I can't speak for larger websites but when it comes to ad revenue, when the same readers read multiple chapters in a short span of time, it is seen as fake traffic. Basically, spamming chapters means you earn less ad revenue. I don't release more than one chapter of a novel in a single day if I can help it. @nonononononono
Don't they just do that so that they don't have to pay you? wouldn't it be better if ppl had to login to read proving that they aren't bots so that they can't use it as an excuse not to pay?
It is something that should be considered but one person reading binge reading basically dilutes the value of ads.. I can't think of a better analogy at the moment, sadly. I guess it is like how overexposure reduces the value of something. Breaks are needed
I don't release that frequently. But some of my group members are very passionate fanslators. my invalid traffic always float around 20%
It's basically a supply and demand thing if there is too much the price goes down so you need too keep it small so that the value is high.
I don't remember how Wuxiaworld dealt with this; probably did so before I started working there. I do know at the time they were using Monetize More for their ads. In any case, maybe you can contact your ad provider and discuss it with them so they will know they are legit views?
