Here’s the thing, Derek really wants to help but he is just a mere vassal taking care of a commercial area called Carodia . He basically said that anyone who disobeys the duke (aka sending supplies etc) is likely to be removed from his post. Maxi leveraged on this statement. She promised that when her father dies, if Derek was removed from the position, she’ll make sure to return him to his post. Derek did it. And then Maxi and Hebby came out of the barracks. I hate to be that person, but I fear that the ending will be rushed and all the things/buildups will be solved way to quickly, that sort of "everything went smooth for our heroes that used the power of friendship and then they lived happly ever after". That would be very sad, but seeing how the chapters are getting super short I'm starting to get nervous
It is called under the oak tree, I still believe we would need to see more aspect regarding the story of the oak tree. It's quite frustrating how short the chapters are when we are anticipating that the novel is about to end. There are still so many areas which needs to unfold 1. Kuahel Leon's staring at her like a rare animal ( is he sensing a different mana on her ? is she mixed blood? is she a nymph?) 2. Ritch's theory on her being the Roem direct descendant and everything in between 3. The inheritance of Duchy 4. her much awaited reunion with Rosettal 5. her use of golem magic ( yes she somehow has used it already by switching the flow of magic in golem of monster city but i am anticipating more. Golem magic was used by Secto right?when all of them was hallucinating in the dragon subjugation thanks to Ruth who is awake? somehow it will happen again right? of course maxi has to show off her badass wizard power 6. Riftan's family background? his knight father, why is he so special and strong? What if the side effect of monster blood which Ruth used to save him? 7. how they will use the special sword? i forgot the name? who will be the one to wake its power? 8.The pregnancy. somehow it should be focused on also since her mother had a difficulty , plus her miscarriage. 9. how will Riftan get off being King Reuben's vassal? he cannot fight war and keep roaming around Robiden forever LOL, (king rueben's power abuse) 10. The SIDE CHARACTERS!!! Ruth and Agnes and the Uncle Knights!!! 11. I somehow also wish that different race like good wizards and Annette's race can live freely again in the continent, not isolated. Maybe KSJ is rushing these few chapters to get to the interesting parts of the book. Just a guess. We should have faith in KSJ to finish the Book 2 with a conclusion we all can enjoy KSJ and us readers. If not and we don't like the ending, well we can cry about it and share our sadness if that happens.
