Is there a way to exclude, like... an entire country on the release home page? I know you can do so with genres and the like. I really don't want to keep seeing Japanese novels since I don't like Japanese media. It's just making it harder for me to find some good novels.
Tony doesn't want people to exclude by country because he prefers them to keep an open mind~ Like, giving up on genres you dislike is obviously fine, but giving on novels written by a whole country...? He felt like it wasn't a very sensible feature, so he decided to not implement it.
kinda sick of seeing the exact same fantasy magic and sword or high school romance novels on my feed tho tbh. like, half to 3/4 of it is japanese novels, and i literally never read them these days, even when i do its after i search a specific tag and the novel just happens to be japanese~~
If you're using the Series Finder, then you can filter by language. It's just the homepage that can't be filtered by language.
ah, i meant that my homepage is all filled with the japanese stuff. omg i just went and checked my release filtering list, female protagonist and shounen ai/yaoi are checked no wonder half the homepage is filled with the same japanese stuff. went an removed xuanhuan, slice of life, and harem the entire home page is empty now LMFAO
You can exclude languages using content blockers such as uBlockOrgin. https://forum.novelupdates.com/posts/6744287/
I just extremely dislike how Japanese novels are written, and since most of them are the same: "Omg big tiddies. Omg Harem. Durrrrr misunderstandings. haha dense mc funny and cool." Note, I say most of them, not all. Sure, some are good, but like, I don't want to keep seeing stuff like "Impregnation Reincarnation Adventurer" Or "Oh no! After I Reincarnated, My Moms Became Son-cons!". And, those are the majority of novels I see. Sure, some slight variations, but most of them are like that. Extremely rare cases that I like Japanese novels, it's not even a normal novel. I can confidently say, the only novel I like is "Summoning Japan".
