My spoilers might get confusing Spoiler: Orig Novel Story The orig story was that Meisu would fall in love with Shen Yu but Shen Yu and Yanyan is in a relationship and Meisu would be the evil cannon fodder who would get a bad ending. Forgot what her ending really is. According to cabbage, Dawang was in the military and then when he went back he was told his whole family is dead. He married a girl (forgot the name so lets call her Yaya) Yaya is a daughter of a martyr and her grandpa is a powerful retired doctor of military her uncle is an uprising general. Yaya is obsessed with Dawang and they got married. Dawang asked her family who killed his siblings and parents. Yaya concealed the true killer and told Dawang a different name. But Dawang already knew who killed his family, it's Yaya's family. Later on Dawang killed everyone of Yaya's family to revenge on the death of his loved ones. He left Yaya the only one alive and then he disappeared. Yaya got crazy since her family is dead and she's obsessed with Dawang I think she suicide. According to ML was killed while investigating the large illegal japanese gang in the country. Spoiler: MC and ML MC and ML have a very loving relationship ML helps in the housework and makes MC the head of the family. So everything needs MC's permission. Erwang is a great cook and he and Meisu always helps in the cooking. Sometimes Xiaowang helps them too. Xiaowang and Sanwang became super close and Xiaowang is like a little tail of Sanwang. One time MC was worried about lice and told everyone to comb their hair and wash it. Sanwang being naughty asked to have his head shaved so that he wouldn't worry about lice. Sanwang then wants Xiaowang to be bald with him hihihi MC actually doesnt want to since baby Xiaowang is really pretty and she's afraid he'd be cold. On the way back from school when Sanwang is waiting for Xiaowang he saw another kid being close to Xiaowang and saw how the lice is crawling now to his brother. So he fought with the kid one thing led to another and he convinced Xiaowang to be bald along with one of their cousins who at that time iss living with them. So when ML came back he was welcomed by 3 shiny bald heads who was performing some kind of dance ahahaha. When all the kids are big enough to study MC was reluctant to separate but ML was so happy that he's gonna have the MC all to himself. Later on they always start travelling ML started reading on what's the place's best food, locations, hotels etc on different places so that he'll be the one touring the MC. The kids now grownups, needs to call and make a schedule if they want to meet with their parents because ML is always planning the next place he and MC will go to Spoiler: Dawang and Yaya so when Dawang is in highschool he met Yaya. I couldn't remember what led to Dawang and Shen Yu suddenly interrogating Cabbage. But they did interrogate Cabbage then cabbage said she can see the future, and she covers her face with towel and change her voice when she told them about the past. Now Dawang is conscious of Yaya, he secretly asked on of his dads coworker to investigate about Yaya's family. At this time ML is investigating the japanese gang (remeber its the one he was doing when he died accdg to cabbage). MC thought Dawang has a crush on Yaya because he was always looking at her so ML also checked on Yaya's background but didn't find anything suspicious. While investigating ML found out that his 4th sis husband, the Lu guy is connected to the japanese gang!! Lu guy was arrested along with other suspects but the evidence against him is not enough and his co-workers testified that Lu guy is a good person. So Lu guy was set free. Now Dawang became supee mad when cabbage said his parents would die and his siblings would all have miserable ending ao he reported Cabbage to the police for engaging in superstition. Cabbage got arrested and MC talked to her, cause she thought cabbage is like herself. Cabbage was a cannon fodder who was Yaya's minion in the book she was sexually involved with her factory worker boss who was married. She first asked Shen Yu to help her saying the boss is doing things against her will but Shen Yu said he had no power and cant help her. Cabbage was mad (forgot how she died in her past life) but thats the gist of it. MC was asking who killed the ML but cabbage insisting she didnt know. Meanwhile, ML finally have an evidence against LU guy, turns out he's invovled in prostitution. He was the one who introduced cabbage in her past life to the boss. Lu guy has this hypnotic wayof convincing the girls to attend some parties where he would introduce them to some rich people to be their bed partners. Lu guy is part of the japanese gang. MC and ML made up some rumors that they have a prophet on thier hand who knows the mastermind behind the japanese gang and Lu guy panicked since if he told ML who the big boss is he will have a lighter sentence but now with a prophet he wouldn't be able to negotiate. So he told ML he's willing to talk on the morning. By night one of the big boss right hand heard that Lu guy will rat the boss out so he decided to assassinate Lu guy and kill the prophet. But it was a trap by ML, Dawang fought with the assassin before ML came. Assassin was caught and the big boss was identified as the retired army doctor. He was put in jail and his sosn, Yaya's uncle was also removed in the military and is escorted to prison. But uncle killed all the people escorting him and took. MC as hostage in exchange for letting his Dad out. ML and Dawang is super mad then they fought and of course won. Everyone is in jail. Yaya visited her uncle and grandpa. Turns out she already suspected that they were doing something bad but she never asked so she starts blaming herself. The uncle and Yaya's grandpa was sentenced to death. Dawang was the one who shot the grandpa in the public execution. Yaya came to say goodbye to Dawang and she was crying, turns out she talked to cabbage and got to know about her and Dawang getting married. She said goodbye to dawang with a changed mindset that she shouldn't ignore things. That's it later there was no love interest with Dawang. Spoiler: The kids sanwang became a national athlete and competed internationally. When he was abroad he became very famous and was cast as the lead to a movie about himself ahahha. Sanwang is now a rich man and he proposed to take Xiaowang with him to the capital city so that Xiaowang would be exposed to different kinds of music. Baby Xiaowang doesn't want to be away from his mother but MC convinced him to go. Erwang and Meisu became their schools best students. Meisu is the only one with her own chapter lols. She fell in love with one of Dawangs military buddy a pretty face who is rich, Ju guy. Ju guy is the one who pursue Meisu, he's a really sweet guy who learned to cook to impress MC and ML. So while dawang and ju guy is on a mission. Ju guy's mother went and talked to MC and Meisu separately that they should get away from his kid since they are of different status. Meisu didn't budge and told her off. Ju guy when he came back was super mad and decided to cut off his parents. The snobbish mother cried and decided to change herself so her son wouldn't cut her off. As always it was a happy ending There wasn't a mention about what happened to Shen Yu and Yanyan later on soo...
