And Quahel has this absurd look at Riftan when Riftan scolded/threatened him maybe he couldnt understand why is Riftan so angry hahaha. Riftan is angry with Maxi too and he said we'll talk about this later and commanded her to go to the rear unit escorted by Elliott. I hope she wont get another angry snusnu in that wrecked place hahaha at least wait until they both are back in Anatol

The earlier part of the chapter is so full of political conversations and thoughts between Riftan n Richt and im having difficulties to understand them, there's even new terms like "Gwyn"..wtf is that? but Richt and King Heimdall's intention to break the treaty and invade other kingdoms will not going to happen. Richt was kind of admitting his defeat by the end of his POV.
`Kuahel was just holding her forearm so she could keep up with him, and he could keep her close by to protect her, but Riftan being Riftan read all sorts of things into it! Yeah, I thought that about 'Gwyn' too, I have no idea. Because the translation is quite bad, I'm missing the important things that knit the story together. It's going to be one hell of a journey for us all when we read the proper translation! Suddenly everything will make sense!
Chapter 169 so Riftan sends knights to Balto with the task of retrieving the ship confiscated by Balto in the Hoover Strait. but that's just an alibi. because what the Riftan's emissary did (probably garrow and yurixion) was to approach the nobles, negotiate so that they get military assistance, namely the Balto confederation. We turn to Kuahel and maxi. Kuahel wanted to open the gate so he had to get to the castle tower. Kuahel asks maxi to put shield on for 30 seconds while kuahel slashes all the skeletons and ghouls with his sword and blue flames. The moment kuahel was able to lower the gate by cutting the support rope, max saw firsthand the battle between the allied alliance and the durah was unfolding before her eyes. The intense fear made Maxi speechless and Kuahel immediately pulled her to the pillars of the wall. Maxi was shocked to see various kinds of monsters coming towards the open gate. Right in the middle of that atmosphere, Riftan's cold voice greeted her. Riftan asks why did maxi come out of the castle. ( maxi should be in the rear support unit). Riftan was furious when he saw Kuahel holding Maxi's arm. Riftan threatens kuahel to release maxi, otherwise riftan's spear will crack the kuahel's skull. Maxi realized that Riftan's words weren't a bluff. Maxi let go of Kuahel's hand and was immediately beside Elliot, who was following riftan. Riftan will ask for maxi explanation after the war is over. kuahel also returned to the battlefield. Maxi wanted to hold Kuahel but didn't because she knew the situation wasn't good (especially when she ran out of mana, right). Elliot asks maxi's permission to touch her (raise maxi to Elliot's horse) and they go away from the battlefield. Done. IMO: So maybe maxi's heroic action will only end here first. I'm a bit regretful actually maxi and kuahel failed to catch the necromancer, because that's the reason maxi without permission went to the castle? At least, they could open the castle gates. After they conquered Besmore Castle, I was afraid of the 'punishment' that riftan would give maxi.
Poor Quahel.. I would like to pat him on his back hahaha I feel bad for him, he did a great job looking for necromancer & protecting Maxi but ended up getting Riftan’s anger & jealousy in return I was hoping Maxi would appease him a lil bit saying some appreciation before leaving with Elliot though.
You want to hear the best part, right? Okay, this is what I think. When Kuahel held Maxi's arm to support Maxi (Maxi was scared when she saw the battle right in front of her eyes), Kuahel raised his sword. Meanwhile, Riftan raised a giant spear. Kuahel felt: how absurd is this? (Meaning why does riftan seem to want to attack him even though they are fighting monsters?) Riftan : touch my wife one more time or I will crush your head
That's true.. poor Quahel.. when they were trying to draw down the drawbridge and open the gates for Allied Forces, there were so manyyyyy undeads attacking them, and Quahel was fighting them all alone (he's also a powerful war hero!) while placing Maxi behind him to protect her.. she is safe without a single scratch, despite with mana depletion. And Maxi was worried about him when he run towards the battlefields after he got scolded by Riftan haha and she tried to stop him. But I guess he's in hurry to get the relic and purify the castle so he didnt care. I hope he's safe! Please KSJ make him safe!
even if maxi explains kuahel's goodness, i think it will add to the embers of riftan's jealousy. ha ha ha. There doesn't seem to be any justification for maxi's actions in riftan's mind. Yes, however, like I said before, riftan doesn't allow any initiative from maxi to help allied alliance without riftan's approval. He loves his wife unconditionally, and in return, his sense of belonging to her is unreasonable. It's not that riftan doesn't appreciate or acknowledge maxi's skills, but that his worry covers it all. Hopefully maxi doesn't praise the kuahel more often in front of the riftan especially about how the kuahel grabbed her, put his arm around her and slashed all the monsters with a single swipe of the sword.

He was fighting and leading with all his might knowing his wife was safe in rear but to his surprise when the castle gates opened taa-daa he saw his wife coming out of the castle... ( i could only imagine his wild thoughts right when he saw Maxi ) Then he saw Kuhael holding Maxi's hand Riftan: get your hands off my wife right now!!! right then and there he directly thought that it was Kuhael who brought Maxi inside the castle so he wanted to murder Kuahel right away He may have thought, what was wrong with this man (Kuahel) putting the life of my most precious woman in danger... so there out of anger and worry he attack Kuahel ...Riftan thrust the tip of his spear to Kuahel's throat... and said Riftan: touch her one more time and I'll crush your head... Riftan may immediately conclude that Kuahel used maxi to infiltrate the inside of the castle. Riftan will never allow that particular act because of how dangerous it is... in addition, not a single Remdragon knight escorted maxi only Kuahel I can totally understand Riftan's fear, worry, anxiety and jealousy maybe? .. goodness Maxi you've got a lot of explaining to do ... but I really adore the Maxi and Kuahel team up.. Maxi: (seeing Riftan's heightened anger) I will take refuge with sir Charon now, don't worry about me please take care of yourself... ( she could only assure him ) Riftan: Let's talk about it after the battle is over oh my Maxi you will be scolded by your hubby big time... for sure Riftan won't let this go ... riftan's state is like riftan is catching his wife cheating on him (they're just the two of them, kuahel is holding maxi's arm and they're in the castle alone). I'm sure after this maxi will avoid riftan and pretend to be busy treating patients
If riftan just saw the full picture where leon spent a night with maxi, he put his arms in maxi's waist. Cant imagine how much jealous he would be If leon had promised to protect maxi all her life it is like unofficially offering his geth to maxi.
