    Summary (mtl):
Possessed by a novel of devastating regrets.
My role is a villain who has a crush on her husband, a man who regrets.
She is just a fake wife to hurt the woman who was a slave.
“It seems that your head is not spinning because your thoughts are short?”
I don't want to live being despised by my affair husband who talks like this!
    “I’m getting a divorce.”
    I decided to escape.
Now I have to do the business I want to do and live happily while earning a fortune.
He was living a comfortable life by borrowing money from the money he received after divorce, including alimony.
I hear the news that my ex-husband has abandoned her.
Well, to be honest, it doesn't seem like I know anything?
    “Don’t reunite. It's my fault."
No, and why are you hanging on?
    ***
There is something strange about the man who picked it up and used it as a bodyguard.
    I wonder if he's a sub-man in the original?
"I heard your story. You said you were playing with this guy and that guy."
That's the story of the owner of the body before I possessed it, but... … .
    Well, maybe.
Is it the repertoire that goes to the female lead when she says she is disappointed?
"Why? Do you find it disappointing and even contemptible to hear about it?"
However, he shook his head and rested his cheek against my palm.
"No. I wonder why you don't play with me..."
    … … huh?
    What is he talking about?

    • Chapter 14
My ex-husband, who was so obsessed with image, grabbed my wrist roughly in a public place.

I'm not weak, but I'm not strong enough to compete with Oscar's strength.

I tried to twist his wrist to pull it away, but eventually I couldn't stand the contemptuous tone and almost chewed up my words and spat them out.

“If you don’t let go right now, I’m going to scream.”

But Oscar just snorted. The burning eyes that seemed to make a crackling sound were delicious.

I couldn't help but be astonished.

My God, I never thought I would go this far without thinking about the future.

Where has Oscar Credwell, who was so obsessed with the public's opinion, gone, saying he would rather pay a huge amount of alimony than reveal to the world the existence of an adulterous woman?

Did I misinterpret Oscar's character? No, not really.

After becoming possessed, I continued to see Oscar in person. How much did he study? Before being possessed, he read novels avidly.

Of course, Oscar yells at people of lower status than him, but it's more like abuse of power or hysteria.

The only time he shows this 'top money' side is in front of Serwen. Seeing such a dangerous situation is not Serwen's privilege, but a privilege.

I was momentarily unable to cope with the discrepancy between my interpretation and Oscar's appearance.

      He growled lowly.

"sound? Scream! What do you think people will think? Between you and me, do you think I will trust you?”

      Oscar's fast-talking voice was thick.

“You might think I came to pick you up because you did something wrong. “This is the trust capital accumulated in society, you stupid bitch.”

      He grabbed my wrist.

“Go home. Because I have something I want to ask. “How are you going to compensate for the loss caused to me with 50 million Akron?”

“Let go. “I told you to deduct it from alimony!”

“That’s not an acceptable answer. “You’ll have to stay at home until you convince me, Marlena.”

When it seemed like I was on the defensive, there was even a hint of joy in Oscar's voice.

I couldn't help but think of the description in Portrait of Green Water.

      Oscar has dangerous tastes.

But it wasn't the time to be preoccupied with that. A flash of thought came to mind about the rental safe.

      no!

Cold sweat ran down my spine from the sense of crisis.

Oscar will make me suffer completely if he takes me away.

He is determined to give back to me even more than the stress he received from me.

Will I be satisfied in one day or two? … . Or, will I be satisfied if I hold on to it for more than a month?

If it takes a long time, it's a big problem. This is because the contents of my rental safe are destroyed after 6 days.

I felt dizzy and kept my mouth shut.

How do I overcome this situation?

I had to use my brain as quickly as possible, but it wasn't easy because I didn't have much time to spare. If this continues, I'm really going to get dragged in. It's too late if you get dragged away.

It was then. A long, large hand came up and took Oscar's hand off my wrist.
    • Chapter 33
“Are you afraid your reputation will suffer?”

This question from me, who was called the capital's bastard, must have had special weight on Katarina.

She couldn't hastily confirm or deny it.

      "Answer me."

Katarina, who hesitated for a moment at my firm attitude, nodded honestly.

A sigh of relief came out.

I understand because she has a lot of pride. It would be better to be honest like this.

Katarina tried to avoid eye contact. Without giving up, I grabbed both of her cheeks.

So that she can't help but look straight into my eyes.

“Do you know what you have to do to not be ignored by anyone even if you take on a funny role?”

      Katarina's voice trembled in confusion.

      “I don’t know, Director.”

I lightly gave strength to the hand holding her shoulder.

      And he spoke clearly.

So that each syllable, each syllable, would sink into Katarina's ears.

“You just have to do it proudly, Miss Blanche.”

      “… … .”

“You just have to do very well. “You just have to do overwhelmingly well.”

      “Director… … .”

“Miss Blanche is hesitant and shy, isn’t she? Then, that’s when you become a laughing stock.”

      Katarina's eyes wavered slightly.

“Do it proudly and do well. Do you understand? “What I’m saying is, use your momentum to crush those who try to ridicule you.”

I let go of the shoulder I was holding tightly.

And I concluded what I was saying like this.

“Show it to the people. Katarina Blanche is ‘perfectly good at even these things.’”

      ***NOTE:
Katarina was the previous prima donna at Oscar's theater that exclusively produces romance plays, casting only the most beautiful actors and actresses. The play MC is directing is Pinocchio, and Katarina will star as the wooden boy, Pinocchio.
    • Chapter 40
Dylan told the story of how Loche sent Oscar back.

The story of how my trash ex-husband was so frustrated with his actions that he went on a rampage was refreshing.

It just doesn't match Loche's often shy face.

As I said before, to me, he's just a puppy wagging its tail.

      “Count, everything is finished.”

      “Okay, good job.”

After finishing setting up my hair, I got up and knocked on Loche's door, which was the room next to mine.

      “Loche.”

      The answer came right away.

      “Yes, Count.”

The door opened incredibly quickly, as if it had been running in one step. I looked up at him happily and stroked his cheek.

“I heard you kicked out one person?”

When I asked with a smile, Loche also smiled faintly.

