Gosh, I said the same thing in ROS, he is failing as the Emperor, Ellea Empire is just as powerful as Terban Empire, isn't that why they keep the peace treaty, Terban also stay in Zevenica for a year before. But why is the nobles, even the Emperor treated Princess Ellea like some kind of hostage, no one came to her rescue (only Chaylen), Terban and Imperial knight only rushed toward Shanil who is too shocked to even move not the Princess who fly and fall from the running horse, even if it doesn't cross his stupid mind that someone might tampered with the horse, he has enough common sense no, to call the doctor or something. Ellea family adore her so much, if they knew she is been treated that way I'm sure they would wage a war for her.
Like seriously Ellea, look at the man you were in love with, he isn't so shining and perfect when the wool is removed from over her eyes. We are seeing all his faults and how stupid he actually is, Such a man leading the empire is a disgrace. The author is probably going to do what they do in those chinese novels by saying ml was completely deceived by white lotus and there is nothing wrong with him. This novel isn't popular on kakaopage and I see why
Nah, it's obvious from how the story going, Terban would be the ML, even the subtitle dedicated for him. I don't mind a flawed ML, but then the author glorified the ML in the next chapter, even the translator pointed out all the contradictory, it's just a bunch of plot hole I guess.
I have just finished reading chapter 80 I have to say this the story progress is so slow, no character development to the Emperor as he still side with his girl Shanil He only has a change of attitude when Ellea gets in trouble or gets injured Also what's wrong with this weak portraies of the Fl character , in her mind she doesn't want to get involve with the emperor but her action says the opposite, she strongly and firmly refused Chaylen help to escort her to the palace when they went drinking because she wants to avoide rumors but gladly and merely accept the Emperor's then gets herself in the unwanted situations and the same things happend in the hunting competetion the author is strangly forecing these two together and its clear who is the ML Think I will drop this novel as the plot is repeated and cliche.
Spoiler: about the accident that shaneil had before when they were little, shaneil and her father went to the palace. her father told her to be close to the crown prince. at that times, crown prince was literally sick of fake relationships which everyone try to make some. and when they left room for playin CP tells to shaneil to come to the end of the roof and sit with him. he told her that if she succes this they will become friends. she immediately comes to the location where he is but (i did not understand that part clearly) she purposely fell to the ground from the roof. because of it she had a scar on her forhead and also she weren’t able to walk for a while. so CP feels guilty about this
Reading about this again I cant help but sigh in ML's stupidity. I still blame him mostly for MC's (EL) death
Any spoilers ? Can’t we have two endings one with Terban as ML and the other Cayden as ML But I really hope author won’t turn Cayden into a villain just to make Terban the ML

You must have read old-school Chinese romance novels. The MLs in their top chart novels nowadays are absolutely scary, the other characters can mess up with the gods but they can't mess with the ML. It's Korean novels that are going thru the old phase of Chinese romance novels when FLs had to end up with trash, weak, beta ML

Because it was a story that the emperor could not have known. He did not deny it, perhaps in the corner of his heart, he would acknowledge that one day, Shanil would stand by his side.
Wow. An emperor so useless he has to resort to books and let someone else take over an entire imperial investigation? Wow.
LOL, the author trying to show a lovey-dovey moment between two leads in the library but it backfired, instead it show how incompetent the ML is. Even the prime suspect got easily murdered in Prison after Ellea risked her life to secure the evidence and catch the culprit, just what the hell is he doing? Does he really believed a mere maid would commit such felony to Imperial Princess, doesn't it cross his mind there is some powerful mastermind behind her who could get rid of her at any moment. They already trying to burn the horseman (with Ellea) and the evidence along with it, he should learn from that and at least strengthen the security.
I mean Emperor fell for the most obvious framejob in all of existence in MC's first life. Emperor is a muscle brain dude only without the charm of being simple minded since as a Emperor he shouldn't be, but is.
Spoiler: ML and ending Terban,black hair blue eyes Ending was him confessing to her after reading her letter saying she always loved him, he stopped the carriage and told her he loves her no matter who she really is, and them going together to Rubane/Lubain. What an ending, my man grew some balls, he needed 181 chapters to do so. BTW, I only read the last chapter
