I kinda like it. The author that made her suffer vows to love her unconditionally as a daughter. And the people who once refused and rejected her are now going to spoil her rotten. And ogFiona doesn’t have to relive all of the pain of her past memories and still gets what she desperately wished for.

The FL of this is the original author of the novel. That’s why she is so desperately guilty and selfless and so full of sympathy for all the characters that suffered for the set up of the story and the plot. The ogFiona, the og villainess, in particular suffered the most, since she was never loved by anyone. Not by her bio mother. Not by her bio father. Not by her half-siblings. Not by Duke Helion. Not by Siegrin, the og ML, as well. She was used as a vessel for the darkness over and over again to the point that her very own soul had shattered and mix with it. So she summoned the author’s soul so someone could give her love. But the ML became the author’s number one and ogFiona is incredibly jealous. But after the drama, she entrusted the author with the very last soul fragment she had that was still pure and never tainted. The pure soul that desperately wished to be loved. She also made the Fl promise to fill her with love. So, ogVillainess reincarnated as the ML and FL’s daughter whom the ML promised to make her happy as soon as he saw her. And Duke Helion became her adopted grandpa.
I kinda like that those people who once made her miserable are now going to vow to make her happy no matter what.
But now that I think about it, it took another identity for her to be beloved by these same people. It’s kinda depressing as well, I guess.

No, Sigren knows too. At the end of the main story Fiona hinted to Sigren that their daughter didn't resembled her because she's her mother but because their daughter resembled 'her'. That's why Sigren joked it wasn't the birth of a daughter but the birth of Fiona's lover.