      Ah, it's amazing.

I didn't raise it, but I often feel this way.

I asked, slightly tilting my head as I wanted to make Loche boast about his performance.

“Can I come in and listen to the conversation?”

Instead of answering, Loche slightly turned his body to clear the way.

I entered Loche’s neatly organized room.

I sat down on the couch as if it were my own room, took off my slippers, and stretched out my body.

In front of Loche, I feel more relaxed than usual and often take a comfortable posture like this.

I rested my chin on the armrest and smiled, rolling my eyes.

      “Tell me something.”

“You already heard from the butler.”

“What I hear from you is different.”

Loche, who was looking at me with his hands on his back for a moment, pulled a chair in front of the desk without saying a word.

He sat across from me and started talking softly in a pleasant voice.

I know all this from Dylan, but strangely I liked hearing it from Loche.

I'm just talking about what happened calmly, without much dramatic exaggeration.

I listened to Loché's story while holding a cushion.

“… … And Duke Credwell ran away like a scoundrel.”

      “Ahahaha!”

When I reached the last part, I couldn't help but laugh.

Loche's choice of words is also the same, and the expression on his face when he pronounces the word 'crazy scoundrel' is funny.

He had a rare, truly contemptuous look on his face.

I laughed for a while and then looked at Loche with tears hanging at the corners of my eyes.

Our eyes met at once. Loché must have been watching me pat the cushion and laugh.
    • Chapter 54
      “Let’s go home, Marlena.”

Oscar looked at me with deep eyes and said that.

      Ugh.

Oh, wait a minute. Sudden physiological vomiting.

I tried to suppress the feeling of something rising in my esophagus.

I don't know if I managed my facial expressions well.

I don't have the energy to do that because I'm suppressing the vomiting.

no… … I thought he was a pretty smart guy, but why is he so incapable of learning?

Nothing has changed since when I asked for a divorce and he immediately tried to kiss me.

Why do you insist on the original pattern so much?

      It was truly amazing.

      'no way… … .'

A thought flashed through my mind.

'Because he's the male protagonist of the novel?'

      It was a horrifying guess.

Oscar Creedwell... … So far, everything I've done since I received the corrections for the male lead in the novel must have been successful.

      Everything in the first attempt.

So, second attempt, third attempt... … Wouldn't that mean there was almost no chance of doing something like this?

Is that why it's like this?

'In the end, because the main character was corrected and everything turned out well, did he look smart?'

I looked at Oscar with a serious expression.

      'Actually, I'm not that smart... … ?'

      With reasonable doubt.

Well, even if Oscar isn't a smart person, I can't relax.

As I remained silent, Oscar attacked me again.

      “Malena.”

Ugh, can’t you be so friendly and not call me by name!

It seems like all the hair on the back of my neck is standing up.

      greasy!

      Not attractive!

      Not my taste!

      “Haha.”

      Mind control, mind control.

As if my desperate efforts were not visible, Oscar was still looking at me with an expression full of admiration.

That expression... … You thought it would work, right? maybe?

Is it possible to do something like that when you showed so much that you lost your mind in the first place?

Editing the main character is really scary.

There is no failure in this world and there is no woman he can't seduce, so he becomes a monster like a frog in a well...
    • Chapter 67
At my signal, he illuminated Princess Idvina.

“The princess laughed after watching our play, and His Majesty the King was very pleased to see her begin outdoor activities.”

Some people may have noticed, but the medal bestowed by His Majesty the King proudly hangs on the chest of my evening dress.

“He promised that he would spare no effort in supporting our theater company to present better plays.”

The pin light turned towards me again.

“I suggested ‘something’ as a way to make Princess Idvina more happy. And His Majesty the King accepted my offer... … .”

Suddenly, sparks erupted in the air again along with a popping sound.

A horrified sound was heard from the audience.

But soon those sparks turned into rose petals and began to pour down like rain from the sky.

I smiled brightly amidst the rain of flower petals and shared the happy news.

“Starting with our next play, The Snow Queen, you have allowed us to direct all of Baltus Theater Company’s plays using wizards!”

A not-so-hot flame brought about by magic, and a fragrant rose blooming in the midst of it.

People stared blankly at the magical feast, lost in their minds.

“Yes, now we are going to use magic and tell a magical story!”
    • Chapter 76
I had to persuade Loche to get a proper examination from a doctor.

I moved my gaze over the bed, wondering what I could say to convince him.

Loche's face was obliquely obscured by his arm.

I took his hand off my arm and tried to look him in the eyes.

Loche slowly relaxed his grip on my arm.

      His arm fell limply.

That's how I was able to talk to Loche face to face.

But the moment I saw his sweaty face, my mind went blank.

It felt like time in the world had stopped in this room.

      “Loche… … ?”

I couldn't believe the scene unfolding before my eyes, so I called out his name.

      “Yes, Count… … .”

Although he was still breathing heavily, a familiar voice without a groan of pain answered.

      But that face wasn't familiar.

No, if you ask me, I was used to it to some extent... … She felt like someone else who looked like Loche.

A young man as beautiful as a rose in full bloom looked at me.

The hair that stuck to my forehead had suddenly turned golden.

And the eyes were purple, just like the Sorimona flower.
    • Chapter 78
      My specialty is theater.

This room is like a small stage.

After deciding that way, it seemed like the action became a little easier.

I walked lightly to the entrance of the room and grabbed the doorknob.

I looked at Loche with a smile on my face.

“Better not delay too much. I think it would be better to leave the Marquis estate soon too. Then, take the medicine quickly and recover quickly.”

      "sorry."

“What do you have to be sorry for?”

      “Count… … .”

      Loche's voice trembled.

      “Please don’t act, please.”

At those words, the mask I was wearing collapsed.

I couldn't act calm until the end. As if running away, he opened the door, went out, and slammed it shut.

My chest rose and fell greatly.

As I was calming my breathing, I heard a sound beyond the door.

It was the sound of footsteps.

I was very nervous, afraid that Loche would open the door and come out.

No, now the face... … .

But there was no need to worry about that.

A light vibration was felt in the door, but the doorknob did not turn.

