    I think I will have to learn to manage with my laptop (going along with the assumption that there's no way to turn off or turn down the volume of the alarm).

    Extremely high voltage jumping when switch gets flicked.
    Ever been working in 100kV changing station when you hear click, then suddenly BZZZZBDJHSAZGAITVBDFOSALF *BANG*
    Jesus, always scares me. Especially if Im anywhere close to voltage line.

    Think this, but you just work with stuff that murders you instantly if someone switches wrong switch.
