"Hans and Snoc were about to nod their heads, but they quickly stopped. Sweat began to pour down their faces." It's so funny.
I'm having great fun with this novel. I hope they end up keeping the elf, I think she'll be a fun addition to Zich's motley crew. Unfortunately I think Zich will do everything in his power to prevent it because of his visions of Zich Brave's companions.
Might just be a recurring side character like Lubela but unlike her the elf doesn't seem to have any major known responsibilities preventing her from traveling with the party so far.
The author seems to be going for the current Zich is neither Brave nor Moore route, so it is unlikely that his party will have members related to either of them. Though, we still don't know what kind of relationship Lyla had with him in the past. I still hope the elf will stick with them.
Time for wild theory time. Not so wild theory: I don't think Lyla is an actual person per se but a construct or spirit of some kind that our robed mysterious organization is using to see visions of the future to help determine what course they should take to achieve the future they want. (Also possible she is human and is just an oracle, but doesn't feel right.) Wild theory: Lyla is actually the spirit of the Holy Sword that was forcibly separated from it (which was why she could actually hold it even though she's a mage.) This is why she has visions of all the futures of Zich because she was there, either being wielded by him or fighting him. (Although part of me wants Zich to be right and the Holy Sword is just indiscriminate in who can use it)
Or maybe he will end up with some party members of both sides, and the elf along with one or both of his followers from when he was Moore that we haven't seen yet will join.
I also thought that she could be a homunculus or something similar that is being used to gather information about the future. One problem with that theory is that Zich pointed out how Lyla looked at him as if he was someone that she dearly missed when they met for the first time. Another problem is that the robed man that appeared in chapter 149 sort of implied they were the ones that erased Lyla's memories. And although that is just me being biased, overall, Lyla's personality doesn't match that of a homunculus. Maybe. But so far Zich saved Lubella, Joaquim, and Evelyn, and none of them joined his party. But as someone pointed out, unlike the rest, Leona doesn't seem to have any circumstances that prevent her from joining his party, so I hope she will stick with them.
I found it weird how Glen did not show any interest in Lyla, despite her often being portrayed as the prettiest girl in the novel. He at least should have made a coment about how she was someone that he didn't know. Also, it is hilarious how Glen is basically the MC in those regression/isekai novels, where they uses their knowledge about the world/novel to cuck the original MC from his position as the hero of the history and NTR things that should belong to him. When you change your perspective, they aren't much different from Glen, except the fact they aren't self-aware about it.
Let's go Hans. Steal All of Glenn's trophies: Browning and Estellade. Not objectifying Browning here, it's Glenn that see her as a trophy to keep around. Probably is afraid she'll outshine him with a sword, the bastard.