Loche's whisper was heard through the door. She seemed to have put her lips close to the door.

“While I lost my memory, the Count was the only person in my world.”

      I didn't say anything.

“I was anxious due to an unknown fear, but… … “More than that, I wanted to make the Count who took me in proud.”

      My breathing never calmed down.

It is so harsh to hear these words at a time like this.

      I asked, lowering my head.

“You might forget me soon, but saying something like that is mean, really…” … .”

“I might forget it soon... … . “I wanted to tell you.”

      **********

I just watched in silence, not knowing when he would close his eyes again and collapse.

But he didn't fall asleep again.

He just looked at me with pale green eyes, a color that was not at all rare, as if he was a little frightened.

I grabbed the hem of my dress tightly.

      "hi."

      I said hello first.

Loche's eyes were filled with confusion.

So I didn't know how to receive that greeting.

      His gaze was transparent.

The fact that he doesn't know why he is here or what to call me.
    • Chapter 96
Serwen, who had been lingering in shame for a while, resolutely approached Loche.

All I could see was the small brown back of his head and his long flowing hair.

Serwen began confessing her love in a watery voice.

“The moment I first saw you, I was convinced. The fact that you will be a sun-like savior in my unhappy life... … .”

      “… … .”

Loche listened to what Serwen had to say with a polite smile on his face.

I started to get a little impatient.

This is because Loche’s expression could not be interpreted.

Serwen's voice began to heat up.

“I feel a strong pull of fate. “Just like the natural law of the sun becoming stronger in the summer and fading away in the winter, you will be a peaceful rest for me.”

      "okay."

      “So, Loche… … .”

Serwen wrapped her arms around Loche's waist.

I put my weight on the toe of the shoe and threw it into Loche's arms.

Her feather-like weight was nothing to Loche, and he took Serwen completely without flinching.

      I sighed.

It seemed like moisture was dripping from Serwen's entire body.

“Ah, my salvation. my love! “Please come to me.”

      ********** (skipping the response since I'm evil:blobtorch:)

“Were you planning on handing me over, Count?”

      I could barely breathe again.

I didn't know how to make an excuse so I just opened my eyes wide.

Loche waited for my answer without wavering even an inch.

      It was an unspoken urging.

In the end, I had no choice but to open my mouth.

Just like Serwen a moment ago.

      “… … “If you want.”

Just like that, the extremely petty words flowed out.

      It was also cowardly.

      “Without holding on even once?”

      And Loche was merciless today.

It mercilessly stabbed into the gap where I had hoped it would not be stabbed.

The emotion contained in those words was clearly resentment.

I tried to turn my head away from him. But it seemed that Loche was determined to be rude this time.

A firm palm, with a very gentle gesture, cupped my cheek and made me look into his eyes.

Of course, I didn't have time to rearrange my expression.

In the end, I ended up exposing my weakest side to Loche.

Unrefined words flowed from my mouth.

      "if… … I caught it, I did, but you… … .”

My eyes suddenly opened as I was speaking gibberish.

      No, you can't cry now.

“If you still say you’re going, what should I do then?”

If Serwen's 'Female Correction' beats my 'narrative', then my relationship with Loche ends here. Let’s think about it that way… … I made a promise.

      But how ridiculous that sounds.

Even before Serwen showed up, I was already unable to sleep because of Loche.

      I lied to myself.

I'm afraid that I will get hurt if he leaves, and I don't want to get hurt... … .

“I’m a human too, so I don’t like getting my heart hurt. It would be more miserable for me to cling to you and you shake it off than to just let me go... … .”

It was a time when I was pouring out incoherent words because my mind was shaken mercilessly.

      I stopped talking.

      It wasn't my will.

The face of Loche, who was quietly looking at my embarrassed appearance, came closer to me.

Without even realizing what exactly was happening, our lips met, his and mine.
    • Chapter 99
He will definitely win his bet with Marlena.

So, it was as if the Credwell Grand Theater had not been hung.

After completing the ridiculous calculations, Oscar shook Loche's hand instead of Marlena.

A moment of doubt crossed Loche's face when he saw the hand reaching out to me.

      “Please take care of me.”

      Oscar smiled softly.

“The day after tomorrow, you will become my bodyguard. “You must be very excited at the thought of serving a new owner, right?”

He taunted, glancing slightly at Marlena.

      Oscar's provocation worked.

      Marlena frowned and looked wary.

      Loche also saw Marlena’s expression.

      It was definitely true.

Looking at the way his hand lightly rested on Marlena's waist and then moved down.

It was a secret gesture, but Oscar clearly saw it.

      'Huh, look at this kid?'

      Tightened air.

The people around Marlena couldn't say anything either.

      Loche smiled brightly at Oscar.

“Yes, I couldn’t sleep last night with anticipation.”

Bright green eyes looked directly into Oscar's deep blue eyes.

“Today, the Count is holding the first performance of ‘Baltus Theater Government Street Branch’, so I can’t help but look forward to it.”

***NOTE: Previously. Oscar got drunk at the social club and lost his composure, taunting a dangerous bet to MC in public. "The Baltus Theater troupe can only produce children's plays, it cannot compete with the Credwell Grand Theater's majesty on the topic of adult plays." Naturally, MC decided this bet was offered during a beneficial time, giving the opportunity to produce adult plays without being the igniter of the competition between the theaters. So they set the terms: adult play, showtime in two and a half months, back-to-back at the Credwell Theater... Oscar offered up the Credwell Grand Theater, and told MC to transfer her bodyguard Loche to Oscar if she lost.
    • Chapter 112
‘Damn that bitch. 'It's not normal.'

Marlena was definitely not the empty-headed idiot that Oscar used to know.

It was nice to have the king offer a meal that Marlena couldn't refuse, but Marlena took advantage of it.

Oscar was looking forward to a meal just for him, the king, and Marlena.

However, an unfavorable environment was created for Oscar as Marlena invited Duke Lopez, Princess Idvina, and even Loche to the luncheon.

If this happens, it becomes difficult to achieve the plan.

But now it was Oscar who was disappointed.

If he tried to readjust the conditions, Marlena might go into hiding altogether.

