Another working title could be: "My dream NPCs are funnier than I am, and that freaks me out." It's Turkey Day in the USA, so I'm sure a few of you Americans have already had a nap and woke up again. Wanna share any dreams? I tend to be a vivid dreamer who almost always remembers my dreams after waking up, but I know there's many people who fight to remember, forget entirely, and, strangest of all, don't dream in the first place. My question to you is...what's that like? It sounds a little frustrating. Here's the dream I just woke up from: So, it was a dream where people had abilities, kind of like Heroes, but not as frequent or well-known as X-Men or My Hero Acadamia. I guess I had been thinking about the new Hawkeye show, because my ability was pulling a bow and arrow out of nowhere. Actually, I just had a space like so many novels on here, and could pull out anything I put in it. So, I was just a glorified pack mule who happened to be good at archery. It's a little lame, now that I think about it, if set in a world where people have abilities like super strength and speed... Anyway, a vague disaster was happening and a skyscraper was needing to be evacuated. I was in an Avengers-like group assigned to help with this. On evacuation duty, my job was to escort people down the elevator and to the exit, 5 at a time. Needless to say, this isn't very smart in reality. If you think a building is going to lose power and/or collapse, using the elevator is a good way to die, and if you have to use the elevator, what on earth is the point of wasting an evacuee's space in the name of 'supervision'? I don't know who my leader was, but he was a big dummy. Either way, it was apparently the setup for a punchline, so into the elevator we went. I was in the elevator with 5 civilians who were visibly scared, so I thought I should calm them down via distraction. "Hey", I said, "did you know I have an ability?" One lady (who I think was based off of Aloma Wright. The actress who played Laverne in Scrubs?) realized what I was trying to do and gave a shaky smile, then raised her eyebrow in exaggerated disbelief, playing along. "An ability, huh? What's your ability?" I'd like to say here that I am 100% certain my sleeping brain was focusing on figuring out what item I should pull out for pizzazz, when she continued her dialogue unexpectedly. "Ah, I get it," she scoffs with a roll of her eyes. "Gravity." She even did a little hand motion as the elevator went down. It took me a minute to get the joke, but when I did, I laughed so hard I woke up. So, yeah. My dream's NPC is wittier than I am. I love a good pun, but I've always been lousy at making one myself. That joke was apparently made by me, buried in my subconscious, but it doesn't feel that way at all!
well, there is one time i dream of a middle aged chubby bald white guy singing opera while taking a shower.
I mean, it depends~ I can go from no dreams at all to livid ones I can control. Those are most fun, well, because I'm kinda awake for it and it's not just dream stuff. Can do or make anything I want ^^
Yesterday when I had a nap before resuming my work, I dream shortly. I met someone familiar but I don't know her or maybe I forget about her? Short black hair, brown eyes and a cute smile. She asked me this "What are you doing here?" I'm aware that this is a dream so I answered: "Resting, and what are you doing here?". She then stares at me while smiling softly, she said "You shouldn't be asleep yet, wake up". I then awake but, I'm still feeling tired and don't want to get up yet so I sleep again, after a minute I found her again and she told me to wake up...again. This repeated around 7 times, so I have enough of this and decided to get up for real. Bruh I only slept for around 30 minutes and still got one hour of free time before going back to work.
I don't remember my dreams but they're really epic generally That sounds like you evaded some terrible disaster by being awake
Maybe she was a guardian angel, preventing you from falling into the deep slumber you couldn't awaken from, resulting in being fired. Maybe she was a demon, intentionally antagonizing you with a friendly smile on her face. Either way...that's some freaky stuff. Also, she never responded when you asked what she was doing there. Hmmm...suspicious. I know exactly what you're talking about! Who cares if I'm a mob factory worker in reality? My kingdom awaits for my rest! ...Me, too... ...New poll. My dreams are usually memories and are anxiety-inducing, from past trauma, or bad experiences (and pathetic AF). For example, my most recent one was about my older sister and I. We were just at the bottom of this really big mountain for some reason. We climbed it together and it was freezing cold, but we kept going. We finally reached the top and our father was residing there because he decided to move away from us. He was pissed that we found him, and we were sad because we went through all that effort and turmoil to see him, but it was all in vain, and he pushed us off the mountain to die. Um. Anyway, after I woke up, I decided I should be more selfish and less of a pushover from now, and took that dream a bit seriously than I should. Dunno. Never had an input about it since it was recent and I never shared it until now.
