This novel is tagged “steampunk” which is interesting based on the FL’s dress in the cover. The plot seems similar to the English book/movie “The Time Traveler’s Wife” as there is a dude who travels through time and meets his wife as a child after marrying her in his current timeline.

 

So I guess after reading the description I guess she is his first love but there is some twist.

After reading the synopsis I thought that Julian was Melchior, why? Since Melchior himself also doesn't remember about his childhood memories, and julian is said to be similar to Melchior but younger, makes sense right?

She ends up with Melchior, they are planning to have children.
And yeah, Julian is Melchior younger self, no other reason why they said he liked when she called Julian's name from time to time, and says he is no longer his younger self, either that, or MR. Melchior is one big cuck.

Ok, I can confirm after reading again the chapter, Melchior and Julian are the same person, for some reason Melchior had the powers to cross time.
He had internal thoughts, like what if Roselain or him ended up missing the past because he is getting older.

 

so uh what happens to julian? does he disappear? does he merge with melchior? what in the threeway marriage is going on with this tryst?

sounds like a good novel! the plot really reminds me of “i became the stepmother of an irrevocable dark family” in the sense that the ml has 2 versions of himself

In this chapter she is walking in the garden and gets transferred a few years back in time where she meets a pre-teen Julius (younger ML self) who is being bullied by some older kids. She saves him and gives him her name. He is happily smiling and calling her his saviour. MC returns back, but she doesn’t realize that it was anything supernatural and that she has just moved through time.
