I do not know what happened but all of a sudden Chrome in my phone stopped working and started crashing. I open the app and it closes down automatically. Its already been a day. I am pretty much clueless why that is happening. Any advice please?
It's possible that you opened a malformed page, or your profile got corrupted. Have you tried force-stopping the app, then restarting? Or rebooting your phone completely? If neither works, try clearing the app data and then re-signing in. You'll likely lose all your open tabs and all bookmarks not saved into your profile, but it usually fixes my problems.

other than the above mentioned reason, memory could also be an issue. that goes for both internal memory and RAM. Chrome needs quite lot of memory to function. Try clearing internal memory if it's full, or try force stopping any running apps that's consuming RAM.

On pc you're better of using Uc browser. You can import extensions and I guess even histories and bookmarks. Chrome was literally roasting my old phone inside out...so then on i mostly use Firefox for long use...Chrome is for that instant Google searches XD
I don't suggest using UC browser. It has a shady history of leaking people's information. FireFox is the way to go. If one wants to use chrome, there is Chromium too. FireFox can sync histories just fine
