I have a bunch of tiny text files with story concepts but I just can't write anything I feel is good enough to publish. Help....
Start with short stories. Build up a beginning, middle and end. And then let it go. Move on to another short story. New world, new characters, new idea. As you write more and more, the more and more you will write. I know that sounds stupid, but like any skill, it takes practice and work to get good at it, develop a style and work out your rough spots. Short stories give you the accomplishment of having it done! A way to get over your writer's block. To play with characters and ideas. And there's no reason you have to save an idea for a certain story. A lot of famous novels started as a short story they published years ago that the author then re-wrote and expanded upon. Basically, go write something.
The one above said it well. Many people in the beginning are like this. All you need to do is to write and have confidence in yourself and your ability to write stories. Also don't try to compare your stories with others that you find on the internet, since most of them are published and polished over months and years before actually getting a decent view count. So just go for it and have fun along the way. Good luck.
By writing a lot of stuff that isn't publisheable and getting constructive criticism from someone that knows how to write or reads a lot themselves.
Have you read invisible dragon? That’s publishable and many have actually read it… so just continue writing