[Edit] Same as previous review on this thread, It has the same vibe as Back to the Sixties: Farm, Get Wealthy and raise cubs. The FL has no space or other cheat on her and the story here is more detailed when it comes to giving more of the stories towards the children. It was a progress on how their lives got better not to the point like super rich just like the Back to the Sixties but it was pleasant to read. I specially like San Wang, he is so sunny and the rest of the kids are all good. The story focused on the kids improvement and not just the rebirth and all I like this story more. Spoiler: Han Qingsong Lin Lan Lin LAn woke up with reputation as shrew who doesn't care about the sons and rasing her daughter as spoiled one. She started improving their lives, protecting the kids, until the ML came back. Since there's no love at the beginning, it was a I'll learn to get together with you, and you to me style. Even in the beginning, Han Qingsong always sided with his wife as well as with separation. When the HQ fell in love with the LL, everything got even better . They got promoted together, when from commune to county to provincial capital. When all the kids are older, they started their newly wed life of travelling everywhere. Spoiler: Dawang In the previous life, he joined the underground, married the granddaughter if the family who killed his dad, at the wedding, he killed everyone but not the girl, he surrendered and got shot as punishment. In this life, he studied, jump grades, went to highschool, military, Went to college and was promoted after going back from the Vietnam war. When he met LJ girl during high school, due to Cauliflower, the psychic, he was weary with her and knew that her family was related to the gang which ked to her grandpa and uncle being shot in the plaza. It was initially spoiled and. Slightly crooked due to her aunt. She was guided and trained by Lin Lan and worked with Erwang to cook and take care of the house when LL was out. In the previous life she fell in love with Shen Yu who fell in love with YY. This time, she didnt. On the way to Capital to visit Sanwang, they met a group of boys going to the Military. She met a guy here and that guy was so interested on her. When the family moved to provincial, the entrance test to universities was announce. JT confessed to her , soon they became together and got married. Spoiler: Erwang He was a promiscuous with girls in the past life. Now he became studious with. His twin sister. He developed loved for cooking and was always worried food isn't enough due to their large family. He was so clingy to his sister and they went to high school, college and got a double degree, foreign studies and him as a diplomat as he wanted to stop the war. He was so worried the last time. Dawang went to vietnam war. No love interest, just keep getting love letters instead. Spoiler: Sanwang My fave character here. He loves swimming even in winter, doesnt love studying much. He was scouted as swimmer to participate in the regionals, later went to Asian games and left early to live in the capital at a young age around 10 or 11. He supported himself and later introduce xiao yang to a music school. They also went under the bridge to play music and earn as past time. Spoiler: Xiao Wang The youngest, musician in the family, good at painting. Went to Capital at an early age as well with the help of Sanwang. He had an eye surgery when he was around 4 to 6 yrs old as he was a bit blind then. Spoiler: Shen Yu & Yan Yan Shen yu went from educated youth at the farm, to managing the soap/chemical factory built with Lin Lan, to managing the textile factory, to getting accepted to university with Erwang and Maisui. There's no indication if he met YY again or if they got together. Though they were rumored together when they were still at the factory. No news from Yanyan as well. There's no hint of them falling in love There's quite a hint that he looked at Maisui with admiration but did not pursue since he also know there's JT.
Eh? really? What I read is not the same as you desrcibe of what happened to ML sister Han QingShan/JinYu and her husband, Lu Haozhen . I was just in the right chapter too, chapter 91. The robbery happened right after the 'wedding night' in the forest. The robbers took Lu Haozhen, but left Han JinYu alone. They told her, he would get back alive tomorrow so dont go reporting! She was told to go back to village and call her 3rd brother (ML) for help by Lu Haozhen. But she was in great shock, confused, scared, and all that. She then went back to the county (should be her new home) not to call for help. Well, this lil sis is a bit low IQ..... So, DaWang didnot get together with the Lu JinYa. Good. I'm baffled with all these tranmigrated MC into mother character. They all glorify modern thinking and almost the story will involve women's suffering in the hand of old feudal or all that. And MC will advocate free to love, free to find their love, and marriage in the name of love. Then the sons grow up, and all MC does is matchmaking their sons, asking them when will you bring girlfriend home.....facepalm Btw, can anyone spoil the last ending of ML's family? The mother and father seemed a lost cause. What abt the 1st bro and his wife, they reconcile? 1st bro finally dumped his parents? And what abt the 2nd bro family, and the twins?
Does anyone know what Lin Lan did before she transmigrated. In fact, I liked Back to the 60s MC better because Lin Qing He had very clear characteristics/ narrative that also explained her personality and skills. She also had better control of her husband and children--albeit the former was gentle and the latter were much younger. Lin Lan feels kind of...non descript and I'm still trying to figure out how she's strict because she won't discipline her children at all. The ML, I think Lin Lan's reaction towards him reads like she's a rather inexperienced young woman---early to mid 20s maybe? Like I only know she's better at arguing than original body and she had good skin lol. I haven't gotten that far but it's odd how Lin Lan doesn't have a back story at all, so maybe I missed it.
