Does anyone re-read the manga from past decade? ( No! I am not talking about you One piece and Berserk ) If so then what make you revisit that manga? For me Ga-rai and Psyren are the two manga that I still re-read like every year. Both is about a guy desperately try to gain power to save a girl and concept is kinda unique. I guess, I just love the lore and character development of those 2 manga.
All oldies that were published first in my country and I bought them and kept them nicely (tho the paper are yellowish now T T. (once I start it, I wont stop until I finish it) Candy Candy All Mari-Chan series Doraemon Dragon Ball Kungfu Boy or Tekken Chinmi Garasu no Kamen Slam Dunk Swan A few from 90s - 2010 Hikaru no Go Houshin Engi Piano Mori Please save my earth (Jpn title is hard to rmb) Nintama Those are the ones I have and will alw reread again. Couldnt remember again, but should be more.
I feel you. Most of my old books turn yellowish also. Now all my new books are kept in individual ziplock bags.
I just found out, the paper they (the publisher here) use for manga is of different material. From the touch, it felt like those novel I bought from overseas, thick. Dunno if it's not going yellowish. I heard book from other country also turn yellowish no matter how nice the paper is.
That one I have not encounter also. Most of the books I have is published from UK (eg. penguin publisher) or from Yen press. Both still turn yellow. Best is just keep it away from direct sunlight and the only one that still alive and kicking is those Net Geo books.
T T Net geo books ne, but those material are freaking expensive! And heavy too. I think it truly is the time to buy ebook, but hard copy is smth else! Couldnt be replaced.
Hahaha I sub for 2 years cause of free gift. YES!! hardcopy is still the best. May be it just my preferences, I just love reading through hardcopy, smell of the new book and flipping pages. That one cannot be beaten by e-book.
A few weeks ago I read Gunm/Battle Angel Alita (then Last Order), still a great read and a timeless classic. Maybe I'll go further in the past with some Tezuka next (why not an Astro/Tetsuwan Atom-Pluto/Pluton for a Tezuka-Urasawa binge session...).
The only thing of Tezuka got published here is Atom, 18vol of that, and I alw love to reread it in one go. Oh, there's Buddha, I dont buy this one.
No alabaster, Lost World, Metropolis, Black Jack, Adolf (Adorufu ni Tsugu), King Leo (Jungle Taitei) or any of his short stories where you live...? Well I guess I'm quite lucky be in France then !
hmm...I haven't read much at all recently for various reasons (life got me busy) but I have three that will always make me so bitter and nostalgic. Claymore, Anatolia Story, and Basara. I don't count stuff that's ongoing
bleach got so much fillers and somehow the drawing quality got worse and worse over time same for the anime 200+ episodes and about ~30 are really awesome for me beelzebub is something i read multiple time
