The Legendary Master's Wife (eastern fantasy) is the one that got me into danmei pit, followed by Golden Assistant (modern), The Reader and Protagonist Definitely Have to Be in True Love (western fantasy), Rebirth of a Supermodel (modern), The Reborn Otaku’s Code of Practice for the Apocalypse (slow-paced apocalypse). But actually, my first danmei was Hua Hua You Long (historical) and that was a big mistake. It made me scared away from danmei for years.
"The Moon Is Coming To Me." This one is such a little hidden gem! Light good novel. No angst, well maybe a tiny bit towards MC's part. About MC who got switched at birth with another kid. He lived a very complicated life while the other kid was spoiled. He started chasing ML and tried to get his life back.

If someone really loves twisted violent straight romance, then my recommendations are going to be very different than if they prefer fluffy novels with healthy relationship dynamics.
