    7. Leonie, Childhood

Although Pellio and Varya's wedding ended safely, their honeymoon was only allowed after three years had passed.

    “Then go away.”

    Leonie was sad.

“If I did, I might have already had another brother.”

    “I hate my brother!”

    Beleani was horrified and objected.

    “I don’t need a brother!”

    "Why? My brother is cute.”

“Your brother is a living creature that can’t be found even in a bud.”

    “Is it self-introduction? .”

Leonie, who had become puzzled, held her excited little sister in a flash.

“Then please take care of me.”

Varya kissed the cheeks of her two daughters and said goodbye for a moment.

“Lea, don’t argue with your sister, and listen carefully.”

    “Hold on to your worries!”

    Beleani declared boldly.

“It’s like an older sister, because even if I don’t have it, I know how to do it well.”

    “I don’t hate you if you don’t say anything… .”

Leonie's narrowly folded eyes could not shake off the suspicious suspicion.

    “Anyway, don’t go.”

Pelio also kissed the foreheads of his two daughters before getting into the carriage.

“Go get a greeting from your son-in-law.”

    “Who is the son-in-law?”

    Pellio graduated from school.

“At this point, you too, stop accepting him as your son-in-law.”

    Varya sighed deeply.

Scandia was living in Borreotti as soon as Leonie graduated. Already, the public regards Scandia as the second hostess of Borreotti, but the owner of Borreotti has not yet given her permission to marry.

“Dad, I’m already twenty and three.”

It's been 4 years since we've been together.

“Will you give me permission to marry, or allow me and Skan to live together in an annex and make a living?”

“What kind of marriage are you at your age?”

Since Pellio had married over 30, Leoni was also planning to allow her to marry when he turned 30. On the other hand, he scoffed saying that what he was trying to do at fifty had been pulled for 20 years.

    “…….”

Leonie kept her mouth shut. He had a lot to say, but he was only drawing patience with filial piety.

“Skan-sama said goodbye to you in the morning.”

Varya comforted Leonie by telling her not to worry too much.

“Mom, I’ll go and try to convince you.”

“Isn’t it only the mother who is in danger by persuading her?”

An insidious punishment might be imposed on the pretext of danger.

    “Still, there is a possibility.”

    Varya lowered her voice.

“Your father and Skan-sama share a drink together.”

Although permission to marry is still pending, Pellio and Scandia have become very close compared to before. Drinks were often shared, and when Pellio went out for official work, he sometimes took Scandia with him to introduce himself to the people.

“If you go on a trip, maybe your dad will think positively.”

“I just hope that positivity doesn’t last three or four years.”

    In fact, Leonie was skeptical.

    “Sister, will you marry me?”

Beleani rubbed her face against Leonie's stomach.

    “I thought I already did!”

    “That’s right.”

    Leonie's smile was hollow.

“Okay, then Mom and Dad will really go back.”

As Varya said, it was time for a real departure.

    “Go! Papa!”

Beleani waved her hand vigorously. Varya got on the wagon first, and Pellio said his final goodbyes to the children who will remain in the mansion.

    “Lea listens to her sister.”

    “Think!”

“Leo, don’t steal my property under your name.”

“Forgive me at least one thing for taking care of my children.”

    “I am not a kid!”

Beleani bit Leonie's nose and shouted.

“… Ugh, I have to leave them behind.”

Varya, who was watching from the carriage, sighed deeply.

    “Go! When you come, brother!”

    “No!”

Leaving behind the fierce greetings of the eldest and second daughters, the carriage carrying the Duke and Duchess of Borreotti headed for the destination. The destination was the beach prepared by the Duke of Southern Aust. He was going to spend ten days in a villa where access was strictly restricted.

    “… Come on, then.”

Leonie entered the mansion with Beleani in her arms.

“My sister is going to be busy with work now.”

“Hey, why don’t we play together?”

“Your dad left too much work behind.”

“Dad is doing this to prevent older sister from playing with her brother-in-law.”

The clever baby beast boasted perfect reasoning.

    “Um, then… … .”

Beleani crossed her arms and thought seriously. Leonie gently rubbed the frown on his forehead with his fingers.

“I want to play with my brother-in-law.”

“Are you sure you are at the training ground?”

    “Hehe, Bboom-boom brother-in-law!”

Beleani took the lead with an excited gait.

“Aren’t you calling me a pretty girl now?”

Leonie, who was following me, asked in a mischievous voice.

“I am not a child! Soon I will be eight years old!”

“Heh, this older sister is already twenty-three.”

    “Wow, that’s very old.”

“You were planning to scold me today.”

Leonie shuddered and grabbed Beleani's ankle and lifted him upside down. Beleani burst out laughing.

After passing through the corridor, Beleani, who arrived at the Thorns Training Grounds, suddenly raised her head.

    “Wow, it’s a lion.”

On the ceiling was a roaring black lion with its mouth wide open, said to have once been painted by one of their ancestors.

“Don’t look too much at that. Later dreams are wild.”

Scared of putting it down on the floor, Beleani ran at a high speed.

    "Brother-in-law!"

At the loud cry, the knights made the way with happy smiles. At that place, there was a silver-haired knight who was kneeling on one knee and prepared to hug a wild beast.

    “Lea!”

    Scandia smiled broadly.

“If you fall while running like that, you will be seriously injured.”

“Hey, I’m not going to die like that.”

It is said that if he does not die, he is the best, and Beleani boasted of his vocabulary today as well.

“You have to break your nose before you wake up.”

Leonie, who had just approached me, nagged. Beleani puffed up her cheeks and gave her a sullen look.

“Why are your expressions so extreme?”

    “I’m worried.”

Leonie stroked the ugly little sister's hair. The pink headband on her beautifully cut short hair came out slightly. After Scandia combed Beleani's brittle hair by hand, she put the headband back on.

“My sister, I must be jealous because I am close to my brother-in-law.”

With no choice but to shrug, Beleani shrugged and shook her head. Scandia looked at Leonie as if it were real. His eyes twinkled with anticipation.

    “… What is jealousy?”

    Leonie snorted.

    “Anyway, ours.”

Scandia could not hide her disappointment and lowered her head.

    “You can only see me.”

One finger lifted Scandia's chin slightly.

    "right?"

As the dull gray eyes gradually regained vitality, Leonie gave a strange smile.

    “… A little!"

Beleani even pointed and nagged at two of her temporary guardians.

“Did you both forget that I was eight years old? This is not good for mental education of children! Take care of yourself.”

    It was all right theories.

    "sorry… .”

Scandia repented, saying that she had shown shame to a child. However, it was not Leonie.

“I have lived my whole life with self-respect!”

Rather, he countered that he was the victim and now deserves to enjoy it.

“Do you know how many chickens your father and mother were? I was caught in the middle and suffered and lived.”

"Then you should know that I'm having a hard time too!"

    "no."

    Leonie snorted.

“Rather, watching your dad and mom do it, I brushed my teeth saying I should live like that.”

    "Ugh… .”

Beleani said in a very sad voice, as if taunting him.

“When is my sister going to grow up… .”

Then he pulled Leonie into my small arms and hugged him tightly. Scandia, who had enjoyed watching the sisters fight, burst into laughter.

“Anyway, you two are good friends.”

“Did you hear me? Skan is a good older sister to me.”

“Your sister has a weak ear.”

Beleani, who had been grumbling about the stone coming out of her ear hole, had to face a tragic end.

    “Come on, levitate!”

Leonie covered the face of her beloved sister with her hands. And then he raised his arm.

    “Aaaah!”

As a result, Beleani had to stand on a painful crutch.

“Our muscles have a loud voice.”

Leonie was already immersed in memories. My younger sister's voice was different from when she was young. And the moment Leonie tried to put a little more strength in her arms.

    “Wrong! Wrong!”

Finally, a declaration of defeat came out of Beleani's mouth.

Meles, who was watching this from a distance, smiled.

    “… I feel dazed.”

At Meles' self-talk, the knights both nodded their heads.

    * * *

    “Your sister is too rude!”

Beleani was excited as she walked through the garden.

“How can you win over your younger brother when you’re that old?”

    “It’s hard to beat Leo.”

Scandia, who followed, agreed. Beleani opened her mouth wide, shivering in a sense of betrayal.

“Your brother-in-law should listen to me!”

    “But isn’t it true?”

    “…….”

Beleani pouted her lips and turned around.

“Heh, everyone only likes my sister… .”

For the next project, I do well in everything, and I get a lot of expectations from my parents. On the other hand, I was just a playful kid.

    “No one likes me.”

    “Don’t say that.”

Scandia gently caressed Beleani's protruding cheek. That said, the ball full of grumpy notes did not sink immediately.

“Everyone here likes Leah. Of course, I also like Leia-sama.”

    “But… .”

Beleani glanced into Scandia's eyes and then avoided her gaze. Then he kicked the ground with his feet.

    “Mr. Leah.”

Scandia took Beleani in her arms. Soon I took a leisurely stroll through the garden. Even though it was early spring, there was still a lot of white snow in the garden. Following Scandia's steps, the sound of his eyes being trampled on was followed.

“Leo is a little different from Leah-sama.”

    “What position?”

“Do you even know Leah now? Where did Leo grow up when he was young?”

    Beleani shook her head slowly.

    “It was an orphanage.”

Now Beleani knew that Leonie had a different mother than mine. This is because Leonie discussed it with his parents and came to the conclusion that Beleani was also of an age that he could know, and then told him directly. Of course, it wasn't all.

“Do you know what a noble born in an orphanage means?”

“You grew up in an orphanage?”

Scandia's expression darkened slightly at the naive answer. How happy the world would be if everyone thought like this. But he couldn't.

    “It means ignorant and ignorant.”

    Beleani widened her eyes.

“My sister is very smart and there is nothing she can’t do!”

Beleani was busy protecting her older sister, as if she had forgotten everything about her anger and pout a while ago. There were veins in his thin neck.

    “… Who did that?”

An angry beast sharpened her teeth to the top of her head.

“I’m going to rip off my neck… !”

“It’s all a thing of the past.”

Scandia calmed the baby beast. Even though he was still young, Boreotti was Boreotti, and the life Beleani exhaled was enough to make Scandia's skin tingle.

“So Leo worked many times harder than others.”

Even in order to directly scold the nobles who looked down on me, Leonie worked desperately to get to where I am today.

    Beleani opened her mouth wide.

    “Are you trying too hard?”

“There is no one in this world who does not work hard.”

She vaguely thought that she was an older sister who was good at everything, so what Scandia said to Beleani was quite a shock. But strangely, my heart became more at ease.

“There were times when even my sister couldn’t.”

    Beleani smiled mischievously.

Thanks to Scandia's comfort, Beleani quickly regained her energy.

“My brother-in-law is also a wonderful man!”

    "I appreciate your compliment."

The two returned to the mansion, holding hands.

    “What shall we play now?”

“Sister, I want to hear your story.”

The fact that Leonie had worked so hard, quite a bit of shock and great curiosity, bloomed in Beleani's mind.

    “When my sister was young!”

However, Scandia's expression was not good. With a slightly gloomy look, Beleani became anxious at the same time.

    “… no?"

Beleani drooped the tail of her lips.

“Are you going to do it alone?”

Scandia asked me to take her with me. Beleani smiled broadly and enthusiastically agreed.

“Then my brother-in-law is my subordinate!”

    “Yes, sir.”

The little captain groaned at the gentle treatment of his subordinates. That's how Leonie's childhood adventure group was put together. The first people the adventure team visited were Connie and Mia, the exclusive maids who took care of Leonie since childhood.

    “Did the eldest lady ever?”

    “Oh, can I say this?”

Connie and Mia showed signs of trouble.

    “Then what about this story?”

    “That would be fine, boy!”

But there were no signs of saying anything.

    “The big girl.”

Connie was the first to speak.

“Since childhood, he has been interested in the economy and money.”

“You don’t like to spend money in vain.”

    “Why spend money?”

    Beleani tilted her head.

    “Didn’t your dad buy you?”

It was a difficult story for Beleani, who had never bought anything with her own hands.

    'You must receive economic education.'

Scandia stroked Beleani's head. Beleani, who was suddenly praised, raised her head and then smiled broadly.

    “Um, rather than that… .”

    Mia carefully selected her words.

“The older lady just loved money.”

    “Right, that’s it.”

    Connie strongly agreed.

    “It happened once.”

    * * *

One late winter when Leonie turned nine years old.

Her hair was tied in two with a red ribbon, and she wore her favorite indoor cloak.

“The forbidden red line in front of me!”

A baby beast was running around the hallway.

    "I can't stop me, don't stop me!"

I went back to my room singing a strange song.

“… What are you two doing?”

Leonie was surprised. It was because my room, which had been fine until morning, was littered with dozens of clothes and shoes.

    “Are you here, lady?”

    “Did you enjoy the class?”

Connie and Mia, who were busily moving inside, stopped what they were doing and welcomed Leonie.

“Why is the room so messy?”

“Ah, I’m cleaning out the lady’s wardrobe right now.”

“Because the spring clothes you wore last year don’t fit anymore.”

Mia, who was holding the clothes in her arms, picked one of them and put it on Leonie's body. The bright yellow dress was too small at first glance.

    “You’ve grown up so much.”

Leonie smiled at Connie's words. I've always been interested in being younger than my age, but now I can't close the gap, so it's more than enough to overtake me. Leonie was growing up.

“Someone will come from the dressing room in a few days.”

Leonie's gaze, who had nodded her head without thinking, naturally turned to the clothes.

    “Then what do they do?”

I asked Leonie how he handled the clothes he couldn't wear.

“Are you going to throw it all away?”

    “I usually throw it away.”

    Connie replied.

Noble clothes were too expensive for users to use as rags or dishcloths. However, he did not pass it on to other nobles. Except in very exceptional cases, it's because it doesn't look good to receive clothes worn by others.

    “What are the exceptions?”

    “Um, you have a younger sister… .”

“Or do you inherit the clothes of your ancestors?”

    Mia intervened.

“Especially ladies’ dresses are really expensive and luxurious.”

Among them, the ones with really high value are said to be worn to weddings or special banquets from generation to generation.

    "Oh oh."

    Leonie learned another new fact.

'It has nothing to do with me.'

Because I didn't have a younger sister to pass on to me.

Still, the latter was a possibility. Not long ago, I had heard directly from Pellio that my great-grandmother had a knack for dresses. The problem is that I can't even wear it with my current body.

In other words, all of Leonie's clothes were to be disposed of.

    “Can’t you donate?”

Leonie felt very sorry for throwing away this pristine garment. Even though he now had a bit of aristocratic economic conception, he sometimes had a civic sensibility. Today was just that.

'It's a pity to just throw it away... .'

Regrets fell from Leonie's eyes as she looked at her clothes.

    wait for that

    “…….”

    Leonie groaned grimly.

    * * *

The old man did not know how to handle this situation.

    “… Yes!"

With my two hands, I pushed the jewels brought by the daughter of the Duke of Borreotti toward me, who was half-excited.

    “Please rate it!”

The glasses that were hanging over the bridge of the old man's nose slid.

Born here in the estate of Boreotti, it has been 40 years since he inherited the family business and ran a jeweler. He had personally met with the predecessor Borreottido and the previous Duke of Borreotti.

Of course, he had also met the current Duke of Borreotti. The young duke had ordered a number of accessories for his daughter. And the accessories I ordered at that time were right in front of me.

“So, do you want me to sell these?”

What did your father prepare for you?

The truth was hidden in the old man's question, but unfortunately the baby beast did not notice it.

“This is very expensive, so please hit it!”

    “…….”

    “Do you need a warranty?”

"no. There is no need for that.”

He airlifted these gems and sold them himself, but what about the warranty? Then several possibilities popped into the old man's mind.

    “Are you running errands?”

    "Yes!"

no you Even Leonie's innocent smile was useless in front of the old man. The old man pretended to be emotional and wrote something down.

“If all these are genuine… .”

The old man said it would be like this.

    “Chief!”

The baby beast smiled broadly enough to tear the corners of its mouth.

“Get wealth on your in-breath and health on your out-breath!”

    "haha… .”

The old man was somewhat surprised by the rhetoric he had heard for the first time in his life.

“But how will I pay for it?”

    “By Bearer Check!”

    "All right."

Then, with the request to wait a moment, the old man handed the employee the paper he had been using a while ago and sent it out. And after a while, Leonie's jaw dropped.

    “Finally, our Boreotier.”

A large shadow gradually fell over the child's face.

“Fault father, no, there is a fence child.”

    “Oh, Dad… !”

    “What is this?”

Pellio, who came to the jeweler as soon as he received the delivery from the old man, went home with his daughter, who would be very painful if he saw it in his eyes.

    “… No, wait!”

For some reason, as the atmosphere went as if he was going to be scolded, Leonie hurriedly started defending himself.

“It was my clothes after all!”

So he insisted that it doesn't matter how you dispose of it. Pellio had an absurd expression on his face.

“All the jewels in the mansion were purchased in the name of Boreotti.”

In other words, the jurisdiction of disposition rested entirely with the current Duke Pellio.

“Then what about the jewels you gave me as gifts?”

    “It’s all yours.”

    “Whew… .”

    Leonie was relieved.

“Isn’t this the time for you to feel safe?”

    Pellio snorted.

“Leo, you committed theft for trying to dispose of jewelry without my permission.”

“No, that’s even a piece of junk!”

“Because he was trying to steal my jewelry and sell it.”

    “Mr. Lee, it’s just negligence!”

    The baby beast squealed.

“A cute mistake from the ignorance of a bright child! This is nothing more, nothing less!”

Leonie finished the story by waving her arms.

“I laugh when you say that.”

Pellio muttered with a face that had no smile at all. In the beginning, he had no intention of finishing it yet. This clever daughter is already trying to raise her own personal finances. Honestly, it was weird.

    'It's really my daughter.'

He was only nine years old now, and he was the best in the world to be smart. But Pellio, as the head of the family, had to punish him for this. It was time to put fatherhood aside for a while.

“Angels and hunters who are astonished at you.”

    "Ouch!"

As soon as he mentions the children's book, Leonie sparked a game.

“Read the book, and write your sentiments from the point of view of sympathy for the hunter.”

The number of letters was equal to the appraised value of the jewel you were trying to sell.

    “You better hit it!”

    Leonie stretched out her arm.

    “Even with fractures!”

    “Boy, don’t be brave.”

“No, I am a financial criminal! I haven't committed any sex crimes! This is too harsh a punishment!”

“This includes the muscle harassment you usually engage in.”

    “Don’t retroactively commit crimes!”

    * * *

“… After that, she shed tears of blood and wrote a review.”

“In the end, they insisted on the physical castration of the sex offenders and the need to amputate their hands.”

It is said that this incident led to Leonie's awakening to the idea of a 'borrowed-name account'.

    “You were really cute.”

Scandia let out a long sigh. It was heartbreakingly sad for Scandia to be unable to watch such a cute and lovely moment from her side.

    “…….”

Beleani looked at his brother-in-law with strange eyes.

“Aren’t you saying that your sister committed a crime?”

Beleani is young. Hana was smart enough to understand what Connie and Mia meant. Yo, it meant that Leonie had been doing bad things with money since she was a child.

“It's not a crime. He tried to play a prank and failed.”

    “Is that so?”

Beleani tilted her head. Connie and Mia responded with bright smiles.

Having obtained one of Leonie's childhood, the adventure group set off on an adventure to another place.

“Your sister was a lot of trouble.”

    “Children grow up like that.”

"Ugh, I don't know when I'm going to do that."

The baby beast clicked its tongue briefly and made an old-fashioned sound.

“Isn’t Leah also scolded yesterday while playing with the decorative shield like a sled?”

    “…….”

“Are you exercising your right to remain silent?”

    “Right to remain silent?”

    “I mean I won’t tell you.”

The second place the two of them visited was the break room. Loupe, who was resting there alone, opened her eyes curiously.

“What are the two of you doing here? … .”

Loupe, who had been lying halfway on the sofa, slumped up.

    “Uncle Loupe!”

    Beleani gave the order.

“Tell me about your sister’s old days!”

    "Yes?"

“I’m on an adventure with Leah-sama right now.”

Scandia explained it in a little more detail. It was then that Loupe made an understandable expression.

    “When you are young… .”

Loupe's face, which had been smiling and recalling the memories, gradually hardened. Then he trembled finely, as if terrified.

“Are you exercising your right to remain silent?”

The clever baby beast immediately put to use what she had learned.

“You have no right to remain silent! I'm curious about your sister's childhood!"

“By the way, did the little girl play with the shield yesterday?”

“This time I will exercise my right to remain silent.”

As Beleani pretended to keep her mouth shut, Scandia and Loupe burst into laughter.

    “Actually, it is.”

Loupe, who barely stopped laughing, said.

“The older lady played the same prank.”

That too when I was the same age as Beleani now.

    * * *

    “Leo said he was flying.”

    "Yes?"

Loupe shook her head with her eyes wide open.

    “I had a parent-teacher conference with Ardea a while ago… .”

It has been three months since the boss adopted the child.

In this short, if not all, short period of time, Loupe watched the process of Pellio becoming a daughter fool. I still didn't understand how he could show such blind love, but still, I was sometimes moved by Pellio's sincerity.

'Gee, you put the pen down.'

And when Pellio let go of the pen from his hand, it meant that his bragging rights would last quite some time.

