I've been around for awhile now, commenting on a good percentage of the novels I've read. This has left a pretty extensive trail behind with the same name and profile image I've used consistently across the internet, so sometimes people recognize me from them. I went back on some old series to check out the comments I've made and it's quite fun seeing how my persona has changed over time. Do you have any comments you've made in the past that you think are particularly interesting to you given how you've changed?
I have seen/edited some of my comments (not only on nuf but also on other sites) and yup it is fun to see the changes... I am not taking them down tho esp for timeline and personal records~ Remembers I used to *sigh* a lot although I still do irl~
Not much of an online presence (barring here) and hardly any comment trails. Just used to be an unknown grunt in the ubiquitous F5 army.
I sometimes see my old comments on novels when I get an email that someone liked them. Well, some are normal but others are too enthusiastic(?) lol but nothing changed I guess. Thank goodness I usually change my name.
It's very interesting to see how my taste in stories and commenting style has just changed in over the course of half a year. At the start of the year, I went around commenting on Korean transmigration novels. My comments consisted of things like "OMGGGGGG shes so cool, I frickin love her, YAS QUEEN", "omg he better come and YEET this witch out of space for saying that" ^ (if you can't tell, my style of commenting has changed quite a bit) I then got over the phase of leaving comments, and I started reviewing instead. My reviews were somewhere along the lines of "Wow, the ML is trash but the FL is so badass, and I love the side characters, they were so cute and lovable aweee" ^ (lots of these got deleted cuz I asked NU to remove them, they were unfair representations of the stories) I then completely got over the relatively kid-friendly phase, and started reading really R-rated transmigrations, left a few reviews on those trying to give excuses to the character's really disgusting actions. I then just got over Korean novels and straight novels and jumped right into Chinese BL. I left no comments or reviews. After reading all of the fully translated Chinese BL I could lay my hands on, I started to read newly released ones, the ones that had 1 or 2 chapters on NU. I left reviews for them (mainly positive, if I had any negative impression of a story, I wouldn't bother to leave a review. I wanted to write a review to attract attention to these new works, not direct it away). My reviews were slightly less biased before and had bullet points of different story arcs, pros and cons of the story as I saw them, etc. I also love going to forums now and just replying to any threads where it's possible for me to participate in. So overall writing this post has been a fight between my logical side and the side of me that wants me to just delete everything and wipe my black history from the face of this earth!
none perhaps? this cat already adult when starting read online novel so not change too much, if ya insist the difference only on tone from normal to less serious~ still on online game forums..... nah nothing either, in game behavior will be vary tho....
Mmmmmmm... Not on novels, but some thread comments that I talked about myself, I remember looking back on them and being like, "Oh wow, I changed a lot!" Also, looking back on my writing and being like... "Well, I definitely improved since that time~"
I was editing my reviews for a while before giving up. The things I gave 5 stars to...so embarrassing.
Totally get you. Read read read a lot is truly expanding your brain function, knowledge, etc. When goes back to read the old comment/novel, I want to say I was still a wee kid that needed to read more before I write.
I just need to look at my old reviews on nuf to see how cringey I was. it's probably from my early teenage years
Oh yeah... Not so much has changed but certainly i feel like i have come far. Sometimes I remember how I laughed at reading digital books and teased my sis for reading fake novels. Lol now I'm reading shits just to get my fix for the day.
It's interesting how you can compere your own point of view in present time and past by reading own comments. Overall I did only few of them but they are mostly not compatible with current me.