      Because she still didn't care.

Oscar ultimately decided to be satisfied with getting Marlena out.

'If things go well... … .'

      **********

“After adjusting my clothes, I came out to see Albert, the butler, standing there with a confused look on his face.

“These are the documents and alcohol you mentioned, Your Excellency the Duke.”

He greeted me politely and handed me a document envelope and a long box.

The document was a transfer document that Marlena had sent to Oscar a few days ago.

Oscar has not yet signed the request to transfer ownership of the Credwell Theater.

He promised to sign if Marlena would have a meal with him.

So, you have to take it to the palace now.

Oscar's hands trembled slightly as he held the envelope.

But what made his hand shake even more violently was when he accepted the bottle of alcohol.

      “Thank you.”

The voice expressing gratitude to the butler for his hard work also shook mercilessly.

Oscar got into the family carriage with somewhat unsteady steps and headed to the royal palace.

As he looked at the street scene in silence, there was a small amount of powdered medicine wrapped in paper in his jacket pocket.

Today's winning strategy was alcohol and drugs.

Oscar was planning on drugging Marlena's drink.

The medicine was none other than a love potion.
    • Chapter 115
      “grand... … father… … ?”

      Oscar muttered absentmindedly.

      Oscar's grandfather, Desio Credwell.

He was once the culprit behind the upheaval of the Credwell family.

This is because it was discovered that Desio was plotting a terrible plot to assassinate the king, place the young crown prince on the throne, and take control of the Kingdom of Arlo as regent.

It was an open secret that the previous king later sent assassins to eliminate Desio.

'Adam' did not deny being called by Oscar.

His wrinkled hand moved up to Oscar's cheek.

“Oscar, there is a rumor that you look more like me than Kieran… … . So I was looking forward to it.”

The aftermath of my encounter with my grandfather, whom I met for the first time in my life, was not friendly.

Adam, no, Desio's fingertips turned into hooks.

And in an instant, it burrowed into Oscar's neck.

      “Ugh… … !”

“I never thought I would be so stupid and useless.”

The dug-in fingernails caused a deep wound on Oscar's neck.

There was no blood flowing from Oscar's neck.

It billowed with red smoke and began to be absorbed into Desio's body.

      "hucck… … this… … .”

Oscar, whose face turned purple, grabbed Desio's wrist.

The more he did this, the deeper Desio's fingertips dug into Oscar's neck.

Desio sucked in the red smoke coming from Oscar. The more she did, the more her Oscar's skin became like the dried bark of a tree.

      Eventually, Oscar stopped breathing.

The handsome man who once made all the women in the capital sigh in love turned out to be extremely shabby and was left lying on the hill like a piece of luggage.

“But it’s definitely good because we’re blood relatives. The amount absorbed is different... … . “It fits my body type perfectly.”

Before I knew it, Desio's voice had become more eloquent.

“I was able to swallow the whole thing without any loss... … . look at my body “It’s the perfect living sacrifice for me.”

***Tidbit real quick.... Oscar was the original novel's male lead... And we just saw him get sucked with a straw into a husk by his grandpa. The original novel was still ongoing when MC transferred in, but I doubt this was a future scene of that HE novel.
    • Chapter 122
I have to give you a choice.

I let go of his hand that I was holding tightly.

Loche looked down at his loosened hands with a puzzled expression.

“Loche, I have something to ask.”

      "yes."

“Do you want to take the risk, regain your memories, and get the truth? Or, like now, as my own Loche, stay safe until the time comes... … .”

When I said that, I suddenly burst into laughter.

This is because a classic movie I saw a long time ago suddenly came to mind.

I feel like I should at least wear sunglasses.

      “You choose, I will follow.”

So I handed Loche the red pill and the blue pill.

      Loche looked at me intently.

I looked at him without hiding my anxiety and fear, the cause of which I could not pinpoint.

      “I want my memories back.”

Loche, like the film's protagonist, chose the red pill.

“If it’s my job, I think I should know the truth.”
    • Chapter 127
He gently grabbed both of my arms.

“I wanted to treat the Count special. “That’s just how I felt.”

      “… … .”

“But strategically speaking, it wasn’t a bad move, so I didn’t bother to put up with it. “I think it would be more accurate to say it this way.”

      My heart beat faster.

Ludwig's purple eyes were filled with me.

      “I like the Count.”

      “Your Majesty the Archduke… … .”

      “Oh, just about that.”

Ludwig lowered his head and smiled slightly.

When he raised his head, the smile on his lips was slightly colder than before.

“Are you calling me that on purpose? “I am no longer ‘your Loché.’”

      “That’s natural.”

"why? Just because I returned to Ludwig, it doesn’t mean I lost the memory of being ‘your Loche.’ “In fact, I even found all my memories from before the summer.”

His calm tone gradually became faster. Even his voice began to show heat.

“So now I am more faithfully ‘Loche.’”

      “It’s a play on words.”

I twisted my body slightly to get out of his grasp.

I felt like my heart was going to melt, but I pulled myself together and kept a poker face.

“I was everything in the world of ‘Loche,’ Your Highness. “I was the first to jump into his world, which was like a blank slate after he lost his memory.”

      But not Archduke Ludwig.

      Because he has a country.

Should I say this out loud?

Just as I was hesitating, Ludwig spoke first.

“I’m actually saddened by Count Baltus’s attitude as if Loche has completely disappeared.”

      “… … .”

“Count, do you know what it means that I have regained my identity?”

Ludwig turned his back and gently approached me. It was a graceful gait as if dancing a waltz.

He bent his upper body slightly to be at eye level with me and came closer, as if we were going to kiss our lips.

I was startled, but I didn't back down.

“Of course, it also means that I have a country to take responsibility for, but… … .”

      I could barely breathe.

“It means you no longer have to be a secret lover.”
    • Chapter 133
      “… … Count Baltus... … .”

      The voice was also dry.

Her watery beauty must have captured the hearts of men.

      I asked the haggard woman.

      “Can I come in?”

Serwen hesitated for a moment, shook her head, and gave up her seat.

I motioned to the security guards to stand outside.

Because I wanted to talk to Serwen alone.

