There's something I've been thinking about. I get that in the novel, she didn't end up with anyone and did her saintess thing but does that mean the manga will have the same ending? There was a romance tag on the manga and there seems to be many romantic moments, especially with her knight, so I'm wondering, could the manga have a love interest for the female lead? I've read manga where the anime is different from the manga so I hope it's the same thing here.
So I don't know for sure but some people here said the manga was going in a different direction than the novel, so yeah. Also some people said that Who Made Me a Princess didn't follow the novel and I think they said in the novel there wasn't any specific love interest but the manga has shown us there is a love interest, and on here people said somethings made them think of who made me a princess so there's a chance that just like who made me a princess if what i read was right, that there is a love interest. Though there may not be one as even though the knight seems to have feelings, mc hasn't had feelings for any of the possible ml's and the little romance she did have was to just show how little she knew about people and the outside world , I think.

I've seen worse fathers tbf Worst fathers that got off a lot easier XD The main issue I found from the "conflict" was politic's and cowardice played a role in Keira's death back at TL1. Had her father been, i don't know, the literal king then I'd be inclined to jump on the bandwagon. But he wasn't, and people wanted the "fake" dead because of their legend. All I saw ws a bad father with his hand's tied. Makes sense that she'd "forgive" him and move on with her life after some space. Also kinda required if she want's to have any kind of normal life.
I may have misunderstood the spoilers, so please correct me if I’m wrong: The prophecy stated that he had to kill one of his children so they don’t bring disaster upon the empire. How credible was this prophecy? And even with a completely credible prophecy, killing one of two people who haven’t done anything to fulfil it yet just seems callous and stupid. If you know that one of them will pose a danger to society someday, put them both under surveillance and prepare countermeasures. Don’t just kill one off prematurely and call it a day. Besides being immoral, it’s also stupid. You don’t have the certainty of having made the right choice. Why not kill them both at that point? Also, I’m not buying the cowardice justification. I mean, even if he’s not the emperor, he’s still the grand duke. That’s an extremely powerful position, and I couldn’t see the emperor or anyone being willing to go to war against the second strongest person in the empire. If you as a grand duke don’t even have enough power to protect your immediate family, then what’s the point? Lastly, him killing his own innocent child for humanity’s well-being doesn’t justify the fact that things wouldn’t have had to escalate this far if he had gone just a bit more smartly about handling the situation.

The comment wasn’t made to justify the father. It’s acknowledged that he is a bad father But as a grand duke tasked with protecting the people. I mean if someone was rumoured strong enough to bring humanity to disaster saying you’ll wait till it happens before taking action can go both ways, either your preparations are adequate or they fail and people die due to it, he may be a grand duke but decisions on the safety of the general public does not rest on his opinion alone. And the prophecy is quite valid as it did happen, they just made the wrong choice on the person to kill.
But that’s exactly it. Killing someone with no solid proof that they’re a threat can go horribly wrong and isn’t necessarily the best way to go about the issue. The plot itself has proven that, given that Cosette succeeded in the OG timeline. From what I’ve seen, MC got executed because she was thought to be a witch. The duke made no additional investigations and just let it happen, despite her having grown up as his child for most of her life. If he had solid, irrefutable evidence that the MC specifically was going to destroy their kingdom, and he executed her with a heavy heart, that would have actually made him an interesting character, but that’s not what’s happening here. He’s just a dipshit who can’t muster enough interest to help his own child (and wife) escape the jaws of death, not because he has no way of doing that, but because... I don’t even know, honestly. I still don’t have a clear reason as to why he couldn’t have investigated her situation, or kept her under surveillance. Think about it: even planting something like a bomb collar on her as a precaution would have been better than just outright killing her because the people think she’s a witch that will destroy the empire. He had means other than killing her off, and if he had even the slightest shred of human decency towards a child that for better or worse grew up with him as a ‘parent’, he would have looked for a better way to go about things. I’ll admit, my argumentation is heavily based on emotions, one of my most hated tropes is a parent who will sacrifice their child for honour or out of loyalty to their monarch or anything along those lines. I just can’t stand the guy, and regret not seeing him suffer enough at the end of the story. Then again, I can’t really see any way to make him suffer short of destroying the empire he’s tried to protect. He’s so emotionally detached from literally everyone that I’m incredulous that he actually felt bad for killing off Keira in the first timeline. He didn’t even feel bad when he watched his wife die, right? Both of them have people who defend and people who attack them. I personally hate both of them. Claude is an emotionally immature pos who can’t process his issues in a healthy way, with his child suffering for it, and Ludwig is probably a psychopath whose first response to his child being accused of witchcraft is the guillotine, no questions asked, no other investigations made. F*ck both of them honestly.
