Looking for a novel that has a MC that isn't exactly the strongest or smartest but through preparation/past experience is able to keep pace with his OP superiors or defeat strong monsters. Sort of a mix between a jack of all trades and a underdog.

The Legendary Mechanic Trash of the Count’s Family Soul of Negary Regressor Instruction Manual - haven’t read far so I’m not sure if he will be able to keep up with op chs but he’s quite cunning
I haven't read many action novels but I think Dokja from Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, Ren Dover from The Author's POV, and Klein from Lord of the Mysteries are pretty smart and cunning.
Demon's Diary - I haven't finished reading it yet but for the first 100 chapters, mc is not op at all - weeelll, he does have a talent (doing 2 things at once) but it only helps him catch up to some other's cultivation speed - he also does have a golden finger, but it's similar to Fang Yuan's cicada in Reverend Insanity (gives him an advantage but is also a threat)
