Recommendations Ramadhan....(I need Halal Stories)

I need halal stories to get through the month(keep in mind, I'm a girl). That means I can't read BL anymore(That's no excuse... I shouldn't be reading them anyway) so I need recs that don't have any smut in them. When I look through my reading, most of them are Bls and there are like 3 that aren't.

• No smut
• No harem
• No Tragedies or angst
• No bl
• No wishy-washy female leads
• I'm okay with Horror and Comedy

I realized when I checked my requirements that I lived a pretty unhalal life. Well I guess I gotta wait for my period

As long as you(Muslim) don't believe in it, its okay at least I'm pretty sure btw I know the platonic version of Yaoi is Shounen Ai but what about straight romance??

 

Well honestly, any romance story out there isn't safe. So better to stay away and keep your patience for now.

 

As a wannabe internet expert in religions etc, I have to point out that technically, all these religious fasting periods, be it Lent, Ramadan or others, are not about a specific list of "banned goods", but about sacrifice and self-limitation. Its just that main guidelines were written centuries ago when the idea of just having food could be considered as luxury. So yeah, any entertainment as it is, with any kind of novels included, would be off limits then.

Reading if done with intention of entertainment would be no-no. So reading with purpose of education (textbooks, instructions etc) or religion (holy texts then) would be the only acceptable thing.
If you really need a loophole (which a seriously religious person wouldn't consider, to be honest - what's the purpose of self-limitation and fasting if you think not about higher things, but how to get around the idea for your own convenience?), then you could look into reading novels as a part of educational activity. Picking up literature classes, analysis of text and stuff.

 

How are you more Muslim than meeeee, even my mom who is a serious religious person (Like really serious) does have entertainment which is mostly Facebook and she listens to speeche-

Welcome to 21st century. Religions were important historically for regulating society and giving people common guidelines to identify themselves. Nowadays, being able and determined to truly follow religious tenets would make one a clergy or a pretty radical fanatic. People might claim being truly religious, but since when has anyone seen a Christian ready to turn the other cheek or a Muslim who has actually truly never lied?