“It is said that his intellectual level is already comparable to that of an adult. Their memory and learning speed are also quite high.”

    “Oh, that’s amazing.”

Loupe, who thought it was going to be another start, truly admired it. Ardea, who moved in as the child's tutor, was a famous professor from the academy. If it was to be recognized by that geek, it was certainly a great thing.

“It’s clear that you’re not unusual.”

Loupe readily agreed. Leonie's ability to use the language and her usual behavior was clearly different from those of her peers.

“My nephew is a year older than the girl, and it’s definitely a comparison.”

“The grandson of the Marquis of Pardus?”

Pellio remembered the boy he had seen at a tea party with children. The boy with chubby cheeks had such a simple impression that the name Pardus was disrespectful.

“Lupe, you seem a bit like you.”

    “Oh, really?”

Loupe, the nephew's fool, smiled sheepishly.

    “He looked a little sassy.”

You looked like that when you were young, said Pellio.

    “… Wasn't I a little handsome?"

Loupe fiddled with my sharp jawline. Pellio frowned as if he had seen something ugly and heard something terrible.

“I don’t know where that confidence comes from.”

“Because I’m next to the Duke, I’ve become a little down-to-earth, so whenever I go out like this, I’m popular!”

    “So it was tea?”

“It’s not the car, it’s that I broke up because I was too busy!”

Loupe, who was embarrassed, immediately countered. Pellio didn't even pretend to listen.

“And I told you that the young lady was handsome enough to make the Duke’s No. 1 candidate for the New West.”

    “It’s called pride.”

Somehow these days, Leonie's eyes looking at me and Loupe have become more serious.

“… Maybe he was starving for knowledge.”

Ardea, who was famous for being a geek, was terrified of praise. He wasn't even in the mood to make a saliva in his mouth in front of Duke Borreotti. However, Ardea praised Leonie generously in parent counseling.

In particular, the thing that Ardea most valued was Leonie's ability to learn. He said that he had a great ability to not simply memorize science or knowledge, but to make it his own and absorb it.

“How hard it must have been for such a clever kid.”

    Pellio frowned.

My heart still breaks when I think of the child who must have suffered in the orphanage. If he hadn't met Leonie there, the lovely and smart child might have died without fully displaying his abilities.

Even if he escaped on his own.

    “…….”

A terrifying imagination made Pellio's heart uneasy again. I felt like I had to have a serious conversation with the teachers in the dungeon today.

    “… exactly."

After reading the boss's thoughts, Loupe remembered her first meeting with Leonie.

“It is not easy for a seven-year-old to find the adult books of corruption.”

“He’s smart, but he’s also very good at acting.”

“The Duke has really become a father.”

Loupe now wants Pellio to stop boasting about his children. Fortunately, Pellio also thought that this was enough, so he got up.

    “Are you going underground?”

    "okay."

“What clothes would you like to change into?”

Felio thought for a moment, then shook his head. Tug, Loupe sympathized with the teachers in the basement. The fact that Pellio didn't find a change of clothes when he went to interrogation meant that he was using the fangs of a beast instead of a tool.

    'I can't help but die.'

Just as Loupe, who was following, stuck out his tongue, Pellio, who was ahead, stopped walking. Loupe, who almost had her face nailed to her wide back, stepped back in a panic.

But on the way they were going, they heard a familiar voice in front of them.

    * * *

After finishing tutoring, Leonie wandered down the hallway to contemplate.

'Ardea's grandfather is a bit strange.'

I left my wife and children behind because I was studying, and I don't know what qualifications I have with regrets. No matter how much I thought about it, there was nothing to learn other than learning, as if I had diluted diluted water again.

Even today, Leonie studied alone. Sometimes, if he was immersed in his own research, he would often let him study on his own.

'The salary is not worth it, it's a waste.'

The baby beast could not understand why his father had such a person reside in the mansion. If he were Pellio, he would have been kicked out immediately.

    'by the way… .'

Leonie, who was walking down the hallway like that, suddenly stopped.

    “… What are you doing?”

Baby beasts faced a huge problem. I was so sad. Not long ago, the Count Line's family had been staying, so the inside of the quiet mansion felt unusually hostile. Normally, I would have left to read my favorite book or go spying on the muscles of the Knights Templar, but today it's not going to happen.

Wait a minute to think like that.

    “…….”

Leonie looked around the empty hallway today.

    “… Ah."

    iced coffee.

The awkward voice filled the empty hallway.

    “… Hula hula hula.”

Then he twitched his buttocks with a strange song.

    Hula, hula, hula.

    “Dancing hula, tambourine!”

After a powerful shout, the hallway was enveloped in silence again. Leonie, feeling embarrassed for nothing, quickly looked down the hallway.

    “… No one?”

    There was no reply back.

    “Really not?”

    Carefully checked once more.

Then the baby beast confirmed that I was the only one here.

    “… Hehehehe!”

He suddenly started running down the hallway. Then, suddenly, I got down on my knees and rubbed my stockings in the shiny hallway to get on the slippery slope.

    “Pu ha ha ha!”

    Leonie unleashed a maddened laugh.

“I wanted to do something like this!”

After running like that, he repeated the game of sliding on his knees several times, and this time he pulled out the shield attached to the decorative armor, which he did not know why he was here.

“I’ll borrow it for a moment.”

In the meantime, he was forced to ask for permission.

“Everyone shut up! The wild beast is out!”

The baby wild beast, who was running around, jumped and put the shield under my feet. A shining shield ran coolly down the hallway.

    “Nothing can hold me back!”

I am the descendant of the wind! As the shield stopped, he fell over, but Leonie laughed and rode the shield sleigh again.

    and.

    “…….”

    “…….”

Pelio and Loupe were hiding in the corner of the hallway, watching all this.

    '… why.'

Loupe quietly covered her face with both hands. Why am I so ashamed and ashamed of Idaji? The loupe felt like my fingers and toes were curling inward. Even the embarrassment of being framed began to burn his ears red.

    “I am Pellio’s daughter!”

    I am terribly rich now!

My dad is the strongest in the world!

At the same time, Leonie was even chanting hurray for his father for worldly reasons. Then he sang a strange song with a strange dance move.

“This house where my father lives! This house has become my home!”

    the carriage you ride!

    “The carriage became mine too!”

Although the snobbish lyrics and hideous dance moves were disrespectful, Leonie's singing ability was of a very high level. Loupe could have jumped out of the window if he could get out of here. His mind was already in the process of smashing the windows and imagining running away.

    'Is the Duke okay?'

Come to think of it, Pellio has been quiet since before. Moreover, considering the scene unfolding in the hallway now, the silence was unusual.

    'You must be shocked.'

    Loupe rarely sympathized with Pellio.

But then, suddenly, Pellio looked back. Loupe, who encountered a terrifying face without warning, let out a silent scream.

    "Yes?"

And, noticing the hint, Leonie stopped her sensible dance moves and looked around. The child unhurriedly removed the shield and ran to the place where the presence was felt. But there was no one at the corner of the hallway.

    “…….”

The baby beast, feeling uneasy about it, shuddered at the shame that came later and sprinted in the opposite direction.

    “Oh, my lady.”

Mia, who was just passing by, called Leonie.

“It will be lunch time soon.”

    "already?"

Leonie was startled. I couldn't pay for the night and played like a crazy person, but it seemed it was lunch time.

“The chef said he made simmered chicken in cream sauce!”

    “Wow, really?”

The baby beast smiled broadly. The cream sauce developed by the chef was delicious even with carrots or broccoli. Thinking of the savory flavor of the chicken soaked in such a creamy sauce, Leonie's mouth was already salivating.

    “There’s pepper in there too!”

Leonie pretended to sprinkle pepper. The mere fact that I could eat my favorite food completely dispelled my anxiety that someone might have seen my madness a while ago.

“But where were you going, Mia?”

“I was walking around looking for the girl.”

“I was on an adventure in the mansion!”

Leonie made excuses for not being harassed in the hallway at all because I was stabbed by myself.

“The mansion is so spacious, is there a place you haven’t been to yet?”

“Then I’m the senior when it comes to the mansion?”

Mia boasted that she was penetrating the mansion.

It was only after the two of them headed to the dining room that one of the doors at the corner of the hallway opened.

    “… It was close.”

Loupe wiped her chest and leaned against the wall. He didn't do anything in particular, but he was exhausted as if he had stayed up all night.

    If I had been caught

    'Oh.'

Just thinking about it made me cringe. Leonie, who will be arrogant with anger, and Pellio, who will tease her daughter for a few days. And himself caught in a fight between women. My heart was still pounding as I put my hand on it.

    "loupe."

While Loupe was getting fed up, Pellio, who was still silent, opened his mouth.

    “What do you think?”

    “Oh, lady, are you talking?”

It must have been a shock, but Loupe thought it could be. No matter how much he loved my daughter, it would have been difficult for him to accept such an embarrassment. But, putting aside the shameful thing on the part of the viewer, wouldn't that look like a real child a while ago?

The appearance of Leonie that Loupe had seen earlier was no different from that of a seven-year-old kid. A bright, cheerful, lively child.

    “It’s like a child, isn’t it?”

At that age, everyone was like that, Loupe defended.

    “Not that.”

But that's not what Pellio asked.

“You say you’re proud of something like that.”

    Pellio clicked his tongue briefly.

“Didn’t you hear what Leo said earlier?”

    “Hula?”

Saying that such a thing is also a secretary, Pellio stared at Loupe for a moment with pity. Loupe was embarrassed, but remembered my salary and bowed her head. This amount of humility was enough to endure.

    “… Boy, really.”

    Pellio smiled contentedly.

“Would it have been so nice to know that I was a father?”

No wonder I could even sing while shouting, 'I am Pellio's daughter!'

“Because he seems like a dishonest guy.”

He usually shouted back like that, and it seems he secretly had a crush on his father. How can you not love that tomboy and bad boy?

“You seem to raise children with this taste.”

That's not it. Loupe reflexively countered. First of all, he doesn't know what it tastes like. Although curious, at least through these women, I did not want to know. One thing is for sure, the 'taste of raising children' of these women now is that it is difficult for most people to endure.

Pellio, who was the only person in the world who could handle that difficult taste, was just as cute as my daughter.

“Seeing them playing like a child again, well, it’s pretty cute.”

    "Yes."

    Loupe gave up understanding.

“After all, it seems that childhood doesn’t come from being forced.”

    “My heart… … .”

In the eyes of Loupe, Leonie's appearance a while ago was closer to 'drunkness' than 'childhood'. It was even more surprising that he did it with his own mind.

“By the way, I think I have a talent for art.”

Pelio later murmured that he might have to consult with Count Bosgruni about how to teach Leonie an instrument or a dance beforehand.

    “Shall we make an appointment?”

Loupe asked in a half-given voice.

“When you come to class tomorrow, tell me to stop by my office for a while.”

    "All right."

    “Then let’s go eat.”

    “Aren’t you going underground?”

“Leo wants to eat with me.”

With those words, Pellio went to the dining room alone.

    '… I didn't even say that.'

Loupe went to work, cursing Pellio, who had become a daughter who became more than a daughter fool.

    * * *

“Your sister was a bigger mess than me!”

After leaving the break room, Beleani felt better. The babbling wild beast made a gait with a gait.

“I wasn’t that fussy even when I was playing with a shield.”

Scandia's face was also full of laughter.

'How can a person be so cute?'

Scandia tried very hard to cover the corners of her lips that were about to rise each time Loupe told her a story. He fully understood Pellio's heart. Without love, I would have never been able to learn it.

'When my daughter is born later, I must resemble Leo... .'

Dreaming of simple hopes, Scandia and Beleani headed to their next destination. The third person I met was the butler, Kara.

    “Grandma Kara!”

    “Hey, little girl is here.”

Kara welcomed Beleani who came to me. Pellio's nanny and current butler, he was now preparing to retire. Not immediately, but soon he was going to pass the position to his son.

    “The old lady’s childhood?”

In the same way, Kara, who was asked the same question, pondered for a moment.

“Tell me what your sister bought!”

“Hey, won’t I be in trouble later?”

"it's okay. Leah will protect you!”

Beleani made a promising promise, even with a young tone.

Impressed by her dignified appearance, Kara smiled brightly.

“Then trust the little girl… .”

    The story has begun.

    * * *

A white blanket fluttered in the wind beneath the high sky.

The eastern section of the Boreotti mansion, where all the laundry was gathered, was as busy as the inside of the mansion. But today, the busy maids stopped what they were doing and had to step away for a while.

    “Pururu.”

Pellio admired the sky reflected over the flapping duvet. His gaze, wet with emotion, now turned to the blanket. Even at a glance, the luxurious duvet was the kind that the owner's family or guests could use.

A blanket that is thick but as light as a feather, made of a material that retains warmth for a long time, and guarantees the best sleep.

    "Leo."

The blanket, now wet, was lying on the clothesline.

“It’s nothing to be ashamed of.”

A friendly voice filled with love continued.

    “All children make mistakes.”

There were no lies at all in Pellio's words. Even he thought he was truly relieved and fortunate.

“By the way, Boreotti is Borreotti in this kind of place.”

Pellio's face was full of satisfaction as he spoke.

    “Such a magnificent map… .”

    “… Oh, little!”

    Take it out!

Leonie, whose face turned red, screamed.

“I know I'm cheap! I pee on the blanket!”

The baby wild beast admitted his mistake in a voice that was bitter in anger. Rather than admitting the truth, it was closer to a declaration of defeat through humiliation and disgrace.

“Hey, you know how to admit your faults like this… .”

Dad is impressed. Pellio replied in a dry voice.

    “Oh, I’m pissed… !”

However, his father's beast's innocence and weakness actually touched the heart of the baby beast.

“Sup, you need to speak well.”

“What am I supposed to say in this situation!”

Leonie countered that he was sane. Now the child was in a state of great psychological shock.

First of all, Leonie is not ordinary. The child did not worry that he would be scolded by his father or an adult for making some mistakes in the bedding. If he did, it would be considered child abuse and he would fight back by rubbing a blanket on his face.

But the mental age is so high.

    '… Let's die.'

It was difficult to rationally accept the mistakes he had made.

    'No.'

Then I managed to catch the reason and try to judge the situation.

'Where did you not get shit?'

However, the psychological impact was so great that he was unable to properly think.

    '… great!'

Let's run wild beast's fangs! After Leonie burned everything in this room, I was thinking about going to bed as a side effect.

    'Leo, it's morning.'

That day, for some reason, Pelio came to wake Leonie.

    'Come on, get up... .'

    ‘…….’

    ‘…….’

He witnessed firsthand the grand map on his daughter's blanket. At that moment, Leonie tried to jump out of the window on his own to escape the crowd of embarrassment. Of course, he failed because he was captured by Pellio.

    “I’m done… !”

The baby beast finally sat down. Leonie, who was really sitting on the ground, slammed the ground with her cute fist and wept.

“How can I live with shame! Are you tired of peeing at this age?”

“You can get bored at that age.”

Pellio let out a gasp. Anyway, the little things made a lot of noise.

“Are you just tired of me? Totally poured the waterfall!”

“Do you want to say that with your mouth… … .”

"Gosh! How can I live with my face up now... !”

“If anyone hears it, they’ll think it’s a treason.”

At that moment, the wind blew stronger. The blanket hanging on the clothesline fluttered as strongly as Leonie's pitiful heart. Water dripped under the blanket.

    Such a peaceful moment.

    "Dad."

Leonie, who had been pretending to weep for a long time, raised her head. There were, of course, no tears marks on his red-stained face.

    "Why."

    "I'm hungry… .”

“I don’t even eat breakfast and I’m making a fuss, of course I’m hungry.”

Pellio held her daughter in her arms. He was no longer the startled dad who was so surprised.

“Did you start all the riots?”

    “Ugh.”

    Leonie's answer was truly blatant.

“I want to smoke more, but I can’t because I’m hungry.”

    “I’ll be delighted.”

“Girl can be hungry too. First of all, you have to eat and think about how to be pissed off.”

Pellio glanced at Leonie with his eyes wide open. Still, I was glad to know that what I was doing was not normal, I thought.

    "Leo."

    "Yes?"

“What did you drink before going to bed?”

    “I secretly spilled a bottle of apple juice… .”

    “Pretty words.”

“… I stole it and drank it.”

    Leonie was lost.

    “So it’s that cheap.”

    Pellio took a deep breath.

    * * *

    "Hey… .”

On the way out and listening to the story.

    “Sister, I mean.”

After Beleani looked around and confirmed that they were alone, she whispered to Scandia.

“I think it’s kind of weird.”

Beleani mustered up the courage to tell my brother-in-law what he couldn't say in front of Chama Kara.

“Have I ever drawn a map on a blanket?”

    “Were you there?”

"Yes. But is it a secret?”

Scandia wondered if sisters could be so alike.

“But I wasn’t like my sister.”

The baby beast claimed to be normal.

    “Then what did you do?”

“Sister, I was going to exchange it for a blanket.”

Then, she was caught by the nanny and said that she failed.

“It was the perfect plan… .”

It was really sad, Beleani clicked her tongue. At this point, Scandia wondered about Pellio's childhood. He also briefly imagined whether he had a troubled day like his daughters, but it was not a scene that came to mind easily.

    “Mr. Leah.”

    Scandia corrected Beleani's opinion once.

"Leo isn't weird, he's smart and witty."

So he said he was able to come up with such an interesting idea.

    “The same goes for Leah.”

"me too? Am I smart too?”

    "Sure."

Scandia said sincerely, not knowing how fresh it was to think of a plan to change the bedding.

“How much Leo is proud of Leah to me.”

    "really? What is your sister?”

    Beleani's eyes twinkled.

“He said that he is very good at dictation and that he is diligent in physical training.”

At the successive compliments, the corners of Beleani's lips rose to the point that they pricked the clown.

“Then will you continue your adventure?”

    “Ummm… .”

    The captain was worried.

    “Actually, I’m a little tired.”

Scandia almost burst out laughing at her candid expression.

“But Boreotti doesn’t give up easily!”

    The adventure went on.

“But why did your brother-in-law become Gladigo?”

“If I marry Leo, won’t I become Boreotti? So I joined Gladigo to help.”

“Were you originally a Western Knight?”

Beleani asked, fiddling with Scandia's silver hair. It was a dull color as if it had been released from gray, but it was a pretty silver color when viewed up close.

“It was in Lebo, but it was also the Imperial Knights Templar.”

    Scandia said.

“My sister said the Imperial Knights are garbage.”

“It used to be, but not now.”

The present Imperial Knights have been greatly reorganized thanks to the great emperor.

The last place they headed was the training ground where the Knights of Gladigo resided. Meles, who had been watching the training of the knights, welcomed the two of them back.

    “We are on an adventure!”

“I’m listening to Leo’s childhood story.”

    “Your eldest childhood?”

Ummm, Meles rolled his eyes. The action meant only one thing.

    “What do you say?”

In fact, it wasn't just Meles, everyone who had asked me had this reaction. As if waiting for this moment. Even the worries weren't that short. There was also a slight sense of impatience not to miss the opportunity of revenge that finally came.

However, Meles showed a slight difference here.

“If I say the wrong thing, the girl becomes a criminal… .”

The story the two adventurers had heard was not even the beginning. Indeed, the beginning of Leonie's true heroic story began right here, in the Knights Templar. It was here at the training ground where he shouted his convictions for the first time and where the monstrous muscle waves flowed to the song of a child.

    “……!”

Beleani opened her mouth wide at Meles' shocking self-talk.

“Sister, aren’t you going to be arrested?”

    “It cannot be.”

Scandia reassured me. In the first place, there was no one who could capture Leonie.

“But I knew this day would come… .”

Beleani, who had struggled to hold back her bitterness, clasped Scandia's hand and asked.

“Even if my sister gets caught, me and my brother-in-law must be on my side.”

    “Of course.”

“As I think about it, I don’t think there is anyone in this world who can marry a brother-in-law or a sister.”

Get it! Meles hurriedly bit her lip. Oh my gosh, it seems that even the little girl has finally figured it out.

    “Lea… .”

Scandia's eyes were wet with emotion. He covered my little hand again and wrapped it around me.

    “You are acknowledging me.”

“My brother-in-law will not be able to get out of Boreotti anymore… .”

    "thank you. It’s really impressive.”

"Huh? Did you understand what I was saying?”

Just as Beleani was about to have her doubts, Meles hurriedly started talking.

    * * *

For a while, the Boreotti mansion was in a gloomy state. Young Leonie suffered a heartbreaking betrayal, and Pellio was enraged at this. What's more, this caused Leonie to run out of fangs again, and all the workers in the mansion had to fall ill.

It was the gloomy Boreoti that Meles had experienced for the first time. Even when Regina disappeared, it didn't seem like this was the case. At least back then, all the truth about Regina was hidden.

Anyway, Boreotti darkened, but this atmosphere quickly disappeared. Pellio was a great father. He took special measures for his weak daughter. The Gladigo Knights wore a training suit that made their muscles stand out, and Leoni was also trained in it.

The effect was really good. I liked it so much that was the problem.

    “Go over the enemy’s corpses!”

    “Don’t sing strange songs.”

Leonie, warming up, was more energetic than ever. So, Pelio was in a more exhausted state than usual to calm Leonie.

    “Lord.”

After a long training session, Provo raised his hand and asked permission to ask a question.

    "What."

Pellio gave permission with a short nod. He was discussing the practicality of a joljjool training suit with Mono.

