What exactly are you asking here? Like, are you asking if its safe as in you won't be hacked again or are you asking if its safe as in your account created on those games won't be leaked?
Safe in what terms? I'm not a techie, but based on my experience, it's best to: - use an email that doesn't contain any of your personal info when registering for a game. Create a dummy email if possible. - for online payments, pick one that doesn't require you to enter your personal credentials directly into the game. Something that takes payments from partnered platforms like google/apple store/etc is your best choice. - never... ever share any info you used to access the game ( or your game account) with ANYONE. - I hate sharing my personal devices pc/laptop/phone with anyone, so if possible never share yours either as much as possible. - monitor your data usage (up/down), if something "weird" happens like data (sent/received) without any action from your end, check it out. The easiest would be to go to your task manager to see which app is likely using your internet access currently. These are some of the tips I can think off right off the bat that you can try to play an online game free from the worry of theft/hacking.
During my online classes I play a lot of small games online just for time pass. There are websites, i log in and play in the private window. These websites have many adult ads and other type of ads. My question is that is it safe to play such online games?
we're living in the age where data is king. data scientist is in high demand atm. so it depends on how (un)ethical the devs are. ex Google CEO Eric Schmidt: "If you have something that you don't want anyone to know, maybe you shouldn't be doing it in the first place." (don't quote me on this but) my ex-colleague used to work in mobile gaming industry. he said that when a user grants storage permission (to play a game) the game would leech everything. it's not a small time company; it's a multinational company with over 4000 employees worldwide. my suggestion: keep your playground in isolation: virtualization or a separate physical machine. heck, my work email was compromised despite the fact that i used chrome strictly for work activities. u can't be too careful see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cross-site_request_forgery - don't login to ur bank / credit card account, etc - clear everything before and after doing naughty stuffs.
It's safe if you don't do stupid things like posting your account information online or randomly click questionable links.
free online games are safe. free online PORN games are not. so whatever you were doing online was reckless and you were either opening links or downloading files however you pleased without a thought in the world.
might be about the games, might not about the games could also be about the places you download them from private servers might be an issue too coming from the logic side i would say the bigger the game the lesser the risk a perhaps 2000$ game should be easier to risk for scams and other fraud than a 500million $ game since the risks are uncomparable higher if it ever came to light than again reading the TOS of the big publishers and the rights they grant themselfs you better spot playing at all thought reading/watching novels/mangas/anime might pose a risk too
