Spoiler: Chapter 116 spoiler Sidina convinces Maxi to go to the banquet dressed up beautifully with another man to draw out Riftan's jealousy and make him explode. That man in Sidina's mind is none other than Sejour Aren. When approached for the task, Aren hesitates, but says "it seems you are here to offer me a great adventure." He is aware of what he is being tasked to do, and accepts despite the risks. No Riftan in this chapter, but Sejour and Sidian are both endearing and hilarious. It's well worth buying the full chapter to read it, and supports the writer's hard work and "rice bowl".

LOL I can feel already that it was a funny chapter. But, I'm also kinda nervous about Riftan's reaction. I am sure that our dear Riftan will be jealous. I think we all know that already that's why almost all of us here wanted Maxi to attend the banquet, but what I'm worried about is on how will Riftan handle his jealousy. I'm a bit nervous because he can use this opportunity to discourage maxi even more. At this point, I'm putting all of my faith into Sejour Aren. Please do something that will push Riftan to finally talk to Maxi.
if he discourage her after she is dressed sexy just to catch his eye then we should give him a prize for self control
Thank you for this cute short spoiler.....this is the best chapter after author's comeback I feel. Even by reading these few lines I have a smile on my face and hopes that this time Riftan might talk to Maxi and give her the love which she deserves. But I also fear because our great author is famous for twisting the story at crucial moments thus giving the readers a mini heartattack. I just pray this naughty prank of sidina would not back fire on Maxi wherein Riftan would start thinking maxi is more suited with a noble like Sejour. Can't wait for Tuesday's update
Spoiler: Maxi’s dress Maxi’s dress is way more low cut and tight fitting than she’s used to. All of the options were too tight for her, but Sidina hypes her up, saying she looks great and it’s not as low-cut as others currently in fashion. Poor Maxi says she feels like her chest is going to “explode at any moment … like a sausage stuffed too much” I hope she can feel comfortable it it soon! Shes really taking a big leap forward in trying to be more self confident and putting herself out there

I'm worried about Maxi in the next chapter whether she would get embarassed or hurt.. i know she is doing this out of desperation to get Riftan back.. i can understand her because Riftan is someone very close and dear to her and she never want to lose him... i hope everything goes well during the banquet and Riftan will send her back to her barrack after the banquet instead of Sejour Aren .. (or somewhere else where they could have explosive snu2)

I so not want Agnes coming and taking away Maxi - Riftan moment in the banquet or post banquet. Agnes has this irritating habit of seeking attention. I don't want the author to mention anything related to Agnes and just want the banquet chapters filled with Riftan and maxi moments, some Hebaron, Sejour,sidina too but just don't include Agnes plz
You guys are so funny I almost always find myself fidgeting to refresh this. Chapter 116 is a tad longer than the usual chapters. Spoiler: A little glimpse of 116 After reading heavy chapters it's refreshing to read this lighthearted chapter that involves how Maxi's friends try to cheer her up and even plot to make Riftan jealous by turning Maxi into their doll and making her over to the most beautiful person of the night's banquet. It's funny to read how they pondered over who the qualified escort candidates could be. They even considered Quahelion, because on looks & skills he could certainly match Riftan, but just thinking about it they could already imagine how he would look at them with contempt. HAHA. I'm still not giving up on him asking Maxi for a dance! It completely surprised me tho that the dresses were from King Rueben saying it was his form of apology. Hmmm...still kinda sus. But I can't wait to see in the manhwa the tight fitting, deep cut square neckline, pearlescent silk dress that Maxi is rocking. Show 'em watchu got honey! My fave part is how Sejour Aren, looking very dashing in his fur coat, even lost his composure when he saw Maxi. Even after thinking that escorting Maxi, with her looking all gorgeous, could go way past a 'joke'. He still agreed and even said that it was worth risking his life Please let Riftan be present in the banquet! As much as I crave a little petty jealousy to thaw the coldness between the two, I really want him to see Maxi and remember that they could still have sweet moments even in the middle of a brewing war. Gosh does anyone else have feelings of impending disaster? And I don't believe King Ruben sent the clothes--I don't believe he is capable of ever apologising to anybody-- more like Sidina begged them off Princess Agnes. I don't want Maxi making her first big public appearance liiking like a noble's concubine, she should be escorted by her husband if anyone, and Sejour Aren is clearly embarassed by her appearance, although I do trust him to do his best to make things right between her and Riftan if it is in his power. He is probanly planning to deliver her to Riftan's hand as soon as they enter the banquet hall. (If Riftan even shows up, and if he isn't officially escorting Agnes or something awful like that.) And the other pitfall is if Maxi gets drunk, like she ALWAYS does at Banquets. But maybe then Riftan will carry her home again and put her to bed. I am so afraid she will be mortified with embarassment next chapter, when I really want is for her to stand up, souverain and confident. Well... its a long wait til Tuesday.
I'm with you on a lot of this! Maxi could easily be the centre of gossip and contempt, and given the patriarchal standards, become a political embarrassment to Riftian. My thoughts drifted there when I was wondering why the king would give her a dress... That said, the author may choose not to go in that direction, and I for one would welcome a more lighthearted path!