    “The lady… .”

    “Go on today.”

He told me to take care of anything if muscle harassment only kept the proper line, and he said he would pay for today's hard work generously. Of course, this was the story that Pellio explained to the knights in advance, asking for their understanding. All the people gathered here also agreed to this.

But as Provo would object, Gouni, Pellio was slightly offended.

    “No, not that… .”

Provo looked after him and eventually took Pellio with him.

    “Right abs, cheer up!”

    “…….”

“Should the transverse abdominis muscles in the rectus abdominis grow well? Especially your central muscles that support your spine are the placer in the mud… !”

    “Hey, lady… .”

Manus finally stopped doing the sit-ups. His breathing was rough.

“What spell are you casting on my stomach?”

"I'm cheering for Manus oppa's muscles to grow well."

As it was said, Leonie's gaze was fixed on Manus' contracting rectus abdominis muscle. You don't know how lively those round black eyes are.

    “… Cheering?”

Manus thought it was some kind of insidious curse. Even before Leonie, who boasts the best physique in Gladigo, was praising his muscles before his arrival, he was terrified by the philanthropy of the baby beast in front of him.

    “What does this brother know?”

yap! Leonie pretended to scold Manus.

“When we grow plants, what do we say?”

    “What should I do?”

    "Fool! They give you love.”

That's exactly what he's doing, Leonie explained proudly.

“It is said that if you say pretty things to plants, they will grow.”

    “…….”

“So, talk to your muscles and they will grow bigger.”

The child is beautiful, the child is beautiful! Leonie's small hand stroked the air of Manus' rectus abdominis and praised it. The moment when Manus was at a loss for words for a shocking reason.

    “… Yes?"

Leonie suddenly looked down at my boat.

    “Egumonina.”

Then, trembling with fuss, he stroked my tadpole's stomach. Ever since I came to Borreotti, my belly fat has been increasing day by day as a symbol of a healthy child.

    “Aren’t you jealous?”

A baby beast comforted my belly.

“If I grow a little more stamina than now, then I will make you beautiful.”

So, I asked him to wait a little bit and put a lip stamp on my palm and delivered it to my belly.

    “Uh-huh, commuters.”

    Leonie said sarcastically.

“Don’t be shy, I’ll make you happy one after another.”

The child whispered that he loved me, calling out the names of the muscles in my body one by one. How attentive and kind he is.

    “…….”

And how complicated is Pellio looking at such a daughter.

Of course, the knights around him had a similar expression.

    “… Is it true?”

Meanwhile, Manus was dazzled by Leonie's appearance and tried to trace his muscles. Pavo, who was standing next to him, patted him with his foot to dry him.

    “Oh, Dad!”

Noticing Leoni's gaze at me, he waved his arms.

“Daddy’s new training uniform, I think it’s great!”

    “Well… .”

Pelio didn't know anything else, but he made up his mind to this one thing. This sweatpants training suit was permanently banned.

“The muscles are really, haha… .”

The child finally stopped until the end. He gently closed his eyes to suppress the rising emotions. How moved he was, his tightly clenched fists trembled.

    “It’s proof that you’re alive.”

Living twice would be a mess. Pellio thought about what to do with that muscle metamorphosis. It is said that the more people grow up, the more docile they become. But I wondered if that hypothesis would work for my daughter as well.

    “I’m so emotional right now.”

So I wanted to express this feeling through a song.

    “… What?"

Leonie, who had already loosened his neck, leaving his bewildered father alone, sang in a cute voice.

    “I am alive!”

In the end, only muscle remained.

“Every breath, every time I open my eyes.”

    I have muscles!

    “Active oxygen spreads too!”

An exquisite combination of a heartbreaking song and shocking lyrics. Leonie had a knack for art. He was very good at drawing and singing as well.

    “…….”

    “…….”

So Pelio and the Gladigo Knights who were present were astonished.

    “The song is over!”

The baby beast raised its arms. As soon as the song ended, an empty silence filled the training ground.

“What, everyone was moved by my song?”

Leonie scratched near the nostrils, shy.

    “… What."

Pellio let out a long sigh that made the ground go out.

“First of all, it sounds good.”

It was a feeling of escapism from reality.

    * * *

This is how Beleani and Scandia's adventure ended. They uncovered various childhood stories of Leonie. But they conveyed different meanings to each.

    “Brother, brother-in-law… .”

Beleani held Scandia's hand the whole time, pleading.

“You must marry your sister, okay?”

“I want to do it right now.”

    “No, really do it!”

Not knowing how to express my impatience, Beleani was trembling with anxiety.

“Your sister is very strange! But without my brother-in-law, it will be a disaster!”

    “It cannot be.”

Scandia had a relaxed, unshakable face.

“Without Leo, I would die of separation anxiety.”

    “I don’t mean that!”

    The baby beast cried out.

“Your sister is a more dangerous pervert than Achi thinks!”

Excited so much, Beleani used the name she used to call Scandia as a child without realizing it.

    “Is that common sense?”

There was no one in the North who did not know that fact. It was too new for Scandia to be surprised by such a thing.

“Isn’t it really cute and lovely?”

If Scandia had young Leonie in front of her, she would have been so happy that she could not even pay for the night and would have hugged her with all her might.

    “This bastard doesn’t make sense.”

Beleani, frustrated, pounded my chest with her fists.

    “You still don’t know?”

    “What?”

    “My sister… .”

A feeling of sadness remained on Beleani's face as he whispered.

“… I'm going to eat you."

Scandia rolled her eyes slowly and avoided it.

    'I've already been eaten.'

Of course, my sister-in-law probably didn't mean it that way, but strictly speaking, Scandia has been eaten for a long time.

    'We ate each other.'

Without knowing the heart of such a brother-in-law.

    “But I.”

Beleani showed an apologetic look and took Scandia's hand.

    “Your sister is more important.”

So brother-in-law, older sister, you have to stay by my side.

“Even for the sake of Boreotti’s peace, the brother-in-law must always be by the sister’s side. Understand?"

The young baby decided to sacrifice her brother-in-law with tears in her eyes for the peace of the family.

    "Yes, I understand."

“When the word of divorce comes out, I will arrest my brother-in-law and give it to my sister.”

There was one thing Beleani realized during this adventure.

Leonie was a huge being. Only the brother-in-law could be next to such an older sister.

    “Hey, get married soon.”

Scandia hugged my sister-in-law who gave me a hug.

    * * *

Leonie, who came to check on her sleeping brother, had a puzzled expression on her face.

    “Why is he so ill?”

After the intense adventure, Beleani skipped lunch and fell into a nap. Since I had been walking around this spacious mansion since morning, it was only natural that I was exhausted. But maybe I'm more tired than I thought.

    “Okay, uh… !”

Beleani, who fell asleep while hugging the doll, moaned incessantly.

    “Where are you sick?”

Leonie was worried and hurried to look at Beleani, but there were no abnormal symptoms such as a boiling fever.

    “It’s because I’m tired.”

Scandia said, fixing the futon. The two quietly closed the door and came out, asking what they had been doing while they were away.

“What did you two do while I was away?”

    “I ventured into the mansion.”

“What, it was just the two of us having fun, except for me.”

Leonie pouted his lips, saying he was disappointed. The childlike behavior was so cute, Scandia lowered her head and kissed her lips. It was now possible to kiss without permission.

“I did it often when I was young.”

Suddenly, Leonie put her arm around his neck. Naturally, the body came close to Scandia's chest. Scandia wrapped her arms around Leonie's waist as if leaning a little more comfortably.

    "therefore."

Leonie said, and kissed the corner of his chin.

    “What did you really do?”

There was no way the two of us could do the ordinary thing of just walking around a real mansion.

    “Leah can’t play quietly.”

    “You know your brother well.”

“He’s my younger brother no matter what anyone says.”

Although my parents gave birth to me, the younger brother who resembled me more was Leonie's pride. In the end, Scandia went out of business.

“Lea-sama was curious about Leo’s childhood, so I went around listening to stories from people.”

“It must have been a good story.”

Leonie was fed up. I can only guess what I'd heard.

    “Scan.”

So instead of asking, I called my name. with a subtle lust.

“Would you like to go to my room?”

Scared to ask, Scandia grabbed Leonie with one arm and embraced it. Leonie, who suddenly became a sack of a sack, rolled her eyes and then smiled.

“Aren’t you going to take it anymore?”

“While you were at the academy, my patience ran out.”

“No, you were also a minor for two of those years, right?”

As soon as the door closed, the two entered the room and swallowed each other's lips violently. However, this violent act gradually became slower and more intense. Unlike the first half of Leonie's promotion, the second half was a comeback victory for Scandia in name and reality.

Scandia did not miss the moment Leonie took a moment to catch her breath. A red tongue mercilessly pressed between the slightly parted lips.

He was usually praised for his gentle demeanor, but the teasing inside him was never soft or kind. After tickling the flesh of the inside of the lips, he intertwined his tongue and secretly blocked his breathing. It was a bad thing to make Leonie lean completely on me.

Hana Leoni was also unusual, so she was bound to endure it. Even though the strength in his legs was suddenly released and he was on the verge of collapsing. Then, in the end, Scandia, who has a weak heart, drops her lips slightly.

Of course, after that, he immediately put his tongue in and continued the persistent prank he had not done before.

He stubbornly rubbed the roof of his mouth with the tip of his tongue, stimulating even the smallest wrinkles, and in the end he bit his long, small tongue like candy and sucked it.

Leonie was weak against this tenacious and slow expression of affection. If he pushed on like that, eventually Leonie's black eyes were wet with moisture.

    'Be lovely.'

Boreotti's black beast that everyone else fears, but when she showed her 'woman' in front of me like this, I was thrilled. And it was at the moment when Scandia was about to reveal her greed by laying Leonie on the bed.

    “… Oh, really!”

Leonie pushed Scandia and raised her upper body.

    “Eat it, very.”

Their grumbled lips glistened with each other's saliva.

“I did it with that in mind… .”

As if those words were true, Scandia revealed her greed to Leonie without any filtration. And Leonie, noticing this, took a deep breath. But in the end, it stopped Scandia.

“Aren’t you saying you can’t come all the way here?”

Scandia's face was full of resentment as she asked. The atmosphere has risen like this, but now I can't even get out of the room if I can't get rid of the crazy heat in my lower body.

“Boreotti, if it’s just started, shouldn’t even the tip of her fangs be pulled out?”

“If I take out my fangs, the spout will die?”

“It means you want to kill me.”

    “Human… .”

Leonie, who could not hear, stopped Scandia to wait for a moment.

“It’s embarrassing for me to end it like this.”

Scandia finally calmed down. But, as if his patience had really run out, Leonie's squeaky lips and gestures became even more tenacious.

    “Are you in pain?”

“Would you mind taking off your clothes while asking that?”

Leonie patted Scandia's ass as she was about to take her pants off.

“Are you going to hit this when it’s the right time?”

    "at the time?"

“I don’t know what to explain.”

There was only one thing that Leonie could say now.

“I wonder if my dad felt like this.”

    * * *

    “Are the kids doing well?”

“All I had to do was keep the house alive.”

    “Ugh, that’s mean anyway.”

Pellio and Varya arrived in the north four days later than the scheduled ten days. The time spent in the South was so happy that the couple spent three more days at the Boreotti Villa in the South, as it was a pity to let this afterglow go away. And the rest of the day I stopped by the capital to buy presents for the children.

    “But what… .”

Pellio twiddled Varya's hair with her fingers. Perhaps it was thanks to a good rest, Pelio continued to smile without being conscious of it.

“Since Leo has grown up, we are able to have such leisurely worries.”

    “I’m such a filial daughter, but… .”

    “The wedding is too early.”

    “Ugh, really!”

Varya pulled my hair tangled in her husband's fingers. Pellio's big fingers tightened slightly.

“All my husbands are wonderful, but people become cute idiots when it comes to problems with their daughters.”

    “That’s also my charm.”

    “Hey, was it a curse?”

Varya, who failed to persuade again this time, took a deep breath and sat down. Then she turned her body to her husband. I meant to start off in earnest.

    "honey."

Not surprisingly, the sound of 'honey' coming out of Varya's mouth was really uncomfortable to hear. Pellio lowered the corners of her lips to exercise her right to remain silent. It wasn't even Varya who would look at me like that.

“Tell me honestly for once, why are you so stubborn for such absurd reasons.”

It's only you and me in this carriage, so I reassured you that, to be honest, I wouldn't tease or ridicule anyone.

“Do you think my reasons are so absurd?”

    Pellio asked.

"I'm pretty sure it won't be logical."

Otherwise, this savage and smart man could not interfere with the marriage of his child for such a childish reason.

“Why would Leo wait for your permission?”

    “…….”

“It’s because I want to receive your sincere congratulations.”

If Leonie had acted according to her nature, they would have had enough to see their grandchildren.

    “What is a grandchild?”

    Felio was disgusted.

“Leah is now eight years old. But will you have a nephew at such a young age?”

“We can just be like brothers to each other.”

“Are your aunts and nephews like brothers? The family will look really good.”

“What did you say again? .”

As her husband's reaction was more intense than expected, Varya, who was a bit sad, pouted her lips.

    "still… .”

So I fired a small counterattack.

“Is the house going to be okay?”

Even if Pellio has been away for a long time, Leoni has grown to the point where he can completely fill the vacancy by himself. In particular, his abilities have been greatly recognized for his graduation assignments, and the world says that there is no problem with Leonie taking over the title of duke at any time.

“Varya, whose side are you on?”

Pellio asked without hiding his displeasure. In fact, rather than saying I was upset, it was more appropriate to say that I was pissed off at my wife, who only favored children.

    "What do we do?"

    Varya made a serious expression.

    “Are you so cute?”

So, the persuasion for my daughter went into failure.

    * * *

During Pelio's absence, the deputy head of state was Leonie. Leonie was busily moving to fill the vacancy of his parents and the absence of Gaju. This honeymoon was possible because Leonie had given up on her free schedule.

In addition to his duties as a duke, he also had to take care of his younger brother.

    "ostrich."

    "Yes."

    “Muscle.”

“Why do you keep calling me?”

Beleaani was annoyed, perhaps because the constant calling was annoying.

    “Crazy, this.”

It was Leonie who really wanted to be annoyed. I looked down and saw Beleani hanging like a monkey with her arms and legs wrapped around her waist.

“When Mom and Dad come back later, tell me everything!”

Again, for some reason, the baby was tying her hair into two ponytails.

“I’m going to say that I cursed my brother for being crazy!”

“When did I say that again?”

    “You insulted me earlier!”

“It is said that beautiful beauty strikes the sky.”

Leonie quickly took out a strawberry milk-flavored candy and put it in his brother's mouth.

“Heh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, something like this… .”

The grumbling Beleani's balls moved quickly.

    “Is it delicious?”

    “Not better than pudding.”

Whatever the case, Beleani continued to mumble the muscles of his face.

“By the way, why are you stuck like this?”

Leonie patted his brother on the back. I don't know why, but Yosai Beleani was particularly reluctant to leave my side.

“Your sister has to really work now. Can't you fall a little bit?"

    “Lea is also working.”

Beleani gave more strength to the limbs that were around Leonie's waist.

    “…….”

Eww, Leonie finally started working as it was. When the paper is turned over with a fluttering sound like that, and the nib of the fountain pen moves and the unique smell of ink spreads.

    “… Sister."

    asked Beleani, slightly tired.

    “When do you finish work?”

    "I do not know."

    “Play with me. Yes?"

“Lea, did you study Chi today?”

Leonie was watching Beleani's studies. He gives out a certain amount of homework every day, but Leonie hasn't seen his younger brother study lately.

    “Life is not about sexuality.”

Every time Beleani spoke, she could smell the strawberry milk.

“Tell me honestly, who taught you that?”

    "Sister!"

    “It’s okay, little brother.”

Unfortunately, a lie has been revealed here.

"Because I said, 'Life is in order of wealth and title'."

As punishment for lying, Beleani was eventually kicked out of the office.

    “Hey, profit!”

A baby beast with heartache pounded the floor with its feet.

    “Lea?”

When I turned around to the sound of me calling, Scandia was approaching me with a surprised face.

    "Brother-in-law!"

Beleani murmured and put her into Scandia's arms.

    “Hey, my sister bullied me.”

    “That… .”

The brother-in-law comforted the crying sister-in-law.

“Hey, when did I tease you?”

And my sister witnessed that scene.

"no! Sister you broke my heart! So my brother-in-law comforted me.”

“You must have said something quite dangerous right now?”

Leonie's eyes narrowed. Scandia, noticing the meaning, shook her head to the point that her neck fell.

    "Yes?"

On the other hand, Beleani tilted her head with an innocent expression.

    “… Whoa.”

Leonie was relieved by the innocence of his younger sister, which was still maintained. But Scandia did not. He stared at Leonie with a gaze messed up by worry and concern, anxiety and obsession.

    “Because you need some rest.”

“Oh my God, are you even going to disturb me?”

    “It’s not a disturbance, it’s a concern.”

Scandia understood Leonie's feelings a lot these days.

“Is this the kind of feeling that you want to be locked away with shackles with your tendon cut off?”

    “Dare you off topic.”

Leonie punished him with a sweet kiss on the lips of his arrogant words.

    “Kuk.”

At the same time, the Beleani caught between them was crushed.

    “I haven’t seen two people working like this… .”

Leonie raised her arms as if she couldn't help it. After receiving the declaration of surrender, Beleani and Scandia's faces brightened.

    “Give me a break.”

“Wow, then play with me! Yes?"

Beleani, who came down from her brother-in-law's arms, fluttered as if clinging to Leonie. Scandia looked at him happily.

    “Um, then… .”

Leonie pondered for a moment, then pressed her lips to her brother's forehead, and then smiled like a bad boy.

“Shall we play with the shield?”

    * * *

    “Are you okay with this?”

Scandia is not embarrassed by anything, but for now, I wanted to rip off those two bad sisters right away.

    “Oh my, ladies!”

    “What if I get hurt?”

And the heart of Scandia was the heart of the users.

    “Mrs. Felica has fallen!”

“Even the butler must not fall down!”

“Someone go and get a nanny!”

Even in the midst of back and forth, the wild beast sisters didn't even say a word. The two of them brought all the blankets from the mansion called quilts and laid them out on the stairs of the hall, and sat down affectionately on the decorative shield.

    “Indoor sledding is fun.”

    “It’s the law!”

Beleani followed to Leonie's dock. Watching this, Scandia's complexion turned pale.

“This may be a big deal.”

"If you ride this once, what's the big deal?"

Leonie shouted to start, leaving behind the painful nagging.

    “Then, let’s go!”

    "no!"

    Beleani glanced around.

“Lea will shout about the departure.”

“Hey, have I spread all the blankets?”

“That’s because Leah is the captain.”

    “Chee.”

Leonie quietly left saying that he would only look at me this time.

    "depart!"

With Beleani's courageous slogan, the shield began to descend quickly on the blanket.

    “Run, Boreotti!”

    “Ahhhhh!”

The moment when the small shield carrying the two sailors ran through the sea of the blanket and landed at the entrance hall.

    “Guys, we’re here.”

    “It’s nothing… .”

My parents, who had just arrived home, opened the front door and appeared. Before Pelio's worries about whether nothing happened were over.

    “…….”

    “…….”

The faces of the parents who had brought a wagon full of presents for their daughters-in-law who would be alone at home were astonished.

    “…….”

    “…….”

The daughters, who seemed to bleed if they put it in their eyes, got up from their shields.

All four families could not easily open their mouths to this absurd, and unexpected, grand and loud welcome.

    “Did you come… .”

Scandia, who had come down in haste, greeted the elderly father-in-law and mother-in-law who were stiff. His gaze, greeting politely, was more anxious than usual.

    “… Leah.”

Among the sisters, Leonie was the first to speak up.

“He wanted to play with the shield, so I said not to.”

While making excuses that he had no choice, he gently pushed the shield towards Beleani with his feet. Beleani stared at Leonie with treacherous eyes.

    “How is my sister… !”

A seven-year-old boy was trembling with anger. Beleani hurriedly told her parents about Leonie's fault, because if it were like this, I would really be the only one being scolded.

    "Hey!"

It also had super strong water. Without even thinking about how big of a wave his words would create from now on.

    “Sister, I’m pregnant!”

Super precipitation was literally super precipitation. With Beleani's revelations, the air in the Boreotti mansion began to freeze as if it had come from an ice age.

    “Everyone, evacuate… !”

The users fled as far away from the hall as possible, taking care of themselves.

    “Good luck with your entry.”

As we made our way through, someone warned us. If the story I heard a while ago spread from the mouth of someone other than the owner's family, I would have to bleed.

So, the hall left with only the Boreotti family.

    “… you, you!”

Varya couldn't hide her embarrassment as she reacted late.

    “Leonie, you are real!”

Varya raised her hand to the child for the first time. He slapped Leonie's forearm with his lips pressed together.

    "Ah! Ouch, Mom!”

“What are you going to do? How can I get pregnant now!”

“Am I pregnant alone? It's half the responsibility, isn't it?"

    “Both are real!”

Varya now also smashed Scandia's forearm. Scandia was beaten silently along with saying that she was sorry over and over again. Of course, the problem wasn't Varya's wrath. No, Varya's anger right now was more like a trick.

If I had to get angry like this first, my husband, who was quietly silent behind me, might be less angry.

