hmmm.. still trying to decide on a diplomat/language skill. (If polyglot what would I speak? If it is close to real world, maybe German+French and English ) I want it to be slightly useful in game, so it doesn't just become a throw away thing, but nothing that takes me out of the 'normal' range. I have a hard time with decisions. DM! As a well-traveled child of a Diplomat/Actress whose failing is pride/vanity. What shall I do? (I have a good idea on the item though.) Edit: ideas so far are language related, style related, or something related to the hard-knock life that would be something like a secret skill acquired when he was an orphan.
Rolled dice. Slight of Hand ( Basically small misdirection ability) it is! On to the event. *I plan on having it sometimes fail on accounting that he's a klutz
@Jeanette @Little Evil Tell me if it's a problem for Flora to have some disguised knight escorts inside the academy to make sure she's safe. I'll edit the last post if it's too much~
The headmaster charges into the academy "foul traitors, die" he directly turned the spies into ashes G ^^) they could be fellow students who keep an eye on her in exchange for benefits from the noble. (Or something similar) These helpers can't benefit your char or we'd just have many nobles suddenly popping up and sponsoring players. Though I guess your char has no freedom, so these helpers can help in the situations that may arise. @Little Evil your thoughts?
I would say it's difficult to keep ANY political influence out of a place like that. Though having guards would be a bit too much and a stain on the pride of the academy. Especially if it is supposed to be the kind of place rank doesn't matter. I agree that a quieter, subtle support is the way to go. It shouldn't be too overt.
Oh yeah, totally. They'd be quite literally just people to ensure her safety (or more like, Yumi's safety for when she comes visit... >.>). They wouldn't participate in anything. I basically added that because I thought it would be a bit too strange for a 6 years old noble child with conspicuous hair/eyes to walk alone around the academy without being protected in some form. That works too, I guess~ I can do some edits later, I need to sleep now though. Tbf, they were meant to be in disguise and not openly protecting... Kinda like the undercover cop version of a knight, I guess!? XD I don't mind editing that part anyways though~
I would assume the academies own security would take over in the case of protecting the child. Visible or not. (Depending on how this academy structures its security.) It would depend on the arrangement that could be made between the Academy and the nobles. I don't want to say too much, because it's not my story. But that seems to me to be the logical thing to be done. She might have some kind of protection charm or something that can alert the proper authorities if anything happens to her. @Jeanette It's a magical world.
I'm setting up a scenario for "doing something fun." Even if Spear's character Ricardo doesn't go for it entirely. @Jeanette @Little Evil I will be headed your way eventually. Anyone else who wants to be included in the "school exploration caper" can possibly use this upcoming distraction as you so choose. Just giving a heads up.
