So, on a light subject. At first I thought eating chocolate with mayo wasn't something normal, but when a relative ate chocolate spread with mayo on white bread; I suppressed my feelings of disgust, tried it and then fell in love with it. I though that it was just something normal in another part of the world, and I was just late to the party. It's just the right amount of sweet and tangy, just right below a lemon cake. Now after reading a few peoples posts about Xmas food, I found a lot of people hating the chocolate and mayo combo. Even calling it blasphemous XD. I mean come on, it wouldn't be as bad as the watermelon and mustard, right? That viral trend way back when, it really weirded me out. How do you feel about Chocolate and Mayo? Have you tried it?
I have heard of peanut butter and mayo. Nutella and mayo been next? Get that hazelnut and Hellman's combo going.
I will not be tricked into eating something weird by you framing it as a normal thing that's just misunderstood. That sounds gross and my intuition is telling me it is gross.
Burn the Witch!!! But logically, people eat chocolate custard and chocolate eggnog so chocolate mayonnaise is the next logical progression.
I *hate* mayo. So anything mayo is a no go for me. However, if you love mayo maybe dark chocolate and kewpie mayonnaise would work. I could even see white chocolate. I mean, they make chocolate hummus! How gross is that?
I really think that this depends on how it's prepared/what proportions, because mayonnaise is a source of fat, and eggs. Which could potentially work out.
I would like to point out that mayo is for all intents and purposes just fat, anything you add chocolate and butter to you can replace the butter with mayo and it'll do the same job while adding a bit of a tangy flavor. there is a chocolate and mayo cake that I've had that was very delicious, the cake was moist, tangy, and Very chocolatey. so while odd someone might make a sandwich of choco and mayo spread, isn't too far off recipes that call for the two and honestly prolly taste pretty good~