    I really didn't know.

'… Why is there no response?'

Varya was a little nervous. They even had such a conversation on the carriage coming up to the north, so the fear that silence evoked was amplified.

    “Hey, Rio.”

Honey, are you sweet? Varya called her husband in the most friendly voice possible. Hana Pelio was still silent.

    “Hey, Dad?”

    “Duke… .”

At this point, Leonie and Scandia also began to worry.

“It turned out that I was trying to be cautious… .”

    Leonie tried a belated excuse.

“I was planning on getting married anyway, and these days, it is said that pregnancy is the best gift for a newly prepared couple.”

“No. If you find out that you are pregnant, tell your father... .”

Beleani was captured by Varya without being able to finish her speech.

    “Duke.”

At that time, Scandia appeared as if protecting Leonie's face.

    “No, Father.”

    “Boooo... !”

Leonie, who was moved, shuddered. Scandia looked back for a moment and held Leonie's hand tightly, as if not to worry. Leonie was now brimming with tears.

    “Sorry for being so late.”

    Scandia apologized.

    “Oh man!”

Beleani, who was putting in an equitable Chuimsae, ended up sealing her lips with Varya's hand.

“Father, it will not be easy for you to forgive me. In this way, the trust my father has shown me... .”

    "Babe… .”

    Leonie sighed.

“As much as I was upset like this, I will do better for my daughter. There are still many shortcomings to become a member of the Boreotti family, but I will do my best nonetheless.”

Beads of sweat were forming on Scandia's face, who made a sincere determination. However, despite such sincere reflection, Pellio still did not respond.

    “… right?"

Beleani was the first to notice the abnormality. Because he was the smallest among them, the baby beast recognized something in Pellio's eyes the fastest.

    “Dad, are you crying?”

At those words, the family looked at Pellio with surprised faces.

    “Oh my God, honey!”

    “Dad, are you really crying?”

    "father… !”

Leaving the bewildered family alone, Pellio hurriedly turned away.

    “… for a bit."

The suppressed voice came out with difficulty.

“Wait a minute, don’t go out.”

“I just got home, where are you going?”

    Varya hastily grabbed her husband.

    “Honestly, it’s hard to accept.”

Pellio slowly dropped his wife's arm holding me.

“So, let’s go for a little walk.”

“Hey, shall I go with you?”

“It will take a long time, so I’m going to sleep first.”

    Pelio opened the front door.

“I will erase the West from the map and come.”

With those words, Pellio really left the mansion.

    * * *

    And two years later.

Two knights stood in front of a small waiting room. They were looking straight ahead with a blunt expression on their faces. They wore splendid and solemn robes and belonged to a different knighthood. But the mission to escort the girls behind the door was the same.

    “But there is.”

The silver-haired girl who had been silently listening to the story her friend was telling her tilted her head.

“Is my house still in good shape?”

The Duke of Borreotti said the West would be removed from the map, but the girl's precious hometown still existed.

    “That’s right.”

The black-haired girl told the hidden truth.

“My mother, my sister, and the Knights of Gladigo managed to catch my father and stop him.”

    “Hey, that’s not funny.”

Felidea was disappointed that the ending was too futile.

    “But, your father.”

    Who can hear Felidea?

“I think it’s kind of weird.”

He whispered quietly so that only his friends could hear it.

“Originally, all fathers with daughters are that crazy.”

Beleani replied with a sullen expression.

The two girls were wearing the same sky and sky dress. Beleani tied her dark hair in two ponytails, and Felidea tied her gray young silver hair down. And they both wore pretty wreaths on their heads.

However, the subject of the conversation was not as elegant as the dress.

“Think about it, Pelly. My precious daughter was pregnant before we got married, and which father would love it.”

“Of course, it was my little brother’s fault.”

The topic of conversation between the two children was about an exorbitant speeding offense committed by their respective older sisters and older brothers two years ago.

“My dad, I’ve been sick for a long time since then.”

The reason Pellio couldn't erase the West from the map was not because the people around him discouraged him, but rather because he was lying on the floor shocked by the pregnancy of his eldest daughter.

“But did the Duke really want to destroy the West?”

“It was real when I saw it.”

As I say now, Beleani had never been so afraid of Pellio then.

    “And my brother-in-law almost died.”

Even as a child, I had quite a few memories of my brother-in-law crossing the line. There was a time when he overheard his father muttering to himself that he wanted to add a colorless, odorless, poison to wine and saved it himself.

“My little brother, are you being bullied there?”

    Felidea asked worriedly.

    “No!”

    Beleani quickly denied it.

“Not anymore. How close are my father and brother-in-law?”

    “…….”

“If you don’t hit me, aren’t you friendly?”

“I can see why my mother sometimes goes to the temple to pray for her little brother… .”

It was because of the life and death of my little brother.

“I thought our older brother was the main character, but now that I see, my younger brother also had a lot of problems.”

“Originally, it was said that geniuses are a little crazy somewhere.”

    Beleani offered consolation, not consolation.

While the two children were chattering.

    “Girl, dear Boreotti.”

The maid of Hesperi's mansion called the two of them.

“They say the ceremony will start soon. Come on out.”

    “Oh, you started!”

    “I’m excited… .”

The two went out with their own flower baskets.

    * * *

The wedding of Young-ae, Duke of Borreotti and Young-sik, Marquis of Hesperi was held at Hesferi's estate, which boasts a sunny spring day. Originally, it was correct to do it in a high-ranking duke's residence. However, thanks to the wishes of the Marquis and Marquis to send their son well, the wedding was decided to be held at the Hesferi mansion.

The northern nobles who attended as guests on the bride's side could not help but be amazed.

    “You do it eventually.”

    "Iknow, right."

    “I really want to get married… .”

Pellio's love for children was very famous. The truth, not a joke, that my eldest daughter would allow her to marry when she turned 50 has long been accepted as an orthodoxy in the North. However, in the end, Leonie got married at the age of twenty-five, only half of that, not fifty.

    Even that alone is shocking.

“How old is Boreotti Youngson now?”

“You met your stone a few days ago.”

    Count Urmariti answered happily.

“How cute and lovable he is, he looks forward to the future!”

Although it cannot be said to others forever, the fact that the grandson left behind by his deceased daughter gave birth to a child and that he was getting married in this way warmed his eyes.

“Because the Count cares so much for Boreotti Youngae.”

Count Bosgruni, who was with him, laughed. A familiar face entered the eyes of Count Urmariti, who was smiling shyly.

    “You came with your daughter.”

“Now the problem has been resolved.”

Count Bosgruni was with his daughter.

“My son dug out of the enemy.”

As if brushing off the old dust, Count Bosgruni had a refreshing expression on his face.

“When my father went to study, he even gave up his title, but I started a fuss about giving up his title as well.”

    “Such.”

“I finally got that damn bastard out.”

Count Urmariti did not ask 'how' the son was removed. Instead, he exchanged greetings with the Count, Young-ae, who will become the new boss Gruni.

    “Everyone is here.”

The Marquis Pardus appeared with a sad smile.

    “Oh, did you come alone?”

“I came with my wife. My son went to meet the academy juniors, and his father is in the North.”

The former Marquis of Pardus had reached an age where it was difficult to travel long distances. He regretted not being able to attend this wedding.

“When you see that face, you’re still correct, even though I want to.”

People laughed at the marquis' farm.

“By the way, where is Viscount Kerata?”

“I was with the Empress Dowager.”

At the point, the Viscount Kerata couple were exchanging greetings with their daughter whom they had not seen in a long time.

    “How are you, Empress?”

    “Aren’t you feeling uncomfortable?”

“Hey, you can just call me comfortably.”

Empress Plomus could not hide her sadness. However, only the name by which they are called has changed, and the heart of the parents who care and look after their married daughter is sincere.

    “Is your stomach okay?”

Meanwhile, Alchesman treated his brother Plomus as usual.

    “This guy!”

Then he heard a shout from the Viscount, but Plomus was the first to thank his brother, who was so mean.

    “It’s okay because it’s stable.”

Plomus put his hand on his stomach.

“But can I travel this long?”

“Your Majesty is also there, and the most powerful knights in the Empire escort you.”

“Oh, now that you are the royal family, are you on the side of the Imperial Knights?”

At Alches' teasing, Plomus only smiled.

Western guests also congratulated the auspicious day.

"It's amazing that Skan is still alive."

    “That’s it… .”

Emperor Chrysetos was admiring Scandia's tenacious vitality with the ibex.

“But now that a child has been born, I won’t kill him, right?”

“Are you going to make your daughter a widow?”

    “Haha, right?”

The two rich men laughed haha, saying that they can rest assured now.

    “Sister Whoopi!”

    "UNI!"

Ufikla greeted Yunisia from the East warmly.

    “How have you been?”

“Hehe, there is a magic promotion test coming soon.”

So, Unicia grumbled, saying it was going to die.

“But why is your family in the West and not the North?”

“The best customer in the East is the West.”

Literally by Unicia, the Marquis Ortio and Marquis were talking to the Marquis of Hesperi. And the Countess of Canis and his wife were there.

    “But who is Whoopi’s sister?”

"I'm escorting the Hesferi girl right now."

    "like that. Uh, brother Ter.”

    “Why do northerners come here?”

The two waved their hands as if welcoming the approaching Ter.

“I stopped by because I saw familiar faces.”

    “Ugh, that’s sassy.”

“Is your brother doing well too?”

The dining room was noisy. As the people gathered to celebrate the wedding sincerely, the bustling atmosphere was full of happiness.

    and.

    “Hami… .”

“It’s not Grandma, it’s Aunt Salus.”

    “Hamii!”

A secret meeting was taking place in the bride's waiting room. Salus, who was present as the representative of the Southern Aust family, was meeting his cousin and nephew for the first time.

    “Uh, ooh.”

The chubby baby sitting on Leonie's lap twitched at her plump breasts.

    “Hami… .”

The baby eventually escaped into Varya's arms. But the black eyes remained fixed on Salus' turquoise hair. He even reached out and tried to catch him.

“… You look a lot like a knight.”

Salus gladly put my hair into his nephew's hand. The baby was black, but the overall impression was that of his father. But the way she held the hair in her hand stubbornly was just like her mother.

    “So how lucky I am.”

    The bride was fed up.

    “It’s difficult to predict already.”

    Varya snorted.

“Don’t you remember? Leah was also docile up until this point.”

But now, even rumors have been heard that Leonie is not the child she secretly gave birth to.

“Does a mother want to curse her daughter that is about to get married?”

    Leonie pursed her lips.

“Leo would be very lovely and healthy if he looked like you, of course, that’s a compliment.”

"not really? Is your mother's face so mean?"

“It’s because there are so many places where our eldest daughter gets stabbed alone.”

The winner of the mother-daughter fight was Varya.

Salus, who had been happily watching this, got up from his seat.

“Then I’ll go to the dining room.”

Congratulations on your wedding, Salus turned back with heartfelt congratulations to Leoni.

    “Mom must go now.”

Varya also prepared to go to the dining room. The baby beast, noticing a sign of going out, began to babble.

“Shall we wait for my little one with my uncle?”

    “Wow, huh!”

Perhaps he heard his uncle's voice, the baby waved his limbs to tell him to go. Leonie, who was staring at him, smiled.

“Are you from a messy family, according to your dad?”

    "Yes? Why?"

“Oh my God, your uncle is younger than your nephew.”

“What a difference of just a few months.”

Varya nags, saying that if you can afford to worry about that, just think about the wedding today. But the mother's footsteps did not fall easily.

    “… It’s pretty.”

That the young lady in front of her was her daughter, Varya was surprised to find out again.

“Today you will be more beautiful than anyone else.”

As Varya approached, Leonie opened her arms and embraced her mother tightly.

    "right?"

The baby, who was held in the arms of the two of them at the same time, smiled wildly.

“Because she’s my mother’s daughter, of course she’s beautiful.”

“Do you know how happy I am every time you say that?”

“What is there to be happy about?”

It's a natural fact. Leonie embraced Varya's face, which had begun to sniff, tightly.

    “Take a good look today.”

And as always, he spoke boldly.

“Who’s daughter is this pretty bride?”

    “That’s it.”

Her moist green eyes drew a pretty arc.

    “My little one too.”

Leonie pressed his lips to his son's cheek.

“Shall we see you later after the ceremony?”

    "Yes!"

    “The answer is also stupid.”

    send them both

    “Whoa… .”

At last, Leoni, who was left alone, was able to exhale with tension.

In this case he made the MTL of the book version, not the version that we can read at least one chapter for free a day.

Because people have been by my side since the morning breeze to prepare for the wedding, being alone like this was a great comfort.

    'It's been so long... .'

A kid who wore rags less than a rag became a nobleman. I vowed to be strong for my loved one. After indomitable effort, I became a Boreotti that everyone recognized. I met a loved one and a precious child was born.

    And today.

    Finally got married.

Leonie turned and looked at the woman in the mirror. The woman in the mirror was very beautiful. A beautiful woman lavishly adorned with a black diamond dress handed down from her mother and family accessories.

When I was a kid, I only heard cute sounds, but now, because of the cold and cold atmosphere, scary sounds came out first.

    “Felly! Let’s fight in Hwa-dong.”

"great. Whoever sows the most beautiful flowers wins?”

    “Oh my, ladies!”

What a monstrous thing to do on a wedding day!

Just then, a loud noise was heard outside the waiting room.

    “Fuck!”

    Leonie laughed involuntarily.

    'Now we're starting.'

When I closed my eyes and listened, I could clearly see the situation outside. A lovely husband walking through the ceremonial hall with nervous faces, and the laughter of chattering children.

    'and… .'

Hearing the sound of footsteps getting closer, Leonie got up from her seat. Whenever I heard those footsteps, Leonie always felt good.

    smart.

    "Leo."

    "Dad!"

Pellio looked at her daughter who smiled brightly at me and widened her eyes.

“Oh, are you surprised that I am so pretty?”

“Leo, it’s only natural that you’re pretty.”

    “Your compliments are generous today.”

Leoni smiled broadly. Pellio, on the other hand, did not smile. Leonie knew how complicated his father's heart was right now, so he didn't risk it.

“I’m all grown up, even if I want to.”

Pellio held out his hand, and Leonie put his arm on it.

“I don’t think anything has changed, I think.”

    "Yes? is it?"

The two left the waiting room and stood in front of the dining room.

“Your face remains the same as when you were young.”

    “Um, am I a while?”

Felio twisted one corner of his mouth at the light joke. Leonie did not miss the smile with the faint wrinkles on his lips.

    “… Nothing has changed.”

    Bride, please come in.

With the progress of the society, the Boreotti and daughters marched at a slow pace. Leonie felt that the gateway to Yedo created by the two knights, Gladigo and Radio, was exceptionally long.

    “You are still my daughter.”

Pellio said after passing through the Yedo Gate.

    “I am your only father.”

At the end of the march stood Scandia. Dressed in a pure white robe, he looked visibly nervous. But his eyes were fixed on Leonie. Leonie's relentless gaze, unwavering even in the event of a natural disaster, made him feel ashamed without realizing it.

And Pellio had a grim face that seemed like he had to kill that guy right away to get rid of his character. However, in the end, he only took a deep breath.

    “… okay."

    said Pellio.

    “Dad is always a loser.”

When was the last time you defeated this Wensu? But it was a very happy defeat. He realized the truth of the world that he had learned countless times today as he put my daughter in the hands of another man.

    "live well."

    "Dad… .”

Leonie was speechless. Felio patted the back of his hand as if he knew everything.

“… Even if you get married, living with your father doesn’t change, what do you mean?”

You're talking nonsense. Leonie murmured as if it was ridiculous.

“… What did I really eat and raise you?”

Perhaps it was a mistake to have lost his conscience by nurturing a childish mind, but Pellio had to remind himself of the regrets he would never forget for the rest of his life. Eventually, Pellio handed Leonie's hand to Scandia.

    “Good job.”

After giving a bloody warning, Pellio sat down next to his already weeping wife.

    "it's okay?"

Varya asked, wiping her eyes with a handkerchief.

“I guess that’s what I’m going to say.”

    Pellio laughed.

“I don’t think your heart is just a heart.”

    “…….”

    In fact, Varya was right.

Up to this day, Boreotti has been really eventful. Leonie and Scandia's speeding violation caused an uproar, but after trying to calm down, Varya became pregnant with their third child in the aftermath of their honeymoon. The third cousin of the same age that Pellio was so worried about was born.

Beleani said that he didn't like his brother, and he was so crowded that he was finally scolded. Don't mothers and daughters hug their swollen belly and prenatal with muscle croquettes?

    “… head.”

As soon as Pellio remembered the past, a headache arose.

    “Are you still having fun?”

    “What is fun… .”

To be honest, the word "fun" didn't really fit the situation. With two babies born in succession, Borreotti was noisier than ever.

    “Happy.”

The water has already spilled. However, spilled water can also spur new happiness.

“It was something I had to be prepared for anyway.”

As Leonie said, we will live together even after we get married, and there is no way we will be apart for a while, except for a few things. Still, I couldn't help but feel so sad.

    “…….”

Varya just quietly held her husband's hand. The couple looked at their daughter, who was getting married in front of everyone, holding hands tightly.

    “You are the best father.”

Pellio's eyes lit up a little.

    * * *

    "mom?"

    “Big sister.”

Black hair and dark pink hair. Two babies, each with different colors, walked back and forth at a fast pace.

    “…….”

There, Leonie sat in a chair with a sad expression on her face. Squatting on a wooden chair the size of a five-year-old kid, the young girl Boreotti stared blankly at the wall. Around his neck was a necklace with the words 'I will not open a borrowed-name account in my son's name.'

    "Guys!"

Leonie, who was about to die of embarrassment at such a punishment at this age, opened her arms wide toward the little beasts.

    "mom mom… !”

With a smile that Pedel gave, he hugged Leonie tightly.

    “Ehehe, bee, bee!”

On the other hand, the youngest brother, Renius, made fun of Leonie by joking around whether it was fun for my older sister to be punished.

    "Ah! Ouch!”

In the end, I was bitten by my eldest sister. Of course it didn't hurt.

    “Uncle is bad… .”

Pedel wept. The corners of his eyes, which had gone down, twitched like weeping.

    “Mom is fine.”

Leonie placed his son on my lap and kissed his lips against his eyes.

“My little one is nice too.”

    “Pee, me?”

    Renius pursed his lips.

“Lenny, you made fun of my sister earlier.”

    "no!"

    “Is that right?”

    “No!”

As soon as he started playing, he seemed to be in a better mood, so Renius hurriedly put his hips on Leonie's lap.

“Big sister, why are you scolding me?”

Then I asked, pointing to the wrong necklace on my sister's neck.

    “That’s right… .”

    Rather, Leonie wanted to ask.

'I'm trying to get my son's share, so why do I have to be angry?'

I didn't touch Borreotti's fortune, I just wanted to secretly give away some of the profits from my watch brand.

    “Kid, what about your father?”

    "Dad?"

    Pedel answered after thinking, "Wow."

“Uh, Grandpa and I rode the carriage.”

    "Ohh."

Are you saying that? Leonie's eyes twinkled. Come to think of it, they said they were going out to inspect the estate today, but since I went with my son-in-law, there was a high possibility that the two of us would come with a drink lightly.

    “Little beasts!”

Leonie put the babies down on the floor.

“From now on, I give you a mission.”

At the words of the mission, the eyes of the babies shone brightly.

“Give you these necklaces and chairs.”

Leonie took off the necklace by mistake and hung it around Pedel's neck.

    “Big sister! me too!"

    “Come, come.”

Leonie wrote on a piece of paper that Pellio had left nearby, 'I did not know that my eldest sister was afraid.' The children wearing the wrong necklace sat side by side under the chairs.

“You are sitting here for me. Do you understand?”

    "Yes."

    Pedel answered meekly.

    “Well then!”

Renius demanded a bribe in return.

“Okay, what would you like to eat?”

    "cookie! Chocolate Cookies!”

    “I, strawberry milk candy… .”

Pedel also quietly insisted on what he wanted to eat.

    “Yeah, I have both… .”

I'll come," he said, turning around.

“It’s a good thing, eldest daughter.”

    “…!”

After almost shouting, 'Wow, look!', Leonie realized that there were children, and hurriedly closed her lips.

    “Oh, it’s Daddy!”

Renius chuckled as he clung to Pellio's leg.

    “Come here, too, little one.”

Pelio motioned for Pedel, but Pedel shook her head and did not get up from her seat.

“Mom told me to sit down.”

    “…….”

Pellio looked at the eldest daughter with a surprised expression.

“Are you going to punish your son and brother? When the hell are you going to grow up?”

“If you hold each piece of iron, it will cost you about a thousand geun… .”

Pellio pinched Leonie's sullen lips, who was about to say that she could lift it.

    “Uh, uh!”

Startled, Pedel hurriedly got up from her seat.

“No, Mom, oh no! Don't do it, grandpa! Don’t do it!”

Pedel shook her head with tears in her eyes.

    “…….”

And Pellio, who was too weak for his grandson, had no choice but to put his hand away.

    “Mom, are you sick? ah?”

Whoa, whoa. Pedel gave me a breath, ho-ho. Moved, Leonie covered her mouth with both hands.

    “I gave birth to this angel… !”

    “That’s right… .”

