Those are actively cleaned up by @runsing actually. Same thing for: Shounen Ai + Male Protagonist Shoujo Ai + Female Protagonist Yuri + Female Protagonist Yaoi + Shounen Ai Yuri + Shoujo Ai The gist of it is that the genre in itself is self-explanatory and already has the protagonist with the given genre by default, so there is no point in adding the tag. It will just clutter the overall amount of tags that the novel has. There are some other things that are actively cleaned up regularly for the sake of avoiding redundancy, but I kinda forgot about them because it's been forever since I touched tag cleanup work.