      **********

“Did anyone come looking for the medal?”

      I asked a straightforward question.

At that moment, Serwen’s entire body froze.

Fear began to appear on her face.

It was clear that she 'saw' something on the day when a huge magical power was observed in the Tuhini district.

I stood still and followed the direction of the trembling gaze.

Serwen's terrified eyes honestly turned to the dressing table.

I took a step forward to open the dressing table.

      It was then.

      "No!"

Serwen let out a tearful scream.

It was a voice that was neither pretty nor soothing.

It seemed like he just desperately wanted to stop me.

I opened my eyes wide and watched Serwen's actions.

Serwen went to the dressing table, stretched out her arms and blocked me.

Cold sweat began to seep from her forehead and neck.

That pretty face was distorted mercilessly in pain.

“Oh, no. “If you touch this place, big trouble could happen.”

      I looked at Serwen quietly.

“There is a bad magic here. You can't touch it. “Count, something scary might happen to you.”

Serwen, who was trembling, soon burst into tears.

I took a step closer to her.

Serwen screamed and spread her arms again.

I could see that he was determined not to let me get close to the dressing table no matter what.

Even though I was so afraid... … .

      “… … “It’s amazing.”

      I mumbled in a daze.

      It was an honest impression.

Judging by her actions, this woman in front of me was trying to save me.

      Serwen’s good intentions.

      Isn’t this an unfamiliar concept?

Wasn't your role to cry all the time, pretend to be the victim, and then hug Oscar like you had no choice?

“Well, what I’m saying is, it may be immature, stupid, and unbelievable. Uh, maybe someone as smart as the Count might find me pathetic.”

Serwen whimpered, tears pouring down her face.

It was a sob that wasn't beautiful at all.

“But you can’t. You really can't, you absolutely can't, you can't do it even if you think it's a lie, but you can't. sorry. I really can't... … .”

Even though she was talking gibberish, she never left the dressing table.

Then he came forward, grabbed my arm, and pushed me.

It's as if they're preventing you from getting close to the dressing table.

I quietly looked down at the little brown head.

A new realization came to me.

      'You are not a villain.'
    • Chapter 134
      An innocent and kind nephew!

Ludwig was always like that. He didn't notice people's malicious intentions, and even when he was pranked, he just laughed it off.

'It seems that your natural generosity is not suited to the Grand Duke.'

I had no intention of listening to Ludwig's advice to flee to a third country.

Rudolph thought he was not a fool.

If I had to head to a third country anyway, it was obvious that I would be caught by a red crow on the way.

In that case, it would be better to join their group again on my own.

Ask Adam to get rid of Ludwig... … .

I will not let go of my position as Grand Duke of Rohaytham.

      **********

"however… … Adam, do you mind if I ask now? “What is that sword?”

      "ah."

      Desio smiled at Rudolph.

It was a smile that was eerily similar to his grandson Oscar.

“It is the key that opens the door to pandemonium.”

      “Pandemonium… … ?”

      "okay. “A den of monsters.”

Cold sweat began to form on Rudolph's face.

“Wasn’t there a Daimon’s eye engraved on the blade?”

      Were those Daimon's eyes?

Only then did it feel like the puzzle was falling into place.

“That sword… … “It’s not just a ‘key’, is it?”

      "of course."

It also serves as a proof that you are the master of the underground monsters.

The monsters consider the person who opened the door to be their owner.

'If you open the door to pandemonium... … .'

We can break that damn banishment order.

Once summoned, monsters could move instantly to any place where there was a shadow.

Then, his long-cherished wish would be achieved.

      To obtain the throne.

      Desio stroked Rudolph's head.

“What was it like having a country? Was it good?”

      Rudolph's back arched.

      It amused Desio greatly.

      “Detain him.”

He pointed at Rudolph with his chin.

      "Adam!"

Rudolph screamed at the unexpected action.

      “Protection, protection.”

Desio waved his hands as he said something unbelievable.

I ignored Rudolph, who was screaming something, and just walked one step at a time.

Ever since I was young, I wanted to have a country.

It would be even better to have two.
    • Chapter 137
The terrible cries of the monsters tormented my ears.

      Still, I didn't look back.

I didn't want to be shaken by the hell-like scenery.

I held on to Ludwig, braving the strong wind, and just looked at his face.

Tendons rose from Ludwig's tightly closed jaw.

The blood vessels in his eyeballs burst, turning the whites of his eyes red.

      “Eat my enemies.”

      He ordered the monsters.

It was my first time hearing his voice speak so coldly.

The monsters immediately obeyed the command of the owner who opened the door.

An unpleasant jumping sound was heard.

Desio's scream continued amidst the indescribable cries of the monsters.

“No, what are you doing? “Aaaah!”

      Leader of the Red Crows.

It was an ugly scream to be the end.

Some might say this ending is lacking.

But it wasn't the end for me yet.

      I was desperate.

      “Loche… … .”

I called him by the name I had given him, not by Rohaytham's name.

But Ludwig did not respond to my calls.

I just looked into the distance.

There must be a difficult battle going on in his head with his expression hardened.

He gritted his teeth and trembled.

He was resisting the temptation of malice.

Without letting go of the hand that held me.

      I hugged Ludwig's neck vigorously.

      “Loche… … .”

      I'm here.

      **********

If he loses his senses like this, the evacuated wizards will bomb this area all at once and wipe me out.

      That doesn't work.

      “Loche.”

      I called to him softly.

      And laughed.

      “Loche… … .”

I'll call you until you answer.

Our joined hands were still cold.

But his eyes moved little by little and began to look at me.

      "I'm here."

So don't go anywhere, don't get distracted by anything else, and think of me.

      We haven't done anything yet.

It would be a shame to lose one's life because of such a dangerous operation.

      “Loche.”

I don't know how many times I called.
    • Chapter 140 Finale
His eyes lightly scanned the surroundings.

His gaze, which was wandering around the party hall, was soon fixed on one side.

This is the balcony where I am.

      “Excuse me, pardon… … .”

He passed through the crowd and came to me.

His hair sparkled under the chandelier light.

      “Count Baltus!”

