is this ongoing drama named "Bad and Crazy". It has 12 episodes in total and its final episode will be aired next Thursday. I have watched a lot of drama and this has to be my absolute favorite. 100/10 recommendation.