How could such a gentle and kind child be born from you, Pelio couldn't believe it even after seeing it. In my heart, I hoped Leonie would suffer a lot by giving birth to a daughter who looked like him, but my youngest son was just like my older sister.

“I’m glad I look like Scan.”

The contribution of the son-in-law was too great.

“It wasn’t enough to marry you, so I gave you grandchildren like this.”

“When did you try to kill me?”

    Leonie was sarcastic.

    And outside the door.

    “…….”

Scandia, who had been listening to the conversation between her wife and the father-in-law, covered her eyes with a large hand.

“My brother-in-law also sheds a lot of tears.”

What are you crying about, Beleani giggled.

    “Don’t make fun of me.”

Varya lightly slapped the second's forehead with the back of her hand. Then, he was moved and patted the back of his son-in-law, who was shivering.

“I’m usually blunt because there are things he has done in the past.”

nod nod. Scandia couldn't even speak a word, and only moved her head slowly.

“Actually, I really like my son.”

He said that he was very proud of his son-in-law when he was not there, but Varya taught me a secret that everyone knew.

    8. Hymn

    “…….”

Loupe got into the carriage and was more nervous than ever.

“There is no need to be so nervous.”

The Marquis of Pardus, who was with them, comforted their young son. A large hand stroked her well-combed hair.

    “But, Dad… .”

Loupe glanced out the window. All of a sudden, the carriage was getting closer and closer to its destination. A large and terrifying mansion located at the highest point in the Boreoti estate.

    “You’re going to Borreotti’s mansion… .”

“Are you afraid of the Borreotti mansion, or are you afraid of the Borreotti?”

    “All, of course, Boreotti!”

    Loupe answered immediately.

“The fangs of beasts are very dangerous and scary.”

“I want to see through... .”

    “Then you die!”

“It would be a very happy thing to die like that… .”

The Marquis of Pardus smiled like a happy dream. Loupe went crazy thinking that I was the only one serious.

“Your brother will inherit the title… .”

Soon, the carriage arrived at its destination. However, Loupe muttered, unable to get off.

“Do I have a reason to go?”

    “Yes.”

The Marquis of Pardus hurriedly took my youngest son and made him get off the wagon.

“You have someone to take care of here.”

    “Moshil, are you?”

Loupe, who had been clinging to the Marquis even after being lowered to the floor, stared intently at the mansion. It was just gloomy as it was a place where fearsome beasts live.

    “Bo, isn’t that Duke Borreotti?”

If that was the case, I was going to run away without looking back immediately.

    “Lonely beast.”

The Marquis of Pardus entered the mansion with his son.

    “Be on his side.”

    * * *

With a bang, the library door roared open.

    “Pelio!”

With the light sound of shoes, Regina ran with her black hair and bright yellow skirt flying.

    “Is there Pellio?”

The quiet study became lively at once. The boy who came to Hana's study first did not like the innocent voice looking for me. Rather, I wished they hadn't found me.

    “Uh, were you here?”

But, as always, the boy's expectations were dashed.

“Why are you reading in such a deep and gloomy place?”

Regina asked with a natural smile. His black hair, curving like waves, was the same as the boy's short one.

    “… Regina.”

Reading is over. Pellio closed the book.

“You have to be quiet in the library.”

“Hehe, okay. I'll be more careful next time."

“Do you know how many times that word has already been said?”

    “Um, I don’t know!”

    “…….”

Pelio, speechless, immediately remembered how old Regina was. My cousin, who was so frustrated that I wondered if he had left his sense of reading the atmosphere at the Urmariti mansion, was two years younger than me.

Pellio was 11 years old this year.

    'nine… .'

He thought back to his nine-year-old days, but he didn't seem to be as ignorant as Regina.

    “Why did you find me?”

"Hey. The Marquis of Pardus has arrived.”

    "therefore?"

“I have to go say hello! You are an adult.”

    Regina grabbed Pellio's arm.

Pellio frowned. It hurts my arm from the reckless pulling, but the sound that doesn't stand up is just frustrating.

    “We are Boreotti.”

    The boy waved his arm.

“Pardus is lower than Boreotti. You don't have to go out and meet them face to face."

Moreover, if it was Pardus, externally, it had to be seen as a relationship opposite to Boreotti. Even if the meeting took place inside the mansion, there was nothing wrong with being cautious.

“Or, will your father come down to see us?”

    "no."

It was only Regina's personal opinion that it would be better to go and say hello. Pellio let out a deep sigh as if he knew I would.

    “When you’ve seen everything, leave.”

    “Can’t I be here too?”

“Are you sure you want to be quiet?”

    "I have!"

Looking at this, Regina picked up a book that was nearby. He also meant to read a book here. Either way, Pellio picked up the book he had been reading again and sat down leaning against the window.

    “…….”

    “…….”

I wished that such quiet peace would come again.

    “… Pellio.”

Regina put the book aside and clung to Pellio's side.

    “Is that book interesting?”

    "Huh."

    “What are you talking about?”

    “Government Management.”

Pellio answered without taking his eyes off the book.

    “It’s difficult!”

Regina pursed her lips and grunted. Unbearable, Pelio gathered up his last patience and said.

    “… I am studying now.”

There were two more books that Duke Borreotti gave them to read.

    “Please, please, be quiet.”

    “Your uncle? Why?”

    “That’s it… .”

Pellio was speechless at the innocent question.

    “… Whoa.”

Pelio managed to suppress the boiling inside, and he had to explain himself many times today.

“I must succeed in my father’s footsteps as a duke. So I'm studying."

    “Hey, Pellio is passionate.”

I didn't understand at all. While explaining, Pellio did not have high expectations. I just wanted it to be quiet just for this moment.

    “Then Pellio… .”

But Regina did not stop asking questions.

    “You don’t want to play?”

“I will play after reading all the books.”

    “Then read it quickly!”

    “Then be quiet.”

    "Yes!"

Regina kept her mouth shut and sat leaning under the window. I wanted it to be so quiet.

    “…….”

Unable to hold back that moment, Regina got up from her seat and looked around and moved in a distracted manner.

    “…….”

As expected, Pelio ignored the attention that was pouring into me and concentrated on reading the book.

Pellio is the only child. As the only heir to Borreotti, he was a precious person that would not be strange even if his parents valued gold or jade. In addition, he has the strongest ability among all Boreoti.

    'But why... .'

Kara thought as she organized the master's clothes and piled them up in the closet drawer. The place she touched was very neat.

After leaving the dressing room, Kara started cleaning the room. Even in the midst of a busy movement, Kara could not escape from contemplation. Rather, it went deeper.

'Is the master and the devil so heartless?'

    Then, eventually, it stopped working.

Originally, Kara was Pellio's nanny. Before that, she was a single mother who had been abandoned by a human she thought was her husband and was making a living on her own. While living a life of poverty, his son Tra was born at the same time as Pellio, and he moved into the mansion as a nursing nanny.

To Kara, Pellio was a grateful benefactor who freed our hat from hunger and poverty, and he was a man who dared to think of him as a son. Kara had her own pride in this. I know that Pellio obeys my instructions to other users, even with sunken cars.

However, while I was happy about that fact, I couldn't help but be worried. As a single nanny, no matter how much she took care of her, it was nothing compared to her parents' love.

'You are such a lovely person... .'

All Kara could do was just take a little look at him.

    “Kara.”

Kara was startled at the sudden sound and looked back.

    “Oh my, master.”

Kara wiped her dusty hands with her apron and walked over.

    “What are you doing?”

When he got down on his knees to meet his gaze, Pellio hesitated, took out what was in his pocket, and held it out.

    “I’ll give you this.”

What Kara received was a small flower with an unknown name. The pure white petals were slightly yellowed by the body temperature, but the flower itself did not lose its vitality yet.

“I saw it in a book.”

Pellio said still without making eye contact.

“I used to give gifts to foreign countries beyond the East to express my gratitude to my parents. That's why I'm giving it to you."

    Kara was heartbroken.

“How can you just give this precious thing to the nanny… .”

I was very grateful, but the owner of this flower had to be the owner and his wife.

“You must give it to the masters. They are the master’s parents.”

    “They are done.”

The name that came out of Pellio's mouth was very desolate and dry, as if referring to someone else.

“My father and mother are not in the mansion.”

    I went out with Regina.

    "Ah… .”

Kara was at a loss for words.

    "it's okay."

On the contrary, Pelio calmly comforted Kara.

“I knew it a while ago.”

    “…….”

    "Hey. I'm hungry."

“… Come to think of it, it’s lunch time soon.”

Kara smiled laboriously and headed to the restaurant with Pellio.

“Kara, ask Tra to eat together.”

"It's not possible. Tra is the starter of the Knights Templar. We should eat there.”

    “How are you?”

Playing with food or whatever. Tra, who was accidentally summoned by Pellio's unreasonable persistence, had lunch with Pellio. Kara thought again as she watched Pellio chatting and having a meal with her son.

Also, there's something strange about this house.

    * * *

After following his father, Loupe visited the Borreotti mansion twice a week as a friend of Pellio. It has been two years since I visited.

Now, Loupe was not as afraid of Borreotti as when he first came here. The Duke Boreoti he met when he first came was still scary, but he wasn't afraid of the master Pelio he was going to serve.

Of course, his character was a bit dirty.

    "loupe!"

Just then, the boy's voice was heard from behind.

    “Regina-sama.”

A bright smile appeared on Loupe's face as he turned around. Regina was in her outdoor attire. Her dark hair was tied in half as usual.

    “How have you been?”

“Are you doing well, Loupe? It's very cold these days, isn't it?"

Seeing this, Regina blew her breath into the air. The warm breath froze hazy as soon as it met the cold air.

“Wear warm clothes. catch a cold.”

    “Thank you for your concern.”

“Still, winter seems to be the season best suited to the North, doesn’t it?”

Loupe was very fond of the innocent Regina. The goodness and innocence that did not go well with Borreotti made even the viewers happy.

    “But where are you going?”

“Go out with your maternal uncle and aunt.”

Where Regina pointed, there was the Duke and Duchess of Borreotti. As soon as Loupe saw them, he hurriedly greeted them. Of course, there was no response back.

"Huh? Will Pellio-sama go with you?”

    “Ugh.”

    Regina shook her head.

    “Pelio, study!”

    "Ah… .”

For a moment, Loupe couldn't hide his expression.

    'Lonely beast.'

okay. Loupe thought as he saw Regina off. Also, this house was a little strange.

    “Do you like Regina?”

    "Yes?"

Loupe's eyes widened at the unexpected question. Pellio, who actually asked the question, confirmed and killed one more time as if it was an insignificant question.

“Your face turns red just looking at Regina. The crowd is doubling.”

    “Ah, I don’t… ?”

Loupe's face turned red in embarrassment.

    “Is that so?”

Pellio also asked Tra. Tra nodded in agreement.

“But Regina-sama is kind and pretty. So, I think it’s only natural to like it.”

“I, too, have a crush on me because of that.”

    “Excuse me,”

The three boys were playing, kicking and catching the ball once.

“But are you having fun with this?”

    loupe asked.

    “I don’t feel bad and it’s good.”

Pellio responded by passing the ball to Loupe. The ball, which flew quite far with a pop, went over Loupe's head. Loupe quickly ran to find the ball.

    “… Tra are you too?”

    Pellio also asked Tra.

    “Do you like Regina?”

    “Ummm… .”

Tra thought for a moment, then nodded.

    “You have to like it.”

But he added that he didn't really want to get married or that kind of feeling. Regina was a person who felt good just by looking at her.

    "okay?"

    “Perhaps everyone thinks so.”

    “I hate it.”

Pelio said as he watched Loupe running with the ball.

“… How much do you hate it?”

Tra asked, trying to hide her surprise.

In fact, watching Pellio up close, he knew all too well that he didn't like Regina. Even my mother, Kara, advised me not to be too friendly with Regina in front of Pellio. But I never imagined that I would hear such words from my own mouth.

    "Well… .”

    Pellio thought for a moment.

“What if Regina suddenly dies or disappears.”

I don't think you'll be sad. Pellio spoke frankly.

An unusual being who comes from a branch, but has the fangs of a beast. And my aunt's blood. But the cousin who touches my heart and annoys me every day.

    “I’d rather have someone else… .”

The backstory was omitted, but Tra knew clearly what Pellio wanted to say.

    'I really hate it.'

Tra was amazed again. If it had been a real man, as Pellio said, Regina would have been very scolded. No, I was just happy to be scolded. Just then, Loupe brought the ball. However, the boys did not continue to play ball any longer.

    “Am I weird?”

Pellio asked the two of them. To Loupe, surprised by the sudden question, I briefly relayed the conversation that Tra had while I was away.

“Why do you hate it so much?”

    loupe asked.

“Is it because the Duke and the Majesty took care of Regina-sama a little more?”

    "no."

    But Pelio's answer was surprising.

    “I hate it because I don’t have a clue.”

After saying that sometimes it's so frustrating and annoying that I want to put my head down, Pelio went into the mansion. Loupe and Tra followed.

After that day, the two never mentioned Regina in front of Pellio again.

    * * *

“Why does the Duke not love Pellio-sama?”

    That night.

Loupe asked his father, who had come to see my bed. The Marquis of Pardus, sitting on the bed on which his son was lying, gracefully crossed one of his legs.

“Isn’t it strange in your eyes?”

“My father and mother like me.”

    “I love you very much.”

The Marquis of Pardus said, handing over Loupe's hair. Loupe, feeling embarrassed for nothing, patted my hair as if stroking it. Now, I was at an age where I would be ashamed of my parents' expressions of affection.

    “… To be honest.”

The Marquis, who looked at the son with a smile, opened his mouth.

    “I don’t know why either.”

The Marquis of Pardus admired Borreotti, but as a parent, he often felt that he really hated the relationship.

    “Loupe, how did you feel?”

asked the Marquis. Loupe carefully selected the words. For some reason, I was scared because it seemed like I was insulting Duke Borreotti, but I felt like I had to express it anyway.

    “It was like training Pelio-sama.”

    “…….”

    “So, uh… .”

    “Like a hound?”

    "Yes."

The Duke and Duchess of Borreotti certainly provided the best environment for their son. The clothes he wore, the food he ate, and everything he could touch was given only the most expensive and luxurious things. And he always took the time to teach his son himself.

“If I were Pellio-sama, I think it would have been very difficult.”

    "Why?"

“The Duchess and Duchess only like Regina-sama.”

Even a young loupe looked at it as a foreign landscape. The Duke and Duchess of Borreotti always took care of Regina and loved her. However, I did not show such affection to my own children. There seemed to be interest. However, his interest was literally limited to whether the successor had properly studied and trained well.

    “Is Borreotti like that?”

    “Of course not.”

The Marquis laughed bitterly at his son's question.

“How kind were the duchess and the duchess.”

Looking at what my sons and my wife are doing now, it was clear that those who died would hold onto the back of their necks and become their flagship. Especially if you were a duchess, you would have seen blood by smashing the crown of your son and his wife with the heel of your shoe.

    “But me.”

    Loupe's face brightened slightly.

    “I like Regina-sama.”

    “Is that so?”

“You are a nice and pretty person.”

“You have to be nice… .”

The Marquis twisted the corners of his lips.

    "Good night."

After confirming that Loupe had closed her eyes and fell asleep, the Marquis Pardus came out into the hallway. The Marquis of Pardus would never lie, even if he would rather not speak to his son. So I didn't tell Loupe a secret a while ago.

    one day

'My daughter-in-law seems afraid of her son.'

The deceased duke was greatly concerned about his grandson, who would not receive the love of his parents.

'Isn't that still a real child?'

'The fangs of wild beasts are power beyond the realm of human beings.'

As a result, they are often said to be away from children. Of course, such cases were very rare. Even so, the majority of parents were married from other families. For example, the Duchess of Borreotti who was married to another family.

'Then why is the Duke doing this?'

    'That guy.'

The former duke, whose complexion had darkened with concern, opened his mouth with a deep sigh.

'Boreotti should be arrogant, but if you don't, you can make a very big mistake.'

'To make a big mistake... .'

    'conceit.'

To be arrogant toward others is because, to put it grandly, it is the fate of those who stand at the peak. Only then, trivial things did not bother me.

'For us, arrogance is only a means of warning. It doesn't mean that we are the most superior of all things in the world.'

Of course we are superior. The former Duke, who added a funny joke, still did not laugh.

'The moment you fall into such an illusion, you will only become a narrow-minded fool.'

'Are you saying that the current Duke is like that?'

    'Unfortunately.'

As if laughing at the days when he did not doubt himself as the strongest and most perfect in the world, the strongest Boreotti of all time was born as his son. Like the mace of a god trying to flatten the nose of a proud beast.

'That's why they both do it to Regina.'

But even that seemed like a bizarre 'family game' in the eyes of the ancestors.

    'Not all Boreoti is perfect.'

    'That, too, is an illusion.'

The old gentleman's face, wrinkled with wrinkles, darkened lonelyly.

'Because Boreoti is a human being, he always carries regrets and regrets in his heart.'

If I had looked at my son a little more, I might not have grown up like that. Then our little beast wouldn't have grown up alone. But Regina left behind by her dead daughter was also a sick thorn.

The previous duke couldn't do anything. In addition, if he intervened and intervened for nothing, he could have been a nuisance to Pellio. There was nothing good about stimulating my son.

    'Pardus little boy.'

    'Yes, ancestors.'

    'You shouldn't live like that.'

It was the last conversation we had with our ancestors. The ancestor passed away after a while after that conversation. After the death of the former Duchess, he joked that he was always going to see him soon, but he really followed.

    "honey?"

The Marquis, who was immersed in nostalgic contemplation, was startled.

    "What are you doing?"

    "honey."

The Marquis of Pardus came out in pajamas.

“They said he came to sleep with a loupe, and he just made a bed.”

The Marquis burst into laughter at the chilly pincup.

“It’s just, I think our youngest looks a lot like his wife.”

“Then why don’t you go and see more? Leave your wife alone.”

    “What a disgusting sound.”

Worried that his wife's waist would be cold, the Marquis hurriedly wrapped her arms around her and led her to the bedroom.

    * * *

    “Wow! Pellio!”

Regina let out an excited voice. Light blue fangs flashed vividly behind Regina's back while training the fangs of beasts in an empty training ground.

“I got all four of them!”

The first successful Regina was at the age of thirteen.

    “I tried.”

And Pellio, who had been watching Regina's training, turned fifteen. Pellio's physique was already a lot bigger than my peers, but his face still couldn't get out of the boy's tee. However, the black eyes that did not feel any emotion looked cold and painful.

    “Hehe, I tried!”

Regina smiled mischievously as she looked at the fangs she had pulled out.

“You know, my uncle said he would buy me a present when I could get all four fangs out.”

    “Good.”

    “What did Pelio get?”

    "I do not remember."

He answered bluntly, but in fact, Pelio remembered it clearly. It was when he was five years old that he had his first full canine out. In fact, I had brought it out before, but I pretended not to be able to do it until it was clear that my parents would hate it.

Of course, even when I was young when I was asked to take it out, the praise I had been hoping for did not come out at all. On the contrary, he received only the proper gaze.

    “Pelio.”

    "Why."

“We have the great power of the fangs of wild beasts.”

    “What a terrific thing.”

Pelio picked up the wooden sword that had been lying on the floor. And she swung her wooden sword broadly to show that she didn't want to talk, but Regina continued, without noticing it.

“Is there anything I can do with this?”

The wooden sword stopped in mid-air.

    “Regina.”

Pellio thought that if it was a talent, it was a talent. You must have learned the history of the family with me, and you must have listened to the bad relationship with the imperial family.

    “That’s impossible.”

    "why?"

Regina still had a flower garden in her head. One day, Kara said: Regina is so kind that everyone dreams of a better world. But Pelio had a different idea.

    this wasn't good

As Pellio had seen for a long time, Regina was unaware that she was 'Boreotti'.

    “Boreotti must not be reckless.”

In other words, there was no sense of responsibility that Boreoti should have.

    "Why?"

    Regina asked.

“But he said that the world changes only when someone with power gets up and takes action. We have that kind of power.”

Therefore, he insisted that if we chastise the bad people and get rid of all the demons, there would be peace.

    “…….”

For an instant, Pellio looked down at the wooden sword in his hand. If you slap me in the back with this, maybe I can get out of this stupid conversation. Even if I pass out, I don't think I'll keep my mouth shut.

Still, he showed patience and explained it to Regina.

“Boreoti obtained the autonomy of the North in exchange for the title.”

you know that When Pellio asked if it was possible, Regina nodded her head.

“That’s why the Northern Marrow nobles still belong to Boreoti. My dad is like that.”

Thanks to his biological father, Count Urmariti, he seemed to know that.

"that's right. However, since we have been given the title, we must not do anything that could threaten the imperial family.”

    “You don’t.”

“You were going to do it.”

    "I?"

Regina's eyes widened as if she didn't know at all. That innocent expression on his face, Pelio sometimes felt more cruel than violence. Neither the infamous Northern Mountains would dare to name their names in front of Regina's poisonous innocence.

    “… We cannot do that.”

The imperial family was afraid of Boreoti. At the beginning of the founding of the country, the first emperor was unable to subordinate the North and was constantly defeated. It was because of the fangs of a beast that transcended the realm of humans. Because of that, they were sensitive to Boreotti's movements. It was part of the law prohibiting the use of a gate connected to the northern part of the imperial palace.

