Recommendations Anime you've rewatched, if any?

I've tried coming back to many old anime and been finding them to be less than I remembered.

What anime have you rewatched thinking it was near as good or better than the first go around?

For me, I think comedy anime are great for a rewatch; shows like saiki k, nichijou, danshi koukousei. My theory is their short form skit-like nature has something to do with it. Something about the slower, longer narratives always lose me.

 

lol yeah i agree! i've rewatched opm, some episodes of gintama (very long but the eps are in mini arcs so thats always great for rewatching but the downside is i cant remember what eps were my favs TT)

have been meaning to watch maid sama again, i miss the old style of shoujo

I rewatched quite a few in the past but the first ones that come to mind would be

Hunter x Hunter
Charlotte
Danmachi
Overlord
Rewrite

 

Black butler, overlord, devil is a part-timer are the only anime I have rewatched. I still enjoyed them the second time.
Wouldn't mind rewatching himouto, kobayashi dragon maid, mirai nikki, happy sugar life, citrus - although I am certain I will like them less the second time around.

 

Grand Blue.
I still laughed non-stop whenever I rewatch it.

 

For the sake of angst, i would watch Banana Fish (if i feel like I laughed too much for the day). Also Natsume Yuujinchou for i cant help watching fat Sensei. For some excitement, i would watch some arcs in One Piece, especially fighting scenes

 

I don't rewatch anime anymore. The supply outweighs my demand by a lot, but back then I rewatched some Anime, that were coincidentally either better or had the same enjoyment by rewatching them, f.e.:

- Full Metal Panic
- Full Metal Panic Fumoffu
- Neon Genesis Evangelion
- Code Geass
- Death Note

If I had the time and no other Anime to watch, I would probably rewatch "Shinsekai Yori". It made a very deep impact to me as a child and I remember until this day some of the disturbing and traumatizing scenes.

The second Anime I would rewatch is: "Zetsuen no Tempest: The Civilization Blaster", because I don't remember anything about it, only that I was very impressed by the story and that I had a very good time with this Anime. Enough to make an extra effort to memorize and don't forget the title after all this time
I also gave it a 10/10, although I barely give such high ratings.

My third Anime I would rewatch is "C: Control - The Money and Soul Possibility", because I know, that with my current knowledge about economics, I would have a completely different take and viewer experience from my first watch.
I gave this Anime a 9/10 back then.

 

that's a longish list. not as long as my listed of watched but still long.

 

I don’t watch much anime like I used to in the past mainly because I’m busy but I’ll like to return to it, but there are few animes that I rewatched a lot before and sometime now when I want to watch but don’t feel like trying something new.

baccano! - to me one of my top rated anime, and it’s a completely underrated anime , but it’s so great the storyline is to me amazing, though it is complex and some might not be able to understand what the hell is going on, but still amazing anime.
Ouran high school host club - of course for the comedy.
Yamato nadeshiko shichihenge - a treasure of comedy . I laugh no matter what episode I watch.
overlord - I enjoy me some overpowered characters.
Mahouka koukou no rettousei- again ( overpowered characters)

It's not like I had any sort of expectation, it was just for the fun, but every Dragon Ball anime prior to Super (it just aired on tv and I watched it... tons of times as a kid) and Naruto's first anime (yes, fillers included)

I very rarely rewatch stuff, but I could easily recommend rewatching zombieland saga, even if just for the songs~

 

Hm, an older one I love to re-watch is Beast Player Erin (though that one is a real long slow narrative),
Recently I've been re-watching Twin Star Exorcists, but it's usually better to watch with a friend since it's more of one to make fun of since it has all the troupes. We did a check list; soooo many cliches. Still fun to watch though
other than that the others I'd have mentioned already popped up on other peoples, ouran, hunter x hunter, maid-sama

for a short, sweet delight to re-watch one, Monthly Girls Nozaki-Kun
only 12 episodes

 

kimi ni todoke always gets my heart running
as well as saiki k (my comfort show)
hmm and jujutsu kaisen is just beautiful

so ive rewatched those a lot :3
everytime i watch them they are just as good as i first saw them! (there are more i just can’t think rn)

Naruto shippuden because I keep trying to finish the manga canon parts of the war in anime but I just can't reach the end? I even have to hide and turn the volume lower because my brothers may see me watching for the nth time I feel embarrassed lmao. Come to think of it, I probably should stop trying by now, some greater force is stopping me I think...
