I suspect that the text is not full - in some places (the most intimate ones) there are dots on the line and a remark 'same old' (like the reader must understand what happened) I am not sure this is the entire text. it's normal. that isn't because is missing something but because of ccp heavy censorship. any 18+ rated scene will be removed or not writen.
it's basicaly China censorship. they remove any content 18+ from any content published. Edit: and anything that may bring a "negative" image to china.

You can still find a lot of content that may bring negative image to China. A lot of kingdom building Chinese novels subtly portrays china extremely good and others extremely bad.