“The fangs of wild beasts should only be used when hunting monsters, and when the opponent is ignorant of the subject in the first place.”

    "Yes… .”

Regina's lips, who had been silently listening, protruded slightly. I understood it to some extent, but it was still difficult to understand.

“Can’t we work hand in hand with the imperial family?”

“You mustn’t even hold hands with the imperial family.”

    Pellio took a deep breath.

“Even marriage between Boreotti and the imperial family is forbidden.”

    “Uh, really? Why?"

    asked Regina, surprised.

“To prevent Boreoti’s powers from continuing to the imperial family.”

“The fangs of beasts are direct… .”

“It is possible to be born with a lineage that is not a direct line.”

That example is you. Pelio's voice suddenly filled with anger, and even Regina, who was not aware, shrugged her shoulders.

    “… Anyway, that’s it.”

    Pellio hurriedly captured his emotions.

    “So please.”

Pelio asked Regina for the first time.

    “While I am away.”

A few days later, Pellio goes down to the capital and enters the academy.

    "take care."

Don't do anything for nothing. Pellio's brief request was full of earnest desire not to cause trouble to Boreotti.

    “Pelio… !”

But Regina did not understand the meaning either. Moved only by the appearance of worrying about him, he hugged Pellio tightly.

“Are you going to come every vacation?”

    "maybe."

To be honest, I just wanted to stay in the capital for the entire vacation. However, if I did, my father would tell me to build a friendship with the Crown Prince, so I decided to just go up. Because Regina was a little better than that stupid little bastard. it was a little better

“It’s sad to think that I won’t be able to see Pelio… .”

I'm not At least Pellio longed for the day he entered the academy.

    And three years later.

It was a rainy summer night.

    Regina disappeared.

    * * *

It was the day Pellio returned to the North for summer vacation.

    “Master, are you here?”

Kara greeted Pelio from the entrance of the front door.

    “Isn’t the capital hot early?”

“It is not a place for people to live.”

Although he had only experienced the beginning of summer for a while, Pellio was fed up with the summer in the capital.

“But what if you wear thin clothes?”

Kara lightly criticized Pellio's attire. Pellio was wearing a white shirt made of thin fabric. His stout physique was faintly reflected in the fabric.

    “Nagging.”

Pelio didn't even pretend to listen and went up to the room.

“Now, don’t you listen to this nanny even with the back of your ear?”

“At my age, it was time to rebel.”

    “Then my stomach will burn.”

“It’s nice and warm in winter.”

Thanks to the master who did not lose a word, Kara finally burst into laughter. It was a conversation that was only possible because it was these two people.

    "By the way."

Pellio came into the room and asked.

    “The house is so quiet.”

It used to be a quiet place, but today the desolateness has subsided even more heavily. Pellio barely noticed the reason.

    “Regina?”

When I came to the mansion, I didn't have a cousin who followed me around all day and begged me to tell you about the academy.

    "that… .”

Kara avoided her gaze and kept quiet.

    “… No, it did.”

Pellio withdrew the question. It was obvious that I hadn't heard.

    'I met a fateful opponent!'

'He said he came here to meet me. Isn't it too romantic?'

'I was caught by my uncle.'

'For the first time, I got mad. Why doesn't my uncle not understand my heart? I mean we love each other... !'

    'But it's okay.'

    Love is adversity!

Even when she was at the academy, Regina dared to write down the adversity and hardships of her love in a letter. It felt like Regina was reading it to my ears, so Pellio always read a letter and then burned it in an incinerator. Some of the dogs were still unopened.

“Take out only the clothes to change into and go out.”

Recalling the contents of the letter, Pellio frowned and began to unbutton his shirt.

    "young master."

    “That guy too.”

Before Kara could ask, Pelio dismissed it first.

“You need to know that the world is not like a dream.”

It was impossible to accept the beating of a child forever.

“Are you still young, Miss Hana? Only ten now... !”

    “Especially when you are sixteen.”

Suddenly, Pellio turned around. Black eyes filled with bitterness filled with determination. And his gaze turned beyond the closed door.

“Shouldn’t it be okay to meet someone who is a wandering knight who doesn’t know who he is?”

    “Of course I think so, but… .”

Cara was not just accepting Regina's foolishness. In fact, Pelio was right. Regina knows nothing about the Wandering Knights. No, no one had seen the article in person other than Regina. They always met Regina pretending to be a coincidence only when she went out alone.

A foreigner whose age, name, and origin are unknown. I wonder if Boreotti's precious young love is acceptable to such a human being.

“Still, you still listened to the master, didn’t you?”

    “…….”

    “If you convince me a little… .”

“If I had a persuasive head, I wouldn’t have caused such a sad month.”

Kara kept her mouth shut at the blatant gulp.

    'The master is right.'

Unfortunately for Kara, Regina also felt foolish this time around. emotion rather than reason. more than reality. Regina only grew up in body, but she was still a child in mind. No matter how much he tried to persuade him with the right words, he was just sad that he did not understand his feelings.

“What do your father and mother say?”

“Madam is recovering from the shock. The master raised his voice towards the young lady.”

    “Such.”

Pellio sighed. A pet dog he loved so much is so heartbroken, how can his heart not be troubled? Pellio's face, acting as if it were someone else's business, only had a fishy smirk on his face.

    “…….”

Kara, who watched Pellio silently, finally brought a change of clothes as he ordered.

    “I’m just… .”

The moment Kara was about to leave.

    “Listen well.”

    Pellio said abruptly.

    “This is Boreottiya.”

    "young master… ?”

Confused, Kara stopped, but Pellio, who had already turned around and changed clothes, did not see such a nanny. The shirt fell to the floor with a rustling sound. Pellio picked up a new shirt to change into.

“It would be embarrassing for me.”

Pellio had a clear sense of what Regina was thinking. The love between a knight and a princess that only appears in a childish romance novel, and a love that overcomes the difference in status.

“You must have become the main character in such a story.”

Buttons were filled from the bottom over the cracked abs that had been made through constant training. After changing his shirt, Pellio turned around again.

“I want to overcome this ordeal and win love.”

    “I, Master… ?”

“Aren’t you frustrated when things don’t go as you want?”

Pellio, who passed Kara, slammed the door open. There, Regina stood alone with her head bowed.

    “…….”

He couldn't even look at Pellio, and his hands holding the hem of his skirt were trembling with anger. Only tears were dripping down on the floor.

Just as Pelio noticed Regina's presence with the fangs of a beast, Regina must have sensed Pellio and came here. That's why Pelio had to speak out loud.

    "miss!"

Kara tried to turn to Regina, but Pellio reached out and blocked her.

    “Don’t say it twice.”

And for the first time in my life, I sincerely spoke to Regina.

    “Break that heart.”

    “Why, everyone… .”

    Regina asked hard.

    “Are you against us?”

    “It’s because I’m thinking of you… .”

    “If you think of me!”

A voice that was choked with evil was aimed at Amon Pellio.

“Because everyone is good, shouldn’t we cheer for them once in a while?”

His face, raised in shame, was wet with tears.

“… What if I support you?”

Pellio, who was looking down at his cousin like that, asked.

“If I cheer for you, what will happen?”

“Then we will all be happy.”

    "Us?"

“Not only me and that person, but also my uncle and my aunt… .”

Regina wanted to be at this time, so I strongly expressed my position.

“They both want me to be happy. To be happy, I have to be with the person I like... .”

In short, it was a story that everyone becomes happy only when they are happy with the person they love.

    'Oh my gosh… !'

Kara, who was listening next to her, was at a loss for words. one for a while. Kara hurriedly looked at Pellio. He was the master who raised me with my milk since I was a newborn baby.

    “…….”

It was clear what he was thinking, so Kara shut her eyes tightly.

Pellio did not avoid Regina's gaze staring at me. There was no reason to avoid it, and he was gathering his thoughts while staring at him. The conclusion was quickly drawn.

    'Okay, I think you... .'

    annoying.

Because he's annoyed in every case, he doesn't notice, he's busy and he's going to die, but he's always talking about vain things when he's just living his mouth. It wasn't that I didn't like it. In any case, they were nominally a family, and above all else, they were the same Boreotti, so they were beings within the fence that they had to protect.

So, Pellio never got angry with Regina, nor did he show his sincerity. It was convenient to pass on. Sometimes, he even accepted it by pretending to be stupid. Talking to a girl with a flowery head only hurt my mouth, so it was reasonable to just live like that.

But how are you trying to get out of the fence like that?

    “…….”

Pellio now faces the limit of my patience. It was this moment.

    “Kara.”

First of all, Pellio called Kara, who was unable to move.

“Tell Dad I’m going to say hello soon.”

    “Yes, Master.”

As Kara was on her way, she looked at Pellio and Regina anxiously.

    And after Kara completely disappeared.

    “Regina, you are family.”

Regina's eyes widened at Pellio's unexpected words. A heavy sigh escaped from his slightly opened mouth.

“No matter how annoying you are, the reason I left you alone was because you were a member of Boreotti.”

If it wasn't for that, you would have already left the world. Pellio didn't consciously say anything behind the scenes.

    “Pelio… .”

But his cousin sister didn't seem to mind.

“Then, can’t you cheer for me and help me, even just a little bit?”

“You want me to fall in love with a stranger you don’t know?”

    “Not a monster! That person… !”

Regina's voice, which was about to refute, gradually fell into silence.

    “What is that person’s name?”

    “…….”

    "Age is?"

    “I was older than me… .”

    “Where are you from?”

“I said knight, but it’s not Gladigo, so it’s either the West or the Capital… .”

Regina spit it out through my mouth without failing to explain why everyone was against her love.

    “Still, we love each other!”

But he stubbornly refused to admit it. Pelio looked at Regina like that for the first time, but with a very familiar gaze.

    “Then do it.”

    “… Huh?"

Cheers erupted from Pellio's mouth, who seemed to be opposed to it.

    “Do whatever you want.”

Even Regina, who was not aware of it, could feel that those words had no heart for me this time.

    "instead "

    And again.

“You’ll have to be prepared to go against Boreotti.”

    “… Why?"

Regina put on a wounded expression at the stern warning. Tears welled up in my swollen eyes again from crying so hard.

“Why, why is the story the way it is!”

Regina was embarrassed. It's just that I met the person I like and fell in love with it, and it's such a big sin that I've even been abandoned by my family. Why is everyone opposing?

    And why.

“… Why do you look like that?”

More than anything else, Regina was afraid of Pellio's eyes as if contemplating me. It was really the eyes that seemed to drive me out right away. I didn't feel anxious, angry, or frustrated like everyone else. there was nothing.

    “Hey, it’s family… .”

    Regina hurriedly grabbed Pellio's hand.

“You said you were family. But why do you look like that? Why are you trying to kick me out? Just to scare me... .”

“What’s the use of being scared?”

Pellio didn't even shake or hold Regina's hand that was holding me. He just said casually as if nothing had happened.

    “Even if you do.”

    The conversation was very cold.

“I don’t even listen to it.”

Pellio didn't want to nag or give advice to someone who didn't speak the language with a sore throat. There was absolutely no need to waste my efforts.

    “… Black!”

Regina cried. He covered his face with both hands and let out a sob full of injustice. It was not an act of sympathy. Regina just cried purely because she was so sad and sad about her situation.

    “…….”

However, that action actually cut off Pellio's last patience.

“You must be like the main character of your sorrow.”

Disillusionment began to appear in Pellio's tone, which had not yet been filled with emotion.

    “It’s literally just an illusion.”

Regina's face reddened with shame at the cold mockery.

“It’s the clothes you’re wearing, and now it’s a piece of jewelry.”

A snack or tea you would have eaten instead of refusing to eat. A blanket or handkerchief that would have wiped away tears.

    “Let alone… .”

Pellio deliberately raised the arm Regina was still holding. Long fingers brushed Regina's wavy hair.

“Even the perfume applied to the hair.”

    “…….”

“It was all given to me by Boreotti.”

Regina's affluent and leisurely life was a luxury that was possible because it was all Boreoti.

    “Does love make you happy?”

Pellio laughed openly at this absurd nonsense.

“That’s an illusion you can make because you’re living a life without what you lack.”

    “Not enough!”

    Regina cried.

“It was hard and sad for me too!”

    “What are you?”

“I, too, wanted to live with my father! But my father remarried to my stepmother and had a child with her.”

He insisted that he had given up something for the sake of his new family.

“Something like the fangs of a beast, I didn’t want either!”

    “…….”

“If I had known this would be the case, I wouldn’t even want to be like Boreotti… !”

Regina, who was constantly spitting out words that were close to screaming, said, "Oops." I hurriedly shut my mouth, but it was already too late. I got goosebumps on my own because of the overflowing emotions.

    "no."

    This is not the truth.

    “It’s not… .”

Regina tried to add a belated apology. However, my body hardened like a sheet of ice at the cold gaze looking down at me.

“You have no right to say that.”

I thought that Pellio would say that in front of me. I didn't think it was Regina's fault for not receiving the love of her parents. I never had any regrets.

    However.

    “At least you.”

A young memory that comes to mind right now touched Pellio's dull loneliness. Regina smiled while holding the doll her father gave her as a gift and reading a storybook her mother read. The space was bright and warm with a fire in the fireplace.

Pellio accidentally witnessed the scene while walking alone down the hallway holding the children's book he picked from the library with both arms. The space was dark because of the snowstorm.

“You shouldn’t say things like that.”

The memory of that day, which had now faded, was uselessly vague.

    * * *

    “It’s raining a lot.”

Kara, who came to check the futon, said looking out the black window.

“If you came one day late, it would have been a disaster.”

The rain that started to fall in the late afternoon soon turned to heavy rain and was pouring down hard. The weather was quite rare in the north.

    “Kara.”

Pellio was reclining on the sofa and reading a book.

“If you have something you want to say, say it.”

In the first place, Pellio wasn't even young enough to be looked after on the bed. So there was no reason for Kara to stay in the room for so long.

“What do you have to say?”

Kara just tapped the wrinkles on the pillow with her hand.

“It is time for Miss Regina to bow down.”

    “Bend… .”

    Felio scoffed.

“It would be nice if we didn’t start another riot tomorrow.”

    “The master is… .”

Kara asked, hiding her hands behind her apron.

“Do you not like the lady?”

“It’s possible if you like something you don’t like.”

Pellio turned the pages and answered in a dignified tone.

“I’ve never liked it, so there’s no way I can hate it.”

    “Whoa.”

Kara couldn't hide her sigh at the harsh answer that exceeded expectations. The two grew up together since they were young, and that long time seemed to be in vain.

“Can I ask what the two of you had a conversation while I was away?”

“I did what the nanny told me to do.”

Pelio gathered all his patience to convince Regina.

'Why would we keep quiet with such power?'

'Boreotti is a family with many secrets.'

'Contact with strangers you do not know must be respectful as much as possible.'

I tried to persuade him as calmly as possible. Of course, whether Regina accepted it was another matter.

    “He just walked away.”

    "young master."

Kara laughed bitterly. Even in such a situation, Pellio, who used such expressions, felt great. But this time, Kara couldn't take Regina's side.

“That’s how you develop your eyes to see people.”

Kara, too, had been seriously hurt by a human she believed to be love.

“Are you and the nanny the same?”

The nanny took care of the ex-husband himself.

“… Anyone who hears it knows it’s real.”

    Kara corrected it.

    “It was an accident.”

Garbage who came to Borreotti to ask for some money when he heard that he was working as a nanny. Still, he was a son and father, and Kara took care of the money.

“I drink as soon as I get the money, and then I lose the key, so it’s nothing more than freezing in front of the house.”

    “Where was the key?”

    “I picked it up.”

    in that human pocket.

“I was going to give it back.”

I was going to return it tomorrow, but what can I do? I hate to swear to the sky, but it wasn't because of the person's drinking habits and personality.

    “Because nanny is fun.”

“What’s so interesting about the story of a person’s death?”

He closed the book that Pellio was reading and yawned slightly.

    “Now, really sleep.”

It was at the moment when Kara was about to nag that it was late at night.

    "young master!"

An urgent voice looked for Pellio. After Kara saw Pellio getting back out of bed, he opened the door instead.

    “… Tra?”

Kara rolled her eyes in surprise. In front of the door stood a wet son with a pale face. Felio felt a strange omen and narrowed his eyes. Then, he quickly grabbed a coat and went outside.

    "no way… !”

Kara looked at my son in disbelief. Tra nodded her head in sorrow.

    “The lady is gone.”

The road to the Duke of Borreotti's office. Pellio quickly informed Tra of the situation.

    “Who do you know?”

“For now, it is me and Sir Ceres.”

    “How did you find out?”

“One of the gardeners went out to check the garden because of the heavy rain… .”

And Kara and Tra, ordered the two of them. Tra tells him to secretly arrest the gardener in the dungeon, and Kara tells him to go to Regina's room right now, check the inside, and then come to the office to tell Regina's presence.

    "young master… .”

    "Shh."

It was right in front of the office door. Pellio quickly organized my outfit. Then, she brushed her tangled hair with her hands and brushed it back.

    “Every decision.”

    Finally, upright etc.

    “The Lord will come down.”

    Pellio entered the office.

    * * *

    "father."

Pellio, who was polite, stared at his father, who was sitting at his desk. The middle-aged man, who seemed to see his future, roughly combed his tangled hair with his hands in his sleep. It was the same as what Pellio had been doing a while ago.

He is a person who feels like a stranger despite his bloodline, but Pelio was really awkward when he saw such a figure.

    “Regina is gone.”

Duke Borreotti was also informed of the situation while sleeping, so he was wearing a pajamas and a long robe. And next to it was Mono. Mono gave Pellio a brief nod in return.

“It was an urgent matter, so I ordered the gardener's recruits to be secured and locked in a dungeon.”

    “Did Regina check?”

    “I sent my nanny.”

Scared to speak, Kara visited the office.

    “The lady… .”

Kara said everything she had seen. It is said that the room was a mess as if it had been carried by a thief. Regina, of course, wasn't there, and clothes and things were messed up on the floor.

    'I used my head.'

    Unsurprisingly, Pellio sneered inwardly.

    “Is anything missing?”

At the Duke of Borreotti's question, Kara closed her eyes tightly and nodded her head.

    “All the debris is gone.”

    "Sigh… .”

With a long sigh, the peacock turned to look out the dim window. The rain was getting more and more violent, but fortunately the wind was calming down little by little.

“… What are you going to do?”

Pellio waited for an answer. The situation is now clear. Regina ran away and must have gone to an unidentified wandering knight.

    “Give me command of Gladigo.”

After a moment of deliberation, the Duke gave the order.

    “Proceed quietly.”

    "All right."

    "and… .”

    The duke assumed the worst.

“… If there are circumstances of escape, the search may be abandoned.”

    * * *

The search was fraught with difficulties. Although the wind had calmed down, the rain was still heavy. Since it had been raining since the afternoon, the muddy ground was a major obstacle to movement. Even in the middle of the night, it was difficult to secure visibility, and very few people were called out for the search.

Fortunately, some old traces were found near the forest not far from the mansion. Pellio lifted his head and followed the trail left by the wheel.

“… You went into the forest.”

The complexions of the knights, including Pellio, darkened.

    “Now the river… .”

    Mono muttered.

There was a large river running through the north in the forest. Although it belongs to the upper reaches, the source of the river is perennial snow, so the water temperature is cold and the water is deep. In addition, there was a record heavy rain in the Borreotti estate. No wonder the river overflowed.

    'Please don't.'

Mono went into the forest with Pellio and prayed earnestly. They hurried to follow before the rain washed away the trail. The end was a cliff. A long time ago, the river overflowed from heavy rain was roaring violently under the cliff that was created because the road was cut off when the ground collapsed.

    “…….”

    Mono shut her eyes tightly.

    "young master."

At that time, one of the apprentice knights offered Pellio something. It was a muddy shawl. The gray-haired knight who gave it to Pelio was familiar with it.

    “My name is Meles Levipes.”

    “Regina’s escort… .”

“Even though my skills were lacking, I often took on the role.”

    Meles bowed her head.

    "sorry."

“It is not for you to apologize.”

    "one… !”

    “It was also Boreotti.”

It's because he has a very strong impression on him, but he could do it if he wanted to, as long as he was ostracizing the knights.

    The situation gradually adjusted.

    “…….”

Traces of the wagon vanished from the cliff, beneath which a fast-moving river ran menacingly, and the shawl belonged to Regina.

    “It goes down.”

Pelio came down with the knights and searched the riverside. And soon after, they found a wagon stuck in the river.

    "Oh my gosh… !”

Someone let out a sigh close to astonishment. The carriage was in a state of being half-destroyed to the point where it was almost impossible to recognize its shape. If there was a person inside, it would never have been safe. But there was no one in the wagon. The two doors were wide open, swaying in the harsh current.

Pellio, who had been looking around the carriage and the surroundings without saying a word, opened his mouth.

    “The carriage is familiar.”

“It’s a rental wagon you can easily find in the North.”

“Lord Ceres, can you mark the location of this place on a map?”

    "Yes."

Hearing the answer, Pellio looked up at the sky. The dark clouds that covered the moon let alone the stars were still pouring rain. The wind, which had stopped during the search, began to blow again, and the eerie sound of the leaves hitting the leaves became clear little by little. The river was still overflowing.

    “… return.”

    The search ended like that.

    * * *

    “…….”

Loupe, who had been waiting in the mansion after hearing the news, was frozen as soon as he saw Pellio who had arrived. I swallowed dry saliva.

