I was looking at the past reviews I wrote to find a novel I read halfway, and I noticed changes in the way I wrote reviews as well as my taste in stories. (13 year old me was into reverse harem and now I can say that's not the first thing I'll look for in a novel...) this made me look at my account to see when it was created, and looked and behold, it was when I was 13 I remember kind nuffers reminding me to hide my age because it's not safe online so, how many of you were still minors when your account was created? assuming you're currently of age I hope I'm not asking anything bad
My genre taste hasn’t change much. I still love Isekai. As to age I was in my 30s when I got here. Lol
15-16 years? When my english isn't quite good and I don't get solicit to get into creepy, dark places. Yeah, my internet was shitty at that time and most of the info about the world came from this very same place. So, this place basically raised me to be an edgy, fucked up man who becomes knowledgeable in the art of 'Culture' and now becomes a lazy unproductive writer. When I first turned up here, I was motivated, innocent on the internet and believe that I can spread faith of god and even produces 4-5 chapters per day.
18 years old. Taste changed rapidly at first as I acclimatised myself to the scene but then only ever changed a little.
I was what? like 16 when I made my account. I wouldn't say my taste changed as much as my tolerance for low quality decreased alot. I still browse the same genres I did back then but I just have very little patience for low quality novels now.
I used to read a shit ton of isekai but now I've cut back on it. Also noticed that I used to leave mroe reviews. Now I only leave a review like once every few months.
I made this account when I was 17 (already a major?) And I did change my taste but a little. I used to read only chinese fantasy (wuxia xianxia xuanhuan) in here.
I'm like @unlucky, I still like what I liked but I now have very low tolerance for bad quality stories. the biggest change from when I started would be that I used to never drop stories once I started but now I have no problem doing so; much better to drop than to be irritated and grumpy because I hate what I'm reading.
Ah, I remember my first light novel to be Mushoku Tensei... How time flew by... Glad to say I have better tastes now

I had such a phase too lol ah yes, I feel like I'm more picky now I think 17 is still a minor, I think 18+ is adult age my first light novel was either sword art online or tales of demons and gods... my tastes have changed though I still go back to such novels occasionally older people prefer stability -some quote from a manhwa I read
I was lurking around other website loke baka tsuki before finding NU in my mid 20's. The main thing that has changed is my tolerence for bad mtls. Back then I would force my brain to auto correct the mtls now I dont waste the time or energy.
Ngl I am still a minor.... Eitherway, I've been on NU for around three years and all I can say is that my taste did change quite a bit. I read all those shoujo oneshots until I couldn't find any new ones. Now I'm reading novels that are around 100~200 chapters (?) and I can pretty much read every genre
I made mine when I was 14, but I had already stalked the site for a good 5 years so very much a minor lol......I still am (^ω^ My taste hasn't changed too much I don't think, I'm definitely reading a lot more horror and political (power fighting) novels in comparison to my ancient/cultivation 9 year old taste, but I still don't mind reading those if they're written well. Harems have always been a hard no for me, and if the MC is an idiot they shouldn't exist imo I am fine with all the genres as long as the MC has only 1 final love interest and isn't the reason for all his problems tho. Basically, if it's written well I WILL end up reading it ｡^‿^｡

I think my taste was trash back then and it is still trash to this day, so nothing much have changed there really... And I was way past being a minor before this place even first came into existence xD
be safe online oh yeah, shoujo oneshots, I remember reading those akuyaku reijou stories a lot so you're fine with all genres except harem! and damn you've read webnovels from a very young age! when I was your age I read stories on wattpad...