I always dream about a guy from my physics class and i dreamed about him again this morning. In every dream about him, he always wanted to get close to me but i found a way to evade him, don’t know why..The odd thing is i hardly think about love or even him but i keep dreaming about him wanted to get close to me..Don’t tell me I’m homo

Dreams are indeed freaky things, and i was also looking for a thread to share my experience [small confession : i m jealous of some of ya'll NPC's, mine are just scary] I woke up in a classroom. I was sitting at the first desk, with a girl that felt familiar Then other "students" came and sat down, but i couldn't recognize their faces Next thing, the door opens and a sunny smiling man with a beard walks into the middle of the class. He begins to talk, as if he s in the middle of a presentation. But i couldn't understand anything, no matter how much i focused. I looked to my right, and saw my deskmate on her phone. Looking away, i felt my eyes begin to sting, but i was scared to touch them for some reason, so I couldn't even raise my arms. I looked at the front again, and started to feel a little dizzy. I also looked for my phone, and saw that i have a missed call, from my mom. A sudden panic began to overwhelm me, like,i felt i really need to call mom back to get me out of here. My phone 's screen then suddenly began to darken, like a white paper being stained with ink, and shut down. With inner dread rising in me, i turned towards the girl next to me, wanting to ask if i could borrow her phone. But i felt as if i was suffocating, and i couldn't manage to voice a single word out. The girl looked at me, and i started gesturing, pointing at my phone, mimicking a call, and then at hers. She tilted her head and then said: ah, you want my phone to call someone? I noded, in relief that she somehow understood,but my whole body stiffened up after i heard what she said. "This place has no signal sweetie.. Nobody can use their phone, it s useless. I thought you knew that " My breath got caught in my throat, and i felt chills running through my back. I nodded at the girl who was looking suspiciously at me, and turned to the front again. The man seemed to sense my panic and suddenly turned to me with a smile. " Are you alright, [ Ella ]?" I was a little bit dazed under his stare , and only manged to nod my head Only after i broke the eye contact and looking blankly at my desk, feeling a sudden stinging pain in my eyes did i belately thought " wait, how does he know my name? " My moment of clarity lasted just for these seconds, and after that i felt my ears ringing, and my vision blurring. I slowly began to lose feeling of my hands, then my legs, and cold enveloped me , as if i was being thrown in an ice cavern. Dark dots already in my vision, i saw the desk gradually enlarging in front of me , and the moment my face made contact with it, all i could see was black. The last sound i heard was of the man in front, who again asked "if i was alright?" but now his voice sounded distorted, like a tape that got jumbled up. I couldn't care about that though, since i began to have trouble breathing, and my chest felt heavy. My eyes began hurting again, as if someone wanted to pluck them out. I began feeling weightless, as if i was falling through the darkness. I reached my hands out, then caught something. Dazed, i opened my eyes slowly. My blanket was on my face. Breathing in slowly, i took it off and looked through my room. I sat up and looked for my phone, looking at the time. 4 in the morning So it was a dream. Amazing. Don't want to experience it again. I sat down again and played some music, and began writing this. Anyway, i had enough sleep for the night
I only dream in my second sleep. When I wake up and decided to sleep again, then I'll have a vivid dream. It actually makes me get out of bed. My dreams are like action movies, it's crazy.
I remember some, and some just disappear the second I awaken. Most of the time I can't tell I'm dreaming tho. Even when I live as someone else in another place, it's like I'm really that person. And when something wakes me up, it's like time gets broken into shards and I panic that time had stopped, then I open my eyes to reality and feel relief. Only when I dream of my dead mom do I start questioning the reality of the dream. That usually wakes me up or transitions me to a new dream where I believe I've woken up already. The brain is weird.
