Spoiler: Ian's innocence and knowing Laritte's name

During the banquet in the capital where the Empress and the Prince is present, Laritte will be kidnapped. Ian will successfully enter the ball and will tell the arisctocrats that he is not a traitor. He will show the Dragon's Tear (a family heirloom). He asked the prince if the tears are real since the royal family will be able to know if any part of a dragon shown is real since they are half-dragons. Prince confirms that the tears were real and Ian decides to drink it and the interrogation started. Blablabla. He was not a traitor and his name is now clean and he claimed his title back. yay. He proceeds to go the Count Brumayer (not sure if it was Brumayer or something since I am forgetful when it comes to name) He came to the Count's mansion with his female knight named Redra (?) Then asked where is Rose (Laritte). The countess brought him to Rose room and saw Rose. He said that Rose isn't his wife. It was a girl with silver hair. Then they told him Laritte was the illegitemate daughter and they sent her in behalf of Rose. Blablabla. Rose was afraid (?) and told him that she sent Laritte away.

Spoiler: Saving Laritte

He went outside the capital and went to save Laritte. He was able to cope up with the carriage and opened it. He saw laritte in a corner wearing worn out dress. Then they called each other's name for the first time. Her Shoulders dislocated and Ian was angry.

Laritte knew Ian's name through a newspaper.

this could be Chapter 21-30 in manhwa. Not sure with this one. Just guessed it.

Yes its annoying that people simp for psychotic characters that have killed many people but its their opinion its their choice to simp for a psycho so just ignore them and keep on reading cause everyone has their own way of thinking its their problem.

You can't blame him for that as she also didn't care to clarify and it's not like he'll know that his bride changed to someone else As he didn't even knew Rose's apperance and only knew that the person he was going to get married to was named rose.

I don't know what's going to happen in coming chapters but after reading first few chapters I assumed that the FL will be one of those dead FL you know like those FL's who don't have much presence in the story despite being the lead character so they feel more like an annoyance in the story and after reading your review I guess I was right. Lol

 

I'm here to rant! Hahaha.. What the!? Why are authors of these kind of plots looovvess to portray women needs to be abused for the plot to be dramatic? Is that really a veeerrryyy common selling point? Arrrgghh ...

Honestly, I'm a little disappointed by some of the reactions. I think the FL's personality is quite interesting. She's a lone wolf character who you see early on in her ideal habitat - alone in a decrepit mansion that she diligently works to clean and live in and make her own. She has a lot of pride in having ownership of a house. Once she meets the ML, as thanks for saving him, he tries to pull her into his world to give her what he understands "happiness" to be - what society expects people to want (riches, jewels, clothes, titles). And at each turn he (and everyone else) is met with her loner personality that neither requires men/a lover, friendship, wealth or honor. He finds himself thinking that perhaps what he wanted for her (the life of a duchess) wasn't actually what would make her happy - that she was happier when they were alone in that old house hunting for food. She doesn't care what people think of her. She's just living her life her way, passively and uncaring. She doesn't live to please other people, she lives for herself. I think she's quite refreshing. There are a lot of FL's who will go out on adventures and do things - and that's attractive too. But I like her personality that does not follow norms and keeps people around her on their toes, questioning whether or not the way they think and live is correct. I don't find her dull at all.

I dislike that they say she doesn't do anything. I felt she was helping a lot. She just didn't need a ton of attention for every little thing she did for him. Cooking, cleaning, cutting up the furniture, nursing him back to health, chasing people off, and that's just the start. She quietly stood by his side doing everything she could all the while believing the benefactor of her actions would not be her. That he would have a 'proper' wife when he found out because he would find her background humiliating for him. I think she is very strong. Just not the type to draw attention to herself. Her alone knowing was enough

 

The FL is actually witty and mentally strong. She's just really helpless because that's the author's selling point. So I guess some readers does not get the fact that she's in a situation where she has no rights (even to live) under the household since the head abuses her everything follows. It is indeed frustrating... to make a story line as such because the readers would hate FL for being still. That's why I'm so frustrated with the author. lol

Spoiler: Seta concerns

Seta - the dragon, said that ML and FL should not supposed to met each other. That's why he said that being together brings bad luck to FL as the natural mana automatically corrects their intersection. Swords master and Dragons are the only beings that can defy the natural mana and thus makes our FL not immune to the small accidents

Any spoiler about what seta said?
I thought this may cause a red flag or something.
Also I wonder what may happens to seta as he may hold a responsibility for defying the mana of the world by playing as a fortune teller to the people he found interesting their own small futures.

 

Can i ask something for trigger warning questions? Is it implied (or even outright said) that the fl is sexually assaulted during the kidnapping? The sister mentions that she told the guards to do so. I would just have a really hard time reading if they actually did that.

 

No, in the novel she was sent out of the capital in a carriage and ML has caught up with them and stopped the carriage. Nothing of that sort was mentioned. The novel itself is quite pure, so you’re safe to read.

 

They (guards) dislocated her shoulder and took her in a wagon. (I think she kinda faint due to the pain ??)
