Can I disable the LEDs on my hardware by simply detaching the LED+ and LED- from my motherboard?

    edit:
Just tried removing them and the LED I want to turn off wasn't affected (just the one from the ON/OFF button).
When I checked it looked like the light I want to turn off is connected to the fan at the back and I don't think I can just unplug that one.

Which parts do you want to turn off the LED?

Many parts have built-in LEDs such as Motherboard, GPU, RAM. They all have their control panel; you can turn the LED off by installing and using it. Using BIOS also can help.

Or you can find if that part can turn off LED or not by searching part name + turn off LED on Google.

    Thanks for the invite.
Led+ and led- on motherboard is for front panel connectors.

It dose not affect the motherboard.

You need to remove the rgb strips, fans from the RGB or ARGB 3 or 4 pin.

As for motherboard it self, you need download a driver to do it.

Though there will still be some kind of led for debugging.

There might be a led controller connecting with a sata power cable or a 4 pin molex cable from your power supply. Remove it will disable the Led.

but if you go for such an absolute way i would question why buying stuff with rgb in the first place

personally i would rather go for some software control

Before I swapped the motherboard I could turn it on and off with a switch.

instead of a reset switch my case got a RGB control + on/off button ...

if my mainboard wasnt about 6 years old i guess i could control that with a software suite too