Pellio just stood there quietly. He didn't even take off his rain-soaked coat, he just looked down at the unknown ground with a tired and troubled face.

    “Pelio-sama… .”

At the sound of the call, Pelio slowly raised his gaze.

“Are you here with the Marquis of Pardus?”

“I arrived a little while ago. My father is watching the duke.”

Just then, Kara approached with a thick towel. They handed towels to those who came back wet in the rain, and told them to warm up quickly because they had warm water ready.

    “Hurry up, Master too… .”

Kara, who was worried about keeping her warm, was unable to speak.

    "nurse."

Pelio hid the muddy shawl he was holding in his hand with a towel.

“It’s late, so take a break.”

Then, after patting the weeping nanny on the shoulder, she went up to the office.

    'Really Miss... .'

Loupe, who was following him, had a dizzying headache.

'It is said that the young girl of Urmarity ran away from home.'

The telegram that arrived through the heavy rain was terrifying, but the Marquis of Pardus was not calm and was very attentive. On the contrary, it looked like it had gone very well. Loupe thought that such a father was really cruel, but on the other hand, he also understood that he was afraid of being like that. Especially considering Regina's unusual behavior recently.

    “Pelio-sama.”

    loupe asked.

    “Miss Regina, really… .”

    "loupe."

Pellio suddenly stopped walking and looked back.

    “Regina is no longer Borreotti.”

Loupe silently watched Pellio's face, noticeably exhausted.

“I went out on my own feet because I didn’t like Borreotti.”

Then there was nothing Pellio could do now. There was absolutely no reason to do anything. Perhaps this time, my father had the same thoughts as me.

    “Dead or alive.”

    “…….”

    “It’s not our business anymore.”

After saying those words, Pellio headed to the office. The sound of footsteps drenched in rain and the loud sound of rain hitting the window. If I listened a little more, even thunder rang out in the distance.

    dawn beyond the day.

The only thing that filled the chaotic night of the Boreoti mansion was the roar.

    * * *

the next morning. The torrential rain that fell all night ceased like a lie. Under the sunny sky, the Boreotti mansion also greeted the day as busy as usual. Boreotti was calm.

    Not yet.

“Have you seen Miss Regina yet?”

“Shh, Kara told me not to go near the room.”

    "Why?"

“You get punished. The master was very angry with the lady.”

    “Ah, with that knight… .”

Of course, those who knew what happened the night before were not like that. After breakfast, Pelio heard from Tra a report about the gardener he interrogated in the dungeon yesterday.

    “… therefore."

Pellio could hardly comprehend the report he had heard.

“The gardener had a crush on Regina, and he helped escape with the wandering knight?”

Pellio frowned and glared at Tra as if he had heard the dumbest sound in the world.

“Do you think this makes sense?”

    Tra just shrugged.

“Isn’t that what the human mind is?”

    “What is that?”

“I want to help because I like it, isn’t it something like that?”

    “Aren’t you crazy too?”

    "Yes… .”

Tra admitted meekly. He also felt that all of this was unrealistic. Anyway, thanks to that, I was able to keep my composure.

“The gardener seems to have gotten some money from the knight. In return, the two can meet secretly... .”

    "for a moment."

In an instant, Pellio's face changed seriously.

    “Did you arrange a meeting?”

“In my own words, it was out of the house.”

Pellio closed his eyes tightly, grasping the seriousness of the situation. If Regina and the wandering knight met inside the mansion, if an unknown stranger entered Boreotti.

    “What did your father say?”

“You said that you would go full-time to the master.”

Pellio built the arsenic. The pet you loved so much betrayed and ran away, and you left the rearing to someone else.

“I never knew today that you were so irresponsible.”

After a brief appreciation, Pellio summoned Loupe and ordered the carriage to be salvaged.

    “I am?”

    “Then you should go.”

    “No, I’m still Pardus… .”

    “Call it practice.”

After graduating from the academy, Loupe was going to become Pellio's secretary.

    “Oh, and.”

Pellio even gave orders to Lupe, who was bewildered.

“The carriage was an accident after one of the Boreoti users stole their belongings and ran away in the heavy rain last night.”

So take the gardener in the dungeon.

    “Kill it.”

    * * *

    “Did you hear that?”

A maid, famous for her cuboid, gathered her companions.

“Did I hear what Kara-sama said to the master earlier?”

A gardener stole and sold furnishings for a long time, but it was caught by a Gladigo knight who was on patrol yesterday. All the users were surprised by the maid's words.

    "crazy!"

    “That’s so brave… .”

    “So what happened?”

    “That’s what… .”

As if it were a great secret, the maid sighed.

“They ran away into the woods in a wagon on a rainy night, and were swept away by the river!”

The maid vividly described what she had been stealing, as if she had actually seen it. Rather than sympathize with the dead gardener, the workers complained that they deserved death.

“I knew I was that person.”

“Once upon a time over there, what was it… .”

“You mean that noise in the bar?”

Rather, he was busy remembering all the rumors about the gardener and cutting them down. It seems that the gardener had not had a good reputation in the first place.

And after a few days. A story hotter than the end of the thief spread quickly in the Boreo teaser.

“Miss Regina said she went to the West to recuperate!”

It was Regina's recuperation. Even the fact that they had already gone was a great shock to the users.

“How much did the master and his wife cherish the young lady… .”

    “Then why did this happen?”

    "like… .”

Someone couldn't finish the conversation, but I knew roughly what the words behind them meant. this was exile And the users guessed the reason to some extent.

“Well, that love will come true… ?”

“The owner was very angry too.”

“By the way, the lady has been in the room for the past few days, hasn’t she?”

I couldn't even do it with the person I love, but as a punishment, I go to a distant place for medical treatment.

    “It didn’t work.”

    "Yeah… .”

The servants sympathized and felt pity for Regina. And their reaction reached Pellio's ears.

“Everyone was surprised, but they seemed to understand.”

Kara handed me lukewarm tea and reported the reactions and mood of the users.

    “Good.”

Pellio, who was reading a book while half reclining on the sofa, got up and murmured.

Regina's recuperation, the gardener's theft. All of this was Pellio's plan. After being transferred to the search for Regina by the Duke of Borreotti, Pellio quickly decided to give up Regina.

It was a natural result. Regina caused a huge trouble to Borreotti. He created a gap for outsiders to approach Boreoti, and ran away, forgetting his duties and responsibilities as Boreotti.

Regina was reduced to the shame of Boreotti.

So Pellio decided to end Regina's existence.

Killed the gardener and cleared up any fuss in the middle of the night. He even manipulated the equipment ledger by hand. In order to conceal Regina's whereabouts as a medical treatment, a caretaker was sent to a villa in the western part of the country, and even a wagon with no one on it was sent.

    “Thinking out rats?”

Boreotti was checking all the current users.

    “Not at the moment.”

Kara nodded her tired eyes and answered.

    “Ummm… .”

Hana Pellio could not easily accept the result. In the first place, the inspection was conducted under the pretext that there might be an accomplice to the gardener's theft. There was a limit to finding someone who betrayed Boreoti.

In my mind, I thought I would feel relieved if I had to throw them all out.

    'Mother is caught.'

Although he was entrusted with the follow-up related to Regina, it was the authority of the hostess to hire and supervise the employees within the family. Now the mother was lying down in shock at the fact that Regina had disappeared. There was a moral problem in asking such a mother to give her permission to manage the users for a while.

    “… Are you tired?”

    “Not at all.”

Thanks to Kara, who was worried, Pelio barely drank the lukewarm tea he was holding in his hand.

    “Honey is good for fatigue.”

Even though it was vacation, he could not rest and was worried about him.

“If you have too much… .”

    "no."

Pellio emptied the tea at once and handed him an empty glass.

    “Just fine.”

Because Kara took into account Pellio's dislike for sweets, Pellio was able to drink tea with ease.

Contrary to Kara's wish for a little rest, Pellio continued to be busy until the last day of vacation. The most difficult of all was meeting Count Urmariti and kissing Regina.

The count, who had lost his daughter, was so exhausted that it was hard to see. Although he had already remarried his ex-wife's maid and saw the child again, he often came to see Regina when he had time. Young Pellio had secretly watched the couple's reconciliation moment.

    “Are you sad?”

So I asked without knowing. As Pellio, I couldn't quite imagine how it felt. Even if my family disappeared like Regina, I wouldn't be sad as if the world would collapse like that. Even now, rather than feeling sad that Regina disappeared, she only felt annoyance and a little bit of remorse.

    “It’s good to be sad.”

“The question is strange. Sorry for not being considerate.”

    "no."

    Count Urmariti laughed hard.

“Still, I hope that the Boreoti Spirit will not be aware of this pain.”

I don't think I'll know for the rest of my life. In the end, Pellio couldn't even offer a word of common consolation.

And the day before leaving for the capital for the opening of the academy. Pellio met the Marquis of Pardus outside, who had requested a meeting, and he heard an unexpected story from him.

    “You banned the investigation?”

    "Yes."

The Duke of Borreotti banned the investigation of the wandering knights from the beginning. Even when approaching Regina, even after Regina disappeared.

“The only instructions I gave were to stop the scandal involving the young girl Urmariti.”

There were no orders to aid the search. Pellio was amazing.

    “Have you ever eaten senility?”

You said you were just watching a stranger who might have approached your family?

“What does the Marquis think of this? Am I the only one who doesn't understand this situation?"

“How dare I be in a position to judge.”

“It sounds like you don’t want to get involved.”

The Marquis of Pardus did not dare deny Pelliot's sarcasm. He, too, was puzzled by the duke's decision.

    “Young-shik, I can’t do anything.”

Pardus moved only under the orders of the Duke of Borreotti. Without the Duke's instructions, the Marquis had no reason to move.

    “… okay."

At this point, there was only one thing Pellio could do.

“I can only hope that both of them are dead.”

“The body hasn’t been found yet.”

“Lupe salvaged the wagon and searched the area with the knights, but nothing came out.”

Even a shawl was found in the forest, but not a single piece of clothing came out of the river.

“I’d rather be happy if I can eat fish like this.”

    “Aren’t you sorry?”

    asked the Marquis.

    "who?"

Pellio, who was about to return, frowned. He didn't seem to understand the meaning of the question.

    “Your young girl, Urmariti.”

“The marquis will be more concentrated.”

Pelio laughed openly, telling him not to say anything that was not even serious. The Marquis shrugged.

Frankly, the Marquis did not sympathize with Regina. However, Pelio's reaction a while ago made me feel a little pitiful. Of course, that reaction was also Young-ae's own profit, so there was nothing I could do about it. No, on the contrary, the Duke and Duchess were the biggest sinners.

Pellio struggled through her bangs with her hands. The tired eyes were out of focus.

“The most pitiful person for this is Count Urmariti.”

“Aren’t the Duchess and Duchess also sad?”

    "Well… .”

The parents, who the son saw in person, were obviously angry and sad. However, it was closer to feeling betrayed by a pet who ran away without knowing the grace that he raised.

    'okay… .'

A living toy brought for family play. And he wasn't even that kind of toy.

    “… Whatever happened.”

The Marquis of Pardus smiled at Pellio, who was silent.

“You must have had a busy vacation.”

    "okay."

That summer vacation was just that for Pellio.

    * * *

The day Pellio graduated from the Academy as a top student.

Finally, the three Boreotti families got together.

    “What is a family?”

The son asked his parents, but there was no answer.

Two coffins in a dimly lit room. Pellio dragged a chair between the beds of the coffin where his parents were lying and sat down. The way he had his legs crossed was arrogant. However, the brooch on his chest was telling him that he was now the owner of Boreotti and the head of the North.

    the day before the funeral.

The son, dressed in a black suit, was the first to tell his parents what he had wanted to say for a long time.

    “At least not us.”

Perhaps because of the dark interior, a dark shadow fell on the face of the only son who expressed his thoughts in a low-key voice.

“As I was not a child to you, you were not a parent to me either.”

The Duke and Duchess of Borreott were killed in a carriage accident while traveling. Also on the day of my son's graduation ceremony.

Far from resenting Pelio, he was somewhat moved.

“You two must have been so special.”

He could have lived if he had used the fangs of a beast, but the duke didn't and died along with his wife. The condition of the body recovered later revealed that the Duke was holding the Duchess.

    “Boreotti was a pathetic family.”

The deceased grandfather followed the wife who went first, and I don't think even a father would make such a choice for his wife.

The mother was afraid of the power of Boreotti. As a result, she had little chance of encountering fangs, and she was the least immune to canine of any duchess.

'Father, you could have survived if you used the fangs of a beast at the time of the accident.'

However, if it did, there was a high possibility that the mother would die or be seriously injured.

    “… It's romantic.”

Pelio twisted one corner of his mouth at the self-talk that came out without me knowing. I hope words like this will come out of my mouth.

    “It also ends today.”

Pellio got up from his seat and offered two well-groomed flowers on top of the coffin. And I said my last goodbye.

“I have no grievances against you.”

It's been a long time since I've disappointed my expectations, can I hear such private feelings?

    “But I wouldn’t have a decent family.”

I have not seen and learned anything, and even less myself. Hana herself was now the only Boreoti, so she had to get married someday.

    “…….”

For a moment, I imagined myself marrying someone and starting a family with children. However, the abstract imagination was more vague than a dream, and on the contrary, it only made me feel strange. It was an illusion worse than a mirage.

    “Eat to your sleep.”

However, from now on, the image of himself living alone was a reality.

    The black beast was alone.

The first thing Pellio did as soon as he became Duke was to expel all the servants from the mansion. Even without a letter of recommendation.

    “Beach, no, my lord!”

And the only person who could put the brakes on this sudden move was Kara, the new duke's nanny. In fact, Kara was the only one.

    “You just came.”

Pellio was working in the newly renovated office. With the funeral of the ancestors of the duchess and the succession of titles added, there was a lot of work to be done.

“It didn’t come well! If you suddenly kick someone out like this... .”

“I didn’t throw them all out.”

“I kicked everyone out except me and Mrs. Felica.”

In fact, there were only three people left in this mansion: Pellio, Kara, and Mrs. Felika, a senior among the maids.

“Besides, you’re kicking out even the butler!”

    “I gave you money.”

    “That's not the problem!”

Considering the old butler's hard work for the mansion and family, he was about to argue that this could never be the case.

“From now on, the nanny is the butler.”

    “Yeah, I’m home… !”

Yeah? Kara, who had been arguing for a while, widened her eyes. I was so surprised that I opened my eyes so wide that they touched my glasses. Pellio, who was watching the nanny, said again.

“Now the nanny is the butler.”

“Excuse me, but are you sane?”

Kara asked, raising the glasses that had flowed down from the bridge of her nose. I was so startled that the hand that was fixing the glasses trembled. Even the words in my ears sounded like hallucinations.

“I am more sane than ever.”

“Master, I have no butler training.”

    “Then take it.”

Pellio arranged it neatly, saying that someone would be attached to it as soon as possible. Kara, who was forcibly promoted, was on the verge of passing out.

“And Mrs. Felica will be promoted to maid, so you two will hire people for yourself.”

    "master… .”

Kara, who was about to say something, finally shut her mouth. Apparently, this issue was not to be discussed easily here. And that wasn't the point right now.

“How did you write your recommendation letter?”

Sudden dismissal was also a problem, but not giving even a single letter of recommendation to those who quit was even more problematic. Letters of recommendation were very important when looking for a job in another aristocratic mansion. Because the letter of recommendation is proof of how hard the person worked at the previous job.

Pellio's reason for this was dignified.

“I don’t feel the need to give.”

    “…….”

“If you are really dissatisfied, the butler will do it for you.”

Even the title was completely changed from a nanny to a butler. Pellio still had his eyes fixed on the papers. In fact, he was so busy that he didn't even have time to raise his head.

    “…….”

Kara, who had been watching the owner silently, finally bowed her head with a sigh of resignation.

“It is not enough, but I will serve the master and the family with all my heart.”

    “I have high expectations, butler.”

At that moment, a faint smile appeared on Pelio's face.

“Now the housekeepers and users… .”

    "master."

As a butler, Kara dared to offer advice to her master.

“Me and Mrs. Felica will look after the mansion as much as possible and do everything in their power to do it.”

    “Yeah, that’s your job.”

    "no."

    Kara corrected it.

    “It’s the master’s duty.”

For a moment, Pellio had an unpleasant feeling.

I chose Kara as the butler because she was the only person in this mansion who could nagging me like that without hesitation. He was a precious being who could put the brakes on him right away if he did something ridiculous like today.

    “… Kara.”

As a result, one important fact was overlooked.

“Don’t nagging me about getting married already.”

“It should be done from now, shouldn’t it be done 10 years from now?”

That the nanny's worries are as big as the northern mountains.

“Now you are the only one of Boreotti. You will protect the family from generation to generation... .”

    I'll be back.

Pellio demonstrated the skill of listening to the pouring nagging with one ear and letting it out through the other.

    * * *

Although he unexpectedly inherited the title of duke, Pellio performed his duties without hindrance as if it had been originally mine. He didn't even know that the succession education he had received from a young age would be so helpful.

'You know the world, but you don't know.'

    really.

“… I don’t even know what the world is about.”

Pellio confessed my sincerity to the noblest woman in the Empire sitting in front of me.

“How could such words come out of the peacock’s mouth?”

    Crown Princess Tigria laughed.

    “Are you laughing now?”

    “Of course I will.”

Pellio dared not hide his displeasure, and the Crown Princess was laughing at such a duke to the point of madness.

“How can your face become so ferocious as the days go by?”

    “My face is the same.”

    “Then what is that?”

The place the Crown Princess pointed to was under a closet far from where the two adults were sitting.

    “Black, uh… .”

    “Ugh… .”

There, there were little siblings with blonde and silver hair, hugging each other and sniffling. They said that their mother had a guest, so they went to say hello, and a very scary-looking man stared at them as if they were going to eat them.

    “Monster, monstrous… .”

“Well, don’t worry… ! This older brother, Hib, I will protect you!”

    “Yeah, uh… .”

Pellio, who was looking at the two close friends, asked the Crown Princess.

    “You look alike.”

    Evex lapse.

    “Isn’t it cute?”

    The Crown Princess smiled brightly.

    “And a boy.”

“I’ll pretend I didn’t hear what you said a while ago.”

    “I can’t do that.”

    You are our second godfather.

    “This is also your grace.”

    “It was grumpy.”

Just seeing the Crown Prince at an exhibition event he had no choice but to attend was really annoying. But at that moment, Sir Ivex was there. He seemed to have come secretly because he missed his old lover. So Pellio arranged a meeting between the Crown Princess and Sir Ivex.

But I guess that arrangement would have given birth to a child. Even a boy.

    "Guys."

The Crown Princess beckoned the frightened children to come. While hesitating, the children managed to reach their mother's arms. Still, he didn't forget to hide his eyes so as not to make eye contact with Pellio.

    “Scan.”

A benevolent voice called out to the second son.

    “She is this mother’s benefactor.”

    "Yes?"

“It means being a good person. So should I say hi?”

The child frantically looked at the Crown Princess and Pellio in turn.

    “…….”

Then, courageously, he waved my hand and plunged his face into the Crown Princess' lap.

Is my face that scary? Pellio groped my face with his hand for nothing, and then stopped.

    “It won’t last long.”

    “Are you worried?”

“Now I have no choice but to do it.”

Otherwise, sparks could splatter all the way to the north. In that sense, Pellio warned.

“There is a limit to wrapping it with a skirt width.”

It might sound like someone saying that you shouldn't be fooled by other people, but Pellio's words were straightforward. There were two reasons why the Crown Princess raised her second child as a woman. In order to preserve the tradition of succession to the throne of the first, and to reduce the interest that will be poured on the second as much as possible.

“Is it because I want to be me… .”

The Crown Princess patted the children's faces once in a while and muttered sadly. For such a Crown Princess, Pellio was strangely unable to feel sympathy.

“… Even the peacock would know.”

The Crown Princess looked down at the children with benevolent eyes, who had their head cut on their legs before they knew it and were dozing off.

    “Am I a little dirty?”

    Pellio affirmed in silence.

“When the children are all grown up… .”

    The first is the emperor.

The second is the Marquis of Hesperi.

The moment when the two sons grow up safely and occupy a dignified position.

“I’m going to put my sword around his neck.”

You will surely see the blood pouring out of your throat like a fountain and vomiting your own blood foam on that disgusting face. And I'll watch it with my own two eyes until the moment I run out of breath.

    'It's a good thing.'

What's the fun of killing someone so quickly?

    Felio sarcastically.

    * * *

The emperor passed away. And the Crown Prince, who was desperate to become the emperor, became the emperor, and Pellio was stuck in the capital for three years.

Because of that, the northern part had to see a lot of damage. In particular, the increase in the number of monsters was a big problem because only the Gladigo Knights were able to hunt monsters without Pelio. However, this was not the only reason Pellio was displeased.

    “What did I believe in?”

Canis mumbled as she poured her drink.

The two had a drink together today to commemorate the end of the three-year tedious aristocratic meeting. I was reluctant to like one.

“I don’t understand more because Olor’s actions are unprecedented.”

    "exactly… .”

Pellio answered, passing the drink lightly.

The situation in the South was bizarre. On the blue sea, where sapphire whales have been guarding for a long time, the hideous red swan dared to sit on the water surface and pretend to be its owner. One thing Pelio finds even more strange than that.

