It starts with snu snu (probably from their wedding night later on). The FL is the Imperial Princess of the Vitan Empire. Her father is so trash that he would even use his daughter (FL) like a weapon for the war (bc she has magic) which she escapes from and eventually was abducted as a slave into the Horn Empire where the slave trader brought her to sell to the ML and he bought her. The ML, Lucai Rike (black hair & red eyes), is the Grand Duke and heir to the Imperial House of Rike. He is also the Knight Commander of the Empire. ML isn’t a legitimate heir to the Imperial Family, but is important to the King like a nephew. ML’s parents died in an accident and he became the Grand Duke at 15. So far the FL seems pretty confident as she’s able to stand her ground as they converse instead of cowering at the ML. Although, her behavior (and her physical appearance) allows for ML to conclude that she’s no ordinary slave but a noblewoman. He comments that without this much (being observant), he wouldn’t have been the Grand Duke. He can read her thoughts (dunno if this is magic or he’s just that good lol probably the latter) so he knows she was planning to escape but FL boldly states that she won’t and he won’t kill her (for her attitude) bc if he wanted to he would’ve done so already. ML: Interesting ————— So far (2 Chs), typical almighty ML with tragic backstory similar to other MLs. His statement did set my expectations bc there be some MLs who are praised to the heavens about their greatness or their smarts and then do some dumbass shit or let’s some dumbass shit hoodwink them which doesn’t align with their great self. I hope this doesn’t happen bc most of the time these events are so illogical.
