Are there anime that you have seen and really liked, but 90% of the time when you tell someone about it, its not that they don't like it, they straight up never heard of it?

    I remember
Now and Then, Here and There (1999)

But most people I know they have never heard of it.

I watched these a while ago
    Bungou Stray Dogs
    Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens
    And Banana Fish

I liked all of these, but I have no clue if they're well known or not... though my friends usually never heard of them, so that's what I'm basing this on! Also Boku no Pico is a real gem go watch it <3

    Starship Trooper Roughnecks

Ah. Golden Boy. Now that was a great anime.

Alternative title for my entries: FEELING OLD YET?
    Ghost Hunt
    Saiunkoku Monogatari
    Hana Yori Dango
    Daa! Daa! Daa!
I'm not sure but I think I liked Marmalade Boy?
    Cheeky Angel
I want to say FMA but a remake came out if I remember right?

I can't believe that a generation had come wherein they hadn't heard or wouldn't appreciate even one work of Studio Ghibli and CLAMP because the "artwork is old school and cringey" like??? Have you really looked at the illustrations of Ghibli???? I'm dyinggg.

That was kind of a heavy show though with the subject matter of rape and all.

Yeah love that series too, especially in a reverse trope that the best pilot gets power creeped, Shima is physically incapable of using the newer KTs so she's stuck flying a Bianca training craft for most of the show.

Assuming it's unpopular enough to call it a hidden gem: Shinsekai Yori. Most people drop it before it becomes good, unfortunately. [While the novel is the best version and the manga sucked.]

That one's a bit of a strange one for me. Twice I started watching it, twice I stopped on the episode 11 for no particular reason. I wasn't even growing uninterested, quite the opposite, in fact
But it definitely has a different vibe, at least when compared with the ones I usually watch, and I personally recommend it

As for hidden gems, I'm not sure how well-known these are, but I would say Grand Blue and Genshiken. I had never heard of any of the two, but they sure cracked me up

    Rokka no Yuusha
(Base Premise is that the goddess selects six heroes to defeat the demon king, quite a cliche. But the twist is that there are seven heroes. Each with the possibility and ability to be a true hero. Cat and mouse game throughout the series and actual characters that are memorizable. To this day I remember the rough character of the seven main characters.)

    Hai to Gensou no Grimgar.
(I've heard that fans prefer the novel as the anime butchers some characters but if you want a relaxed time with music, beautiful scenery, and some fantasy adventuring then it is the right one.)

Kabuki Bu is really good. It's a slice of life and introduction to the ancient art of Kabuki. Unfortunately, some people might find it to be slow.