    'Why are you still?'

It was the silence of Aust and Meridio, the real masters of the South.

    “What do you know?”

    Canis asked.

    “… Not at all."

Pellio put down his drink and said. Hana Canis did not believe it.

“Still, there will be no communication between the dukes.”

“The last time we met was 7 years ago.”

After the death of the former duke and wife. Pelio, who succeeded the title, had gone down south to meet the Duke of Aust.

' Our little beast is already a peacock.'

'If you don't use that little title ... . '

    'Would your grandfather be upset?'

'I'm already dead, so what's upsetting?'

The caring old lady treated Pellio as kindly as her grandson. Pelio recalled nostalgic memories from such a duke, even for a moment. That was all the conversation the two dukes had.

Each of them had great secrets, including mystical powers. For each other's safety, it was an old promise not to ask for anything other than the minimum, and not to make friends externally.

    “You will figure it out.”

Frankly, Pellio was not interested in the South.

“Aren’t you even annoyed by Olor?”

    "me."

    But it was annoying.

    Pellio was exhausted.

“If there is no damage to the North, I don’t feel the need to go out.”

In short, as long as the number of cases was caught, there was a willingness to properly temper them.

    "please… !”

Canis put her hands together and longed for Olor to catch Pellio's attention and leave the world.

    at that time.

    “Dad.”

A young child suddenly appeared, boasting of his toddler steps, and rushed inside.

    “Pinu!”

Surprised, Canis hurriedly took her son into her arms.

“Are you here alone? your sister?”

    “Sister, Koo.”

“Hey, did my son wake up too? My head is a mess.”

Canis was hand shaving the young son's hair. He even wiped the saliva from his lips with my sleeve.

    “…….”

Pellio looked down at such a close friend.

“Oh, did you just hear that?”

Canis' face, who had been suffering from political problems a while ago, was waving to the point of not being able to see it.

    “Yesterday my son said something!”

    “Did you do it now?”

“I started doing it yesterday, and I said it today!”

    crazy guy

Pellio's narrowed eyes went dry. What once was notorious for being the mad dog of the Knights of Reboo, has now become a family dog that is proud of its children.

'I don't think Vocal Nodules will be strange to me.'

He brags with a vein around his neck like that, but it wouldn't be strange if he vomited blood someday.

    “Besides, Whoopi is... .”

While Canis boasted of her eldest daughter, Pinu smiled and waved at Pellio. Pellio looked at me and admired Pinu's courage, who didn't cry.

“But when are you going to get married?”

    “You die.”

    “I want to marry you!”

Pellio wondered if the time had finally come to end his relationship with his one and only friend.

Even after that, Canis preached the greatness of family and the cuteness of children for a long time.

“It is truly noble to be a father.”

Of course, in Pellio's eyes, Kanis did not look very sublime. Rather, it belonged to the disgusting axis.

    “…….”

But Pelio simply listened silently. I was just tired, so I quietly listened to whatever came into my ears.

“… It's really cute! Why don't you believe me!"

    “Look in the mirror.”

does it look like you believe

    “Not me, but my kids!”

Canis vomited until the end at the back of Pellio's desire to return after hearing nothing.

“I’ll go play in the north with my father and the kids later.”

    “Welcome. Except for you.”

“If you cry like this, what are you going to do? .”

Pellio came out of Reine's mansion and got into the carriage.

    "Sigh… .”

At that moment, a sigh mixed with exhaustion managed to escape.

'If you go up north this time... .'

For several years, I was planning to stay in the North.

'Before the monster hunting, there was a blizzard, so I took a break then, I couldn't go hunting for the monsters in 3 years, so I'm prepared for a month.'

Busy in the North was the same thing, but I had no choice but to comfort myself that it would be much better than living in the capital.

    “…….”

Pellio stared out the window, which was passing quickly by without a second thought. Today, I saw a lot of family members on the streets.

'I think it's stuck in my brain.'

Hearing so much pride in Canis's children, it seemed that only those things could be seen.

'… That would be good too.'

Canis did as well. Pellio leaned his head against the window sill and closed his eyes. The wagon quickly left the street and arrived at the Boreotti mansion.

    “Master, are you here?”

After leaving the Gladigo Knights, Tra became the butler of the capital mansion. Now, his skill in meeting the master was quite skillful.

    “Ah, Duke.”

Loupe, who had just been looking for Pellio, approached.

“Have you been? As you said in the morning, go through the West Gate... .”

Loupe gave a brief report to Pellio and told him about the departure tomorrow.

    "no."

    Felio slowly opened his eyes.

    "Yes?"

Loupe, who was explaining the journey to the north, stopped.

"Do you have any problem… .”

Do you have any other schedules? Loupe asked, but Pellio didn't say anything, as if he was absorbed in his own thoughts. for a very short time.

    “Don’t go to the orphanage.”

Loupe's eyes widened at the sudden bomb declaration.

    "Yes?"

“I can just stop by in the name of sponsorship.”

    “Wait, okay? Orphanage?”

Loupe and Trana and others could not hide their bewilderment at the sudden decision.

“What happened to the orphanage all of a sudden?”

    “Don’t ask the obvious.”

He made an impulsive decision with a gentle voice, just like Pellio expelling annoying bugs.

    “Adopt a child.”

    * * *

    Leonie was Regina's daughter.

This fact surprised Pelio a little, but he didn't care much. The child did not resemble Regina at all. Rather, everyone who looked at him admired that his face as well as his personality were similar to Pelio.

After becoming a family with Leonie, a lot has changed for Pellio. The top priority became Leonie, and when I saw something delicious or good, I thought of the child first.

Leonie's chatter was nice to hear, and it wasn't bad to lean on my leg and whimper, and when the child was happy, I was happy too.

Even if I did something heartbreaking, let alone disappointment, I was worried first. No, I never felt disappointed. How could there be such a lovely existence just by being?

Of course, it wasn't always pretty. Sometimes it was so ridiculous that I wondered if he was trying to assassinate me by turning my lungs over. Today was just that.

    “Oh, I’m drinking alcohol!”

    Keep going, keep going!

“How long are you going to make me do the shoulder dance!”

    Look at my clavicle!

    “I’m bummed… !”

    "Noisy."

Unable to hear, Pellio pressed her finger on the cheek of her daughter-in-law.

    “￱.”

Leonie's lips protruded like a crucian carp while singing happily. The baby beast licked her eyes and licked her lips.

    “Wow! Whoa!”

    "what?"

    “Uh-huh!”

“You are seven years old and still speak… .”

    “Let go of this!”

Leonie, who had escaped on her own, screamed.

    “Don’t interfere with playing!”

The baby beast was in a state of anger to the very tip of his head.

“Your father is playing like a child, so you are playing with a big heart.”

    “What are you playing?”

My father, the wild beast, who was lying on the sofa and idling, wanted to seriously discuss this situation. Pellio got up completely.

“Leo, do you think playing with dolls is normal?”

The story of a woman who can't stand the person who treats her like a toy and ignores her, so she hides her pregnancy and runs away and gets caught. Even both were men.

“Did you think it was fun?”

    “You’re like my creative little bastard… .”

“Hey, why are you praising me like that?”

Leonie blushed and was shy. Pellio was deeply suspicious of the mental state of his daughter, who took this sarcasm as a compliment.

    “Leo, men can’t get pregnant.”

    “'Omega' can do it!”

    “What else… .”

“How can you rule the North with such a narrow mind!”

    Dorie Leonie scolded Pellio.

“But, I can understand that everyone has different tastes.”

The filial piety patted her father's hand and nodded her head. Pellio hated a daughter who was willing to understand me.

“That’s why you play dolls with your dad’s favorite drink.”

    “I like to drink quietly.”

“Ah, if it’s alcohol, it’s dance and singing.”

Leonie, who had risen from the sofa, suddenly thrust the doll he was carrying in front of Pellio's face.

“What’s the fun when you sip on your own?”

The doll shook her shoulder dance.

“Later, when I grow up, I’ll drink with you!”

“When are you going to grow up?”

Pellio made fun of him openly.

“Hey, wait and see. You'll be bigger than Daddy!"

“What if I don’t grow up?”

    “Oh, just go ahead!”

The creepy doll hit Pellio's face with a headbutt.

    * * *

Every moment with Leonie was a happy one. It wasn't the first time I was upset, but even that was an irreplaceable joy later on.

Pellio thought that there was no happiness beyond this for me, and that if I wished for it, it was greed without knowing the subject.

However, Leonie was a great filial piety than she thought. The child allowed me to find another happiness. But suddenly I was worried.

    "Leo."

So one day Pellio asked Leonie.

“Is it really okay if I marry Varya?”

“What do you think about the five-day annexation on the same topic?”

I'm asking a nonsensical question. Pellio was serious, but the child was picking his nose and sarcastically asking for a fortune if he had the mind to gossip.

“Why are you asking me to marry you?”

    “That’s you… .”

“Are you going to get hurt? Or will you feel sad?”

Pellio, who heard my concerns, kept his lips shut. Only then did Leoni realize that his father was seriously worried about me, and removed his hand that was fiddling with his nose.

    "Dad."

The child said as he gently rubbed his nose with his finger on Pellio's clothes.

    “It’s Daddy’s life.”

“The most important thing in my life, Leo, is you.”

    "no."

Leonie insisted not to say such a thing.

“Dad is very important to me too.”

We are precious because we are a family, a baby beast rarely reveals his candid feelings.

“But no matter how important and precious to each other, in the end, we each live our own lives.”

Leonie didn't want Pellio to sacrifice for me.

“Just because Dad loves Mom doesn’t mean that his worries and feelings for me go away.”

Nothing changed at all. It's just that Pellio's happiness is much greater. Leonie laughed.

“Dad deserves to be much happier than he is now!”

    “…….”

“So now, let’s live together with a pretty wife and a much prettier daughter.”

    “It’s crazy.”

Pellio hugged such a daughter tightly. Thanks to the child's body temperature with his arms wrapped around his back with a shy smile in his ear, Pellio realized a new fact.

    perhaps.

    He is more than I thought… .

    “…….”

    Pellio twitched his heavy eyelids.

    'When did you fall asleep?'

I was lying on the sofa to rest for a while, and it seemed that I fell asleep without realizing it. I think I had an old dream, but I can't quite remember it.

    "Dad."

When I looked down at the sound of the call, my eyes met the black eyes staring at me under the sofa. The corners of Pellio's lips loosened loosely.

    “Little boy.”

Pellio raised his upper body and sat down.

    “You should call me Grandpa.”

    “I am not a kid.”

Pedel, who had climbed up on the sofa, sat right next to Pellio. Pellio popped a strawberry milk-flavored candy into the grandson's mouth. Pedel's eyes twinkled and he shredded the candy.

    “But why are you here?”

    "Yes!"

Pedel remembered why he had come to this place belatedly.

    “Grandpa, we have to go.”

    "Why? Where?”

    “Uh, that’s a secret… .”

Pedel was bewildered, saying that it was impossible to say that it was a secret. The gentle impression became difficult and gradually began to turn into a cry.

    “Good for Grandpa!”

Pedel said confidently, spreading her short arms as wide as possible.

    “… Shall we go then?”

He got up pretending not to win, and then Pedel was relieved. Pellio had a rough guess as to why he was looking for me.

    "Believe me!"

    “The bluff.”

    It's like my mom.

Pelio came out into the hallway with Pedel in his arms. As I was walking with my grandchildren, I greeted everyone I met with a smile while passing by. And Pellio accepted their greetings simply by nodding his head. It would have been unimaginable in the past.

    Another surprising change occurred.

    "Come to think of it."

    Pellio said to Pedel.

    “The cat gave birth today.”

Now the animals did not get scared or run away when they saw Pelio. In fact, Pellio had brought a cat and kept it herself. It was a coincidence that he accidentally found a guy who was injured while on patrol, and now he is another member of Boreotti's family.

“Wow! I want to see you too!”

“Then shall we go see it with Uncle Lenny tonight?”

    "really? really?"

Pedel held out her little finger.

    "Appointment!"

    “Yes, I promise.”

Pellio also put out his finger and hung the ring. Pedel resembled his father, Scandia, and had an overall docile and calm impression. He was also patient and cautious. The only thing resembling my mother, Leonie, was black.

“Oh, Grandpa, do you know that?”

However, the shape of his mouth, his voice, and the way he chattered when he spoke reminded him of Leonie at that time. Leonie was also very talkative around this time.

“The car that my father used to give to my grandfather in the West… .”

    “Then our little one.”

    "Yes?"

    Pedel paused.

“What did my little one prepare?”

    "Huh… .”

The little boy's mouth was shut tight. Oh my, Pellio patted the back of his dead grandson. Seeing how the grass had died, it seemed that he could not make a decision after choosing and choosing a gift.

    “Everyone is here.”

Pellio stood in front of a door where familiar celebrities were gathered. and open the door

    phut-! Bang!

    "Voila! Happy Birthday!"

    “Honey, happy birthday.”

    “Congratulations, Dad!”

The waiting family congratulated Pellio by setting off paper firecrackers.

    “Surprised.”

Pellio smiled softly as he removed the paper pollen from his head.

    “Aren’t you surprised at all?”

Funny real, Beleani pouted her lips and groaned like a goldfish.

“Pedel! You congratulated your father on his birthday, right?”

Renius looked at his nephew of the same age with suspicion.

“I kept it a secret. Right, Grandpa?”

Fedel, who became disheartened, looked at Pellio.

    "okay. I didn't know anything.”

    “I don’t think so… .”

Pellio thought that his son's ferocious tone and suspicious look closely resembled his wife.

“Who does my son resemble so much that he is suspicious?”

    “Well, not!”

Renius shrugged and sat down with Pedel by the fireplace.

“What gifts did our kids buy?”

Beleani followed and sat down next to him.

“What gift did your little sister buy?”

“With the help of my sister, I prepared something okay.”

Whoops, look forward to it, Beleani was confident.

Beleani, who turned 16 this year, was attending the academy. The second son, who returned home from winter vacation, prepared high-quality ink for his father, who often writes in his diary.

“Hey, why do you need help from your eldest sister?”

“Is that my heart? If it's embarrassing, you'll get it too."

    “You can’t be fair!”

The youngest, who was arrogant for nothing, ended up biting his pink hair by his younger sister.

    “Did you sleep?”

Varya noticed that Pellio's dark hair was slightly pressed, and gently combed it with her hands.

“I’m a little sleepy to take a break.”

“What if I fall asleep tonight?”

“My wife is going to sleep tonight.”

Varya's eyes fluttered lightly at the subtle teasing.

    “Smiling.”

A smirk spread across Varya's face, who said that she had only gained weight by the night. The couple, who are still good friends, are seated opposite the fireplace.

“By the way, what about Leo and Scan?”

Pellio found the two who were not there.

“They are still being examined by a senator.”

    “Your sister is great too.”

Beleani, who had been tormenting her younger brother, exclaimed. In the meantime, Renius ran behind Pellio's back and whispered in his ear. My little sister is bullying me.

“I must have gone on a monster hunt with a pregnant body.”

Leonie's pregnancy was revealed not long ago, during a monster hunt.

    'Do you think I'm pregnant?'

The fangs don't come out well.

Beleani, who went on a monster hunt together, felt for the first time the meaning of his father's habit of saying, 'I feel like my lungs are going to turn over'. It was so ridiculous that I couldn't even laugh. In the end, Leonie had to get mad at Pellio throughout the hunt, and when he came back from the hunt, he got mad at Scandia too.

“I’ve never seen my brother-in-law shout like that.”

Usually, it's really scary when a good person turns away, but Beleani recalled that it was just that.

    'Hey! Am I pregnant alone!'

Of course, Leony also didn't have a normal temper, so I immediately countered it.

“When are you going to grow up, Sister?”

Beleani shook her head, saying that she really couldn't dry it.

    “…….”

    “…….”

And the second one, Pellio and Varya looked down on them with betrayal. Considering how much she suffered because of that filthy second, the first was the filial piety among filial piety.

    “Uh, is everyone already gathered?”

    "Forgive me for being late."

After examining, Leonie and Scandia entered.

    "mom! Dad!"

    Pedel ran over and cried.

    “Oh, my pretty son!”

With her hair short, Leonie spread her arms out toward her son who was running towards him.

    "guy."

However, it was unsuccessful when Scandia intercepted her son.

“You can’t jump into your mother and do that.”

    "Why? Is mom sick?”

“There is a younger brother on the ship, so be careful.”

Scandia clasped Pedel with one arm and sat down with the other arm wrapped around Leonie's waist.

    “Oh, my dear Dad.”

Leonie hugged Pellio lightly and kissed the cheek.

    “Happy birthday from my heart.”

He then placed the hat he brought with him on his head.

“Elder sister, is there really a baby in the boat?”

Renius asked, stealing the cone hat from his father's head.

“But why aren’t you fat? I saw in a book that when you have a baby, your belly gets really big.”

    “It will grow over time.”

Leonie said, tapping the bridge of Renius' nose with his hand. The youngest, feeling embarrassed, hid his face in his mother's arms.

“What do you mean by senator? Are you okay?”

    Varya asked.

"Of course! Both me and the baby are healthy.”

“Ugh, do you know how worried I was?”

“Mom is not worried about it!”

    “This really pisses me off.”

    Pellio clicked his tongue briefly.

“I don’t think we can live up to my name thanks to you, Leo.”

“You will live a long life because you eat a lot, so don’t worry.”

Leonie smiled and announced a present to Pellio.

“A masterpiece was born again this time.”

Since childhood, Leonie has prepared letters and croquis as gifts for Pellio's birthday.

“Isn’t it nice to be congratulated by the eldest daughter?”

“I almost fell before the celebration.”

Leonie covered her ears with both hands at the constant nagging.

    “Scan.”

Pellio called out his son-in-law with a sigh.

“As my sister says, there are no divorces in our house.”

    “Yes, don’t worry.”

"what? Why are you both making friends while swearing at me?”

    Leonie growled.

“Come on, are you all here now?”

Before it got any louder, Varya told the family.

“I’m going to leave the day before I even celebrate your dad’s birthday.”

It was. Today is Pellio's birthday. He usually dislikes crowded and complicated banquets, so on his birthday, he had a small celebration with his family. Eat delicious food. Open the prepared gift.

However, the most popular among them was reading Leonie's parenting diary written by Pellio together. Pelliot used to tell him to read when he died, but now his parenting diary has become a must-read for the Borreotti family.

    “Stop reading.”

In fact, the person in charge of the diary was ashamed.

    That'll be it.

“My sister is lucky to meet me whenever I read what my father wrote.”

“I’m going to cry, I’m going to cry!”

The younger brothers made fun of them as if they were waiting. Others laughed while reading their parenting diary, but Leonie always shed tears.

“They don’t know how scary they dare to go.”

Leonie threatened the two flirtatious brothers.

Leonie finally succeeded to the title of duke, which he had longed for three years ago.

    “Hey, you should be straight.”

Beleani clicked her fingers and clicked her tongue.

“I was given the title of duchess, but my housekeeper is still my father.”

"that's right! Daddy is the boss.”

    Renius nodded eagerly.

“But my mother is stronger, so my mother is the captain.”

    “Oh, that’s it again.”

Leonie only sighed deeply at the fuss of her younger brothers.

“Dad, read to me that my eldest sister had to rest in a blanket!”

“No, secretly sneak into the Knights Templar, steal alcohol, and read about your fainting.”

Recommendations continued, but only three very short sentences were opened by Pellio.

    “Pedel.”

    Pellio called his grandson.

“Would you like to read it?”

    Pedel tilted her head.

“As a gift to my grandfather, I would like Pedel to read his diary.”

    “Is that okay?”

“It will be a wonderful gift.”

Pedel smiled brightly and looked at her parents. It meant it was okay, and the two happily nodded their heads. Pellio placed his grandson comfortably on my thigh.

    “Sister, are you crying already?”

    “Hey, it’s luck!”

    “These rats are real… !”

Leonie sniffed in anger at the teasing of her younger siblings.

    “Pedel, read on.”

Scandia said, wiping her eyes with a handkerchief.

    “It’s naughty.”

Varya's voice, who was quietly holding her husband's hand, was slightly wet. Pellio just smiled as he kissed his wife's cheek.

There was no malicious intent whatsoever. What are you going to do with your eldest daughter, who is grown up at this age? But today, strangely, I wanted to remember the memory of that day. It was just that.

The moment when the firewood in the fireplace burns with a crackling sound, and the family gathers together to celebrate their birthday. Pelio was no longer lonely. There was no room for loneliness.

Because these unfamiliar smokes became a natural part of my daily life and completely filled my gaps.

    “Leo… .”

    Soon Pedel read the diary.

Following the verse the little beast read, the scenery of that time flashed back and forth in Pellio's mind.

    * * *

    x month x day

    Leo called him Dad.

    The world has changed.

    It was beautiful.

Leonia is the daughter of the Duke's cousin who runaway from Berotti when she was a minor. Her name was Regina. So basically they are niece-uncle

Leonia was reincarnated in a book call Varya an the beast or something like that. The strory doesn't mention much about her past life other that she had a normal family and also was a muscle pervert. In the original book Leonia doesn't exists the main characters are the duke and Varya.
Varya is her future stepmother who loves her very much

In the case, as mentioned in other spoilers, she marries Scan.
He is the son of the empress who disguised herself as a princess.