      “Your Majesty the Archduke.”

His eyes were also shining brightly.

I casually touched the white fur shawl wrapped around my shoulders.

      "long time no see."

Ludwig nodded as if he really believed what I said.

He looked at my face for a long time.

      **********

I think people are looking this way, but I'm not sure because their eyes are only focused on Ludwig.

At first glance, people were eating, drinking, and playing noisily.

I didn't think I would hear everything Ludwig said to me all the way to the banquet hall.

“To be honest, I think I was anxious.”

      "what?"

“… … “I wonder if someone else will fill that position while I’m gone.”

Ludwig continued his story very calmly and plainly, as if it were true that he had thought about it for a long time.

As a listener, I could never feel calm and simple.

“So, I wanted to make sure. “My relationship with the Count.”

      Ludwig came a little closer.

The balcony railing gently touched my back.

I let him close the distance further.

Ludwig slowly stretched out his right hand and grabbed my left hand.

A firm fingertip lightly brushed my ring finger.

“Wouldn’t you like to get engaged?”

He asked, looking straight into my eyes.

In the narrowed eyes mixed with laughter, I could read shame, joy, and a little tension.

“I know that the Count has great affection for the theater company. So it’s okay if he doesn’t rush to get married.”

      He continued speaking quietly.

“However, I would like to receive a clear institutional promise not to turn a blind eye. “Am I being too hasty?”

I thought there was nothing I could do if he walked away.

I thought it might be a natural thing.

But Ludwig wants me to promise a future with him.

I feel embarrassed in front of him once again.

Killing my expectations because I want to run away from possible future hurts is a bad habit of mine.

      But Ludwig hits straight ahead.

I couldn't answer easily and looked away and spoke awkwardly.

“Are you feeling okay? Because we opened Pandemonium... … .”

“They say the aftereffects of opening the door to pandemonium have the greatest impact on the mind.”

      I suddenly feel worried.

“So please get engaged. “I need to find mental stability.”

… … As soon as I felt like I was getting a little worried, I returned to this topic again.

      “Am I being too persistent?”

As I kept my mouth shut, which was uncharacteristic of me, Ludwig asked as if he was sorry.

      No, it's not like that... … .

“I like you, Marlena. I like you. No matter who I am, that doesn't change. Either I lose my memory again, or I end up wandering into death... … “No matter what changes in the environment come, I can be sure of that.”

      He whispered sweetly.

“As far as where my heart is.”

At his confession, I felt dizzy, as if I was drunk.

I held onto the balcony railing and looked into his eyes.

      His cheeks were slightly red.

I reached out my hand to cup his cheek, just like I used to do when he was my Rochette.

To my delight, Ludwig calmly tilted his head and rested his cheek on my palm.

      “… … “I like you too.”

Captivated by that sight, I had no choice but to say that.

      “Loche.”

When I softly call his name, my eyelashes that had fallen for a moment are lifted, and he looks straight at me.

Her lips drew a beautiful line, as if she was very happy to be called by the name I had given her.

He is truly a very pretty and cute young man.

“I think I will be happy if I marry you.”
    • There are two epilogue chapters. This spoiler will only briefly mention the contents.
The first extra is introduced as Marlena's letter to Ludwig. They've decided to communicate long distance after the engagement. Marlena still has a lot of plans regarding Arlo kingdom's fine arts progression, she wants to complete her evolution of the industry before moving to the Grand Duchy in the neighboring country. The chapter is placed a year after the engagement and lists how the sub-characters are living and getting along.

The second extra is introduced as Ludwig's letter to Marlena, but since the Grand Duchy was never the focus of this novel, it's wrapped up with Marlena cherishing the letter and continues with her work. The end is Marlena excitedly prepping for Ludwig to come visit, and the entrance ceremony of the performing arts school she founded.

What I understood so far in 2 chapters

FL's is a transmigrator who has possessed the villainess of the novel, Malena. The stories of OG novel goes like this the Malena's husband, Oscar, is a complete garbage. He is obsessed with a slave girl name Serwen but she is too lowly for him and he clearly tells her on her face that he would not marry her. He marries Malena, a count's daughter who had a crush on him. He mainly married her so he can keep his reputation high and to hurt Sewen reminding her of her place. But he never touched Malena after marriage. Instead, he seek out Serwen again and started an affair with her. Serwen also likes Oscar but it is kinda implied that he forcefully started the affair. The villainess on finding out of the affair goes out to attack Serwen but is stopped by Oscar.

FL who has possessed Malena is trying to act like Malena and waiting for Oscar to give her the divorce. She initially didn't bring up divorce herself cuz the person who ask for the divorce has to pay the Alimony. But nothing is happening and Oscar isn't divorcing her and she is fed up with Oscar so she decides to take the initiative for divorce. Oscar believes she is doing is to get his attention and reminds her if she divorce she has to pay the Alimony and since Malena's family has disowned her she would have no where to go. But Malena have no plans of paying Alimony either. Instead she threatens Oscar by bringing up the existance of Serwen. This panics Oscar and he wonders if she is still doing this for attention. Idk what was going on this piece of living shit's mind but he looks at Malena and thinks that she is beautiful not as lovely as Serwen and decides to go in for a kiss. The past Malena died for Oscar's affection and would try to kiss him but he never did. So here he believed that he can change Malena's mind by kissing her. But FL stops him before he can kiss her and acts disgusted. Even wiping her lips he didn't even touch yet. Oscar is kinda stubborn and doesn't want to divorce but I am sure they will eventually and FL will start a business according to summary.

ML has blonde hair and he might be the sub male lead of the novel. This sub male lead was supposed to make his appearance in new season of the OG novel but FL never got to read the new season.

Looks like the slave girl is also a victim and had no choice but to give in. Their relationship reminds me of Alen and Rashta from remarried empress where this douche bag has a relationship with her but doesn't agree to marry her cause she's a slave.
I hope MC gets away from the trash husband and helps Serwin get away from the creep's grip. A slave (be it a male or female) can not have a consensual relationship with their owner because of the power disparity. It's gross. Hoping for happy ending for both the famale characters. It'd be better if they form some kind of friendship like Melissa and Yuri (beware of the villainess).

