Ugh. Well at least he seems to be shitty all the way and no 'uwu he is not so bad let's pity him' from the FL. Glad she knows it from the start. Makes it bearable because I'm here for the FL and ML not third wheels. Also that emperor is just . Makes me wonder how the countries survive in these stories with all these dumbasses on the top lol. I actually really love this FL, the way she's focusing on her happiness and Kardi's happiness only. No thoughts of revenge, she's only reacting when provoked. My fav thing is also her poofy hair in the manhwa lol she's adorable
I finished the spoilers and sooo happy cz seems like there will be no sweet potatoes in this series! So far, this is the best work of Rana (tho i haven't read all her works :v). I love the other works that already adapted (sierra, im in trouble cz my husband is so cute), BUT! This series is on another level! It's superr cute! Lovable couple, clear antagonist, satisfying plot (no sweet potatoes! ), sweet revenge, and great development (both plot and characters). I cant help but smile everytime i saw the update. It's fluffy, adorably cute, and satisfying! Now im dying to know about: 1. Climax conflict 2. Emperor and the nephew's ending 3. Brother ending 4. Their children
she was one of the highest status ladies in the country for 10 years after all. things like this is just a piece of cake for her. & as the other comment said, what made her so different from other female leads is the fact that she was loved & she knows she deserves respect. that gave her such a positive outcome.
Can anybody spoil about the "companion" thing in this lifetime? Because that was the cause of MCs death in her last life, so i wonder how they avoid it this time. Will they avoid it just by not going to any war as to avoid using MLs power? Or it kinda solved? Thankss
I read up to the beginning of volume 4 so far. Spoiler: Companion Issue This time Kardi finds out about it before even engaging in any war. He overheard his mother’s niece and MC talking about it. His cousin is former royalty from his mother’s country and Kardi’s power is from that family. Kardi is the only one in the current generation with the power. It’s like he would be their saint?? type. Anyway, I get the impression that the secret or breakthrough to his power might come from information from his grandmother if she’s still alive. The empire subdued their kingdom and that’s how Kardi ended up being born to the stupid emperor. The princess from that kingdom sacrificed herself to become the empress in the hope that she can protect the kingdom from the empire. After Kardi finds out his wife knew about the companion thing, something not even he knew, they had a Cold War for a bit. It doesn’t last too long though. The difference in this timeline is that MC intends to forge good relations with Kardi’s mother’s kingdom. She believes that this was always a burden in Kardi’s heart so this time she hopes to find a way to help the kingdom. It’s tricky because they also can’t afford to be accused of plotting treason.
Spoiler: Rough sequence of events MC visits emperor Kardi learns about marriage through the emperor and visits MC Brother returns to the capital Brother upset MC didn’t consult with marriage about him MC realizes she misjudges brother Kardi meets with brother to talk about marriage. Both drink and brother falls asleep drunk Both brother and Kardi are there when marchioness shows up to demand MC come out of the house to see her regarding rejecting her son’s proposal. Brother goes out instead but watches for a while as marchioness throws a tantrum. Brother upbraids marchioness and subtly convey that he may just report her conduct to the emperor who is eager to keep a good relationship with brother. Marchioness is forced to concede and leave docilely. I guess she can’t risk her son losing out on the throne. Kardi gives MC an engagement ring. Marriage takes place very fast but it’s different this timeline. Both men insist that the ceremony takes place at the temple where only royal special events take place. Even this the emperor begrudge Kardi but Kardi is the one who stipulate he will get married there because his bride deserves it. Both men donate huge sums to the temple. MC was a bit upset about it because they spending so much money. MC is escorted by her brother at the wedding. Brother subtly threatens marchioness by alluding to her prior conduct at his home in front of the emperor. The couple exchange vows and successfully marries. First night occurs at Kardi’s mansion in the capital. They were going to leave the next day but Kardi keeps MC up and then tired again until midday the next day. Couple leaves for the north. MC has to pretend she doesn’t know the house too much. The couple live their daily lives and MC makes