Hi, I'm looking for a novel involving showbiz. I forgot whether it was rebirth or transmigration or quick transmigration, but one of the MC and ML acted together in a movie or TV series. The setting was during a wartime in China (either WW2 or revolution). The MC was a man who dressed like a woman in a party attended by ML to rob the house. The ML was drugged and raped the MC. In the morning the MC tried to escape but the ML woke up. The ML gave him an offer to be his "woman" for show in return not reporting MC to the police. The ML actually had unrequited love with a woman who loved his best friend. At the end, the war was getting intense and ML sent MC away for his protection. The final scene was the MC in his home. A military car came to the front door and a man got off, but it wasn't clear whether it was ML or if it was a military officer came to give a notice of ML's death.