    Link doesn't work

Allen did want to marry her. He really loved her but he had no power to fight off his father. It was his father who was against Allen's marriage with her. His father, Marquis also threatened him with the lives of their child and her. Allen was in a tight position. He wasn't the douchebag. He was more upright than Sovieshit.

No. I'm forgetting some events but she was going through all of it because she knew he was obsessed with her.
She schemes against the Female Lead as well in the latter chapters.
I'll check if I still have my bookmarks on the pages where her antics were revealed or not.

Basically, MC became the villainess wife of a popular regret sweet-potato novel she followed. She divorced Oscar, OG ML, and hoped he would cling to Serwen, OG FL. After divorce, Oscar decided to obsess over MC's 'change of heart', following MC and forgetting Serwen. Oscar is trash, he is not our ML.

MC picked up a man during the 3-day divorce processing, hiding him from pursuers and helping him out. Brown hair and green eyes, the tall handsome man had amnesia and relied on MC. The two got comfortable with each other fast and have a special friendship, but to others, the man is MC's bodyguard, Loche.
Our ML is Loche (로셰). MC gave the name 'Loche' to ML.
His real name is Ludwig Roheidham, the Grand Duke of the Duchy of Rohaytham's son and heir.

ML(the duke's successor) fled his home after his uncle killed the current duke (ML's father) and usurped the duchy. The uncle set a trap to lure and kill ML baiting him with his 'sickly' father, ML was helped and fled far to save his life for revenge. Which led him to the capital, stumbling into MC from the experimental drugs he consumed to hide his identity. His blonde hair and purple eyes became brown and green, his memories forcefully sealed to conceal him, but his nature and manners remained.

Externally, ML and his father are known to have perished due to a strange epidemic, leaving the uncle as the only successor. But. The uncle has not snuffed out ML yet and spreads this message to his dogs: 'ML fled after committing patricide. Capture him and return him to the principally. You will be rewarded for your heroism.'

I'm not certain if ML belongs to another country. His slightly different noble etiquette means he's from abroad and shows his social position to be very high class. But Oscar was baited a senate position if he sent ML to the uncle, so ML's family has power over Oscar's country's imperial family's senate. Which makes me assume that perhaps ML's family is a very powerful duchy that has power equal to an independent country. Since the prince of a duchy fleeing to the capital city of the neighboring kingdom... seems possible but a stretch for when the MC-ML relationship needs to be connected. Edit: Yep seems like he fled that far.

--- 'The Marquisate of Lowy Island is close to the border with the Principality of Lowydam'
--- 'The Principality of Rohaytham would not want red crows flowing into their country. Therefore, it is said that he is coming directly to ask for the cooperation of His Majesty King Charles of the Kingdom of Arlo.' -Ch 72

Principality is a state ruled by the Grand Duchy... And it's asking the Arlo kingdom for help with their country... Tbh, I'll just accept this for what it is and stop over analyzing.

MC was an actress in her previous life and dreamed of opening a theater, so that's the business aspect of novel which is surprisingly fun and deep-rooted so not at all boring like typical business tangents that fatten MC's pockets. Unsurprising, Oscar also runs the top theater in the capital, so the novel types out the rivalry and once again, the ugliness of Oscar.

Anywho~, we can see that the author really loves theater, the plays 'Pinocchio', 'Snow Queen', and even 'King Lear' were designed and written so spectacularly that I was kept hostage, only being released from the grip after the scenes had finished. You can feel the love of the author in the theater descriptions, and that 'this' is what they're passionate about.

So, the business aspect wasn't boring at all, in fact, I was looking forward to the scenes containing the performances and working with the theater troupe. The actors and actresses are well-written lively beings, not dry tools to accentuate MC's prowess, they grow and show shockingly in-depth performances. When the theater produces a new play, the author dedicates a few chapters to let the reader 'watch' the performance where we get tons of different perspectives.

The theater troupe growth, script practices, play performances, audience perspective, theater critic's newspaper review, and MC's love and involvement in directing/strengthening the business is a very large part of this novel. As MC's bodyguard, ML is present for every scene and it's fun to see their chemistry. Oscar is the antagonist here and still throwing himself at MC like a moth to a flame, refusing to appreciate the fine arts himself and focusing on maintaining his monopoly over the theater business.

This spoiler is an in-depth recount of chapters 1-... don't remember. Let's say it's a week or two after the divorce was finalized.
In the original novel, Oscar, ML, is the handsome cold-hearted sadistic duke who imprisons the slave girl Serwen, FL, and rapes her consistently. Through the FL's POVs it shows her thoughts of 'the proud duke wants me, a dirty slave girl, not any aristocratic woman', 'the duke is crazy for me, his wife must be lonely'... So even though readers should pity FL for being ML's consentless sex slave hostage, it's fluffed to be more of an adulterous feeling of sleeping around behind the wife's back. ML's wife is a brainless mean beauty that cut ties with her family just to marry ML, claiming she 'will win his heart after marriage'. She clings and strives for ML's attention, using immoral tricks and lashing out with her hot temper. She does not win his heart after marriage. In fact, ML only married her to give FL another reason to cry, since he likes to break FL down mentally and physically.

So, MC became that, the mean brainless wife of the - 'Respectful Kind Duke' to the public - MASSIVE hypocritic, rotten OG ML. When reading the story, MC loved fighting in the comment section over which character was the worst scum. The author had taken a break and posted that ML's wife would leave and a Sub-ML will be introduced... Then MC was brought into the novel and spent a few months acclimating until she could no longer put up with Oscar's behavior.

MC led him by the nose to divorce, making him believe getting a divorce was him punishing MC for threatening him when she doesn't know the topic. And so, Oscar filed for an expedited (3-day processing) divorce, feeling satisfied that MC will come pitifully begging to him, and daydreaming about how he will close off all her connections in the capital. His wife, now a poor commoner since she cut ties with her family, will not be able to survive with her bad brain, so he will ruin/starve her for 3 months withholding the alimony until the time limit. Making her deeply regret ever going against him. Disgusting right? His brain is rotten.

