father is so trash (I hope he dies the most brutal way possible, I want him to suffer) kidnapped ML to make him a wizard, and shackled/restrained him (so greedy) tried to make his second daughter(og novel heroine) into a wizard, but he basically torture her i think he was in a political marriage, but he (in FL's view) drive their mother to death, and never gives love to both daughters. he only shows interest in something, if it has literally benefits for him.
