I personally think a big gift at the start is overkill, and feels smothering. But how she feels it the important thing, and you said she is giving you something? Maybe bring a smaller plushy or cute thing that can easily fit in her purse or pocket.
Yeah, plushies, spraklies whatever works. Just be sure to keep extra pocket money on hand and tell whoever is dropping you to drop a bit earlier than the girl. Don't have your parents drop you infront of the girl.. a boy too has to keep his pride XD. Ps: spend more on the date than on the gift, at that age the present joy outweighs any meaningful gifts.