some changes to the house. She’s much more proactive this time around. Change uniforms and just made the home brighter in atmosphere. MC gets acquainted with the knights. This is also necessary in order to begin the subjugation and discovery for mana stones. MC devises plans for various things like mana stone distribution, developing hot springs, building relationships with guilds, etc. All these things will make them wealthy. Using her brother’s network to store food for the north will also build relationships with northern nobles. It’s a path to make Kardi king of the north. Beasts attack villagers near MC’s land so MC takes this opportunity to tell Kardi about searching for mana stones. She lies and said she found information in the archives at her home in the south. (Her brother finds out about her lie later lol ) Kardi and his men find the mana stones. They also plant herbs to test later for detoxification. His men stay to guard the land. They will hire miners or workers to retrieve the mana stones. The couple visits the land a little later. The try the herb by putting it in wells that were abandoned for demon beast poison. The herb turns the water clear. Kardi tests the water’s toxicity with a reactor. Test results show water is clean of the poison. The couple visit the hot springs site and fires the manager for crimes, cruelty and corruption. The couple return home eventually and it’s time to get their businesses going. The hot springs will be built. They hire new administrators to take care of the land which is separate from Kardi’s estate. Emperor’s envoys come. The emperor tells the couple to rest and let his envoys take charge of management of the hot springs project and the estate. Couple is upset but can’t do anything. Couple visits the hot springs estate after so,s time passes. Administrators don’t know that the scammers are stealing construction wood and replacing them with cheaper supplies. Kardi oversaw construction before on behalf of the emperor so he is able to notice something is wrong unlike everyone else who has none of this experience. The couple and administrators heard children’s rumors of a ghost house. They realize something is off. They go to the house after dark and finds all the construction supplies, etc. Couple decides to entrap the scammers and put them against each other. They strict gold from spineless men. On the end, the emperor ends up embarrassed by the crimes his envoys committed. He gets upset with Essen. MC holds banquet for northern nobles. Goal is to establish better relationships. Emperor sends Essen as his spy. (This story reminds me of My Husband is Cute) He, of course bothers MC. He also spies on the happenings and will report to the emperor that the couple seem to want to establish relationships with northern nobles. Next day Essen breaks his foot playing polo. He leaves the north is shame since everyone noticed his poor sportsmanship. He blames his team mates for holding him back from winning. At some point MC buys the most shares in a top. This top deals with Kardi’s maternal country. The cousin visits MC after she heard she’s the owner. This is when MC talks about the companionship thing and Kardi overhears. Kardi is upset that he can basically kill her. They make up after some time. Cousin is still there and when she leaves, she tells MC she left a gift for her. The gift is a r19 book. MC reads it but isn’t impressed. Kardi sees it later that day and asks her if she like that kind of book. She tells him he’s better [in bed] than what she read in that book. So she isn’t impressed. lol Emperor sends letter to the couple about getting a portion from the mana stone sales. Kardi sends a letter refusing. Essen advises emperor to keep MC in check by sending letter to complain to her brother. Couple goes to spend thanksgiving with her brother in the south Brother receives offensive letter from emperor, gets offended and shares the letter to the couple. Brother responds to emperor with rescinding the subsidy for supplying wheat to the capital. Emperor is extremely upset with Essen for his advice. Demands the Essen family foot the bill for the price increase. MC gets sick during stay for thanksgiving. Kardi begins to get flashes of MC dead in his arms. He feels strongly that the flashes are not a dream. MC tries to deny there’s such a future. MC tries to find and sponsor a commoner artist who will become famous but gets caught up in scandal and falls into tragedy. (I think she killed herself or something tragic like that.) Those are the major things I remember. Some of them occur within the same time period so the sequence of occurrence might be a little mixed up. A lot of MC’s life in the north is making improvements, building relationships and establishing plans to grow their wealth.