MC took a quick 50 million loan from the bank in Oscar's name and took a carriage to the hotel, planning to stay for 3 days until the divorce has processed. She picked up a brown hair green eyed man in a back alley where he was fighting 5 men, and took him back to the hotel after he asked MC to save/hide him. They talk a bit, the man has amnesia and shows reliance on MC to which she states 'I hope you go back to your home' since she's in no position to shelter him. MC heads to the police station to give a testimony after calling the police to pick up the 5 thugs, left the station and met the man who followed her like an abandoned puppy. She's also confronted by Oscar who attempts to drag her to his house thinking to punish her for taking out the loan, when the man steps in to protect MC. MC made up a status of 'her bodyguard' to protect him from Oscar's rage, and the man, now named Loche (ML), became MC's bodyguard.

But now, Oscar is ticked that MC isn't the clingy ugly lover that was annoying, and that he hated. 'She's confident and starting to look beautiful? No, she's still that disgusting bitch that he never wanted to give a penny to'. He's overwhelmed with thoughts of MC and his possessive desire for MC's love is costing him his composure. He's become a pathetic stalker, petty rival, public bastard, and... MC would be happy if he got rid of the slave girl right? Would she come back if he killed it? Oscar is forgetting about Serwen, why? Because he's a low-bastard who saw a better toy.

Here's a spoiler about the Villain. Oscar the grouch doesn't count. Don't make me laugh.
So the main villain is 'Adam'. But let's talk about Rudolph Rohaytham the fratricide usurper.

This Rudolph doesn't just have a red nose, raw from brown-nosing the Red Crow, he also has an inflated ego supported by... nothing? Oh that's because he's a puppet, puppets shouldn't have egos.

The Red Crow is a villainous organization of black magic wizards, they are like cockroaches and stay out of the light. And the leader of the Red Crows is...... 'Adam'.

'Adam'... is very well hidden. He wants the heirloom sword passed down in the Duchy of Rohaytham, too bad for him, the sword taken by Ludwig (ML) when he escaped from the great siege dominated by black magic. If you don't remember, that was the trap set by ML's uncle, Rudolph.

'Adam' is Oscar's grandfather, Desio Credwell.

Let's start a little family backstory. During his time, Desio wanted the Throne, so he plotted to assassinate the king, place the young crown prince on the throne, and take control of the Kingdom of Arlo as regent. It was a crime that had to uproot the family, but the royal family seemed to have taken pity on Kieran (who was 2 years old), who had to die without knowing why and eased the punishment. Desio was 'officially' exiled from the country and was immediately assassinated. The Credwell family was stripped of the Duke title, banished from entering the capital, barred from politics, and their power was restrained to eliminate any threat.

Kieran was 2 years old when the disaster struck his family, due to the king's orders he grew up far from traditional Duke's education and was educated abroad, away from all of 'Desio's life'. Kieran grew up loving the fine arts, dreaming of opening a theater and producing wonderful plays. He and Antony Brogo (an actor whose talent appears 'once in a hundred years') revitalized the theater industry with their amazing production, the treasured 'princess who never smiles' attended Kieran's play starring Antony Brogo and smiled, bringing headlines that made history. The king and crown prince treasure Princess Idvina, so they bestowed Kieran a reward for bringing their Princess a rare joy. Due to this, Kieran revived the family. The Duke's title was regained, the ban to enter the capital was lifted, and Duke Credwell's family regained it's former glory in a sense.

That's when Kieran's son, Oscar comes in. Oscar is strikingly similar to Desio, in looks and personality. Oscar disdained the industry his father built, it was not noble, the theater and actors were vulgar and not worthy of the Duke of Credwell. Oscar began following in his grandfather Desio's footsteps, searching for more power, more influence, more and more until he wanted the throne. But Oscar is dumb, so the imperial throne he salivated over was too far to reach but not too far to desire. He partnered with the Red Crow, an evil organization of black magic wizards, and tried to rise in the ranks to gain influence. With the Red Crow behind Oscar, usurping the throne became more than just a dream, it became a possibility.

That's the end of the family history.
What I'm trying to say is.

Exiled and presumed dead, Desio Credwell hid low and grew an army of black magic wizards, the Red Crow, to take over the throne. His alias 'Adam' was used to contact Oscar and Rudolph to set his plan.

Red Crow supported Rudolph to the position of Grand Duke, but the plan failed and the duke's heir, ML, escaped the principally with the Grand Duke's heirloom that Desio desired for helping Rudolph. 'Adam' then contacted Oscar to find ML who fled to the Arlo Kingdom, baiting a position in politics if successful.

... Oh and later, the family reunion didn't go over too well. When Oscar met 'Adam'... Desio kinda... ya know... 'ate' Oscar. I'll place the scene under the Chapter 115 spoiler up top.

One more thing. Someone said it before, but I just noticed their comment has disappeared...
    Ah.
I just got the banned warning myself, so I know why the message was deleted. The word is blocked here, but message me if you want to hear a tip on how to read this.

Oh, one last thing. MC writes the scripts for Pinocchio, Snow Queen, King Lear, and Hamlet... Yet no one, absolutely no one, brings up the writer/creator of such an amazing story even though we see how excitedly everyone praises the stories. MC has a genius writer to help smooth out the scripts and mesh them into 'this world's adaptation', which doesn't change the content but it's like a translation feature. There is no mention of anyone praising the writer of the scripts, generally there would be honors given to the creator, but the author completely removed that aspect of the novel. I suppose they didn't wish to take even the slightest credit and just blocked the worshiping from the start. It's a logic bump that no one questions, and it doesn't interfere with the novel at all. So you won't see MC receiving awards for her work, or that her genius writing ability was praised, the only parts praised are the actor's ability and the play's charmful story.

i dont think the slave girl is innocent. i think she's a white lotus. she fell in love with oscar too and there was a part where the mc quoted a passage from the og novel about serwin's thought:

"in the end this person is mine"
"he may be married but his heart belongs to me"
"i pity the duchess who can't win the heart of a duke"

Turning a slave into a white lotus is basically a trash move. Also the lines she's saying doesn't depict her as a white lotus, just makes her seem delusional.
