Would you rather

So i haven't had much time to hop on novelupdates as frequently as I'd like since the beginning of the Covid era. just enough time to read the stories ive already bookmarked (manga, novels, anime) and as such I have not been on the forums very much. When I do hop on its usually involving BL in the header on the home page. So in the hope of introducing some variety here is a "would you rather?"

Would you rather have the power to read entire stories before they are released, like you can reach into the future and pull out the next chapters of whatever you are reading, and never have to wait for updates, or hiatuses again? (if it ends early, axed etc. tough shit)
or
Would you rather have the power to bring back a story from a cancellation, dead author, etc. but still have to wait for updates as the authors made the story? (the story will be written in a separate dimension where all conditions such as finances, personal health of creators, and what-have-you are optimal but may still need personal time just to hash out their ideas)

Go crazy guys and give me your in detail perspectives and choices. I just reread some of berserks chapters just a minute ago and find myself choosing option two.

 

I'd pick the dead author/story revival. Really want to finish cut and paste.

 

I suppose the first option also includes translations of the future chapters or they would be of as much use to me as they are now, i.e., a hope in the distant horizon.

 

correct. option one would be like going into the future and bringing all of the chapters to the here and now. no wait between chapter releases or cliffhangers that stretch years

 

Second. Can never get over cancellation of ID greatest fusion fantasy story ever (just a manhwa title, not opinion).

 

Depend from the type of story. I often find myself enjoying the discussion in the forums about the novels/manga/book while i'm reading instead of simple reading the novel/book/manga alone.

 

no reason that would stop with either choice, just the manner of discussion might change a bit.

 

Can the first have the ability of the latter? So I choose first..

I’ll choose the first option as you can read ahead even if the author decides to drop it plus I’m not really patient.

 

I'd go with option one as that way i could know beforehend if the story would get dropped and thus avoid it. Only complte stories from then on! =)
