In our apartment the landlord's family and one of our neighbors in the same flat have gotten themselves kittens. Now I don't know why but those two always come to our house and play, its like their secret meeting place. Their owners are a bit jealous I think, they come knocking like 2 or 3 times per day to retrieve their kittens. We've always had cats in our family and its usually my mother and me who take care of them. So we've learned how to care for cats, how to tell what they want, how much space or affection to give them, how to hold them, etc. I'm assuming they pamper the kittens too much? They're really smol and cute and soft, you just wanna hold them forever. But they defnintely aren't gonna like that. I only pet them when they come close to me so they've probably figured out they can come to me when they want pets but don't need to worry about being held hostage for the next 20 minutes. So now they're sleeping in my bed every night. Its kinda nice being seen as like the animal person, but I wouldn't blame them for hating me for hogging all their kittens' love. Anyway, I just felt like bragging, how many times in your life do you get the chance to be loved by small animals so much that they leave their owners for you? Its like stealing someone's girlfriend, except its their pet.
Bragging time~ My cat swatting the rest of my family's hand but not mine~ even when catching my hand, he tuck his nails (we never cut their nails, nope, didn't bother doing that. Let them sharpen their killing tools)
Exactly, you treat them normally and not excessively. good for you and good for them. You are probably their therapist... Too many people forget that pets aren't their dolls...
When cats are in heat they tend to be more clingy :'D they bother me 24/7 to pay attention to them and they would disturb my sleep to just sleep besides me and my blanket.
Oh, I think I can understand that feeling of animals approaching on their own accord. I went to a husky cafe in Thailand with my friend a few years ago. I was not as enthusiastic as my friend because I'm more of a corgi person. So I sat under a tree while my friend went to chase after the huskies. To my surprise, two of the huskies went to rest beside my feet and stayed there XD I guess they got tired of people chasing after them.
