This poll is for research purposes. Suppose there is a game that has bad endings and good endings. Obviously you clear them all, but which do you do first?
Bad ending is only to fill in all the missing piece after everything else is done Cause bad end is usually short and unmeeningfull. Its just MC dies. The end.
If you're playing the game for the first time how would you know which ending is the good ending and which ending is the bad ending. For that matter how would you even know what to do to reach a specific ending. I mean sure some games make it really obvious, but for a lot games your choices are more subtle and it isn't always clear what the consequence will be.
Sometimes the Good Ends suck. So I stop at the Bad End and call that a true end. Not only do I save my sanity. I often save a huge chunk of time.
Bad end first, story wise, I think of it as the MC dying, regressing, trying again, dying, repeat until all bad ends were complete, then good end.
For hentai bad endings are sometimes more fun then good ones, so i prefer those in that kind of media. But good endings have thier own charm so it mostly depends on mood to say which is better
Good end, actually I won't bother to complete the bad end. I read/play to be happy, so tragedy or bad end is big no for me.
Personally in monster girl quest, I do the bad endings first since I might forget them if I don’t do all of them first. In similar games, it is better to do all the bad endings first before going to the next step otherwise I will need 1000+ save files
obviously not; unless i enjoy the gameplay (e.g: chrono trigger or heroine's quest) i'd simply watch the other endings in youtube (if i'm curious enough). definitely wouldn't aim for a bad end but most likely it wouldn't be the best either, i'd say it's "my ending" since it would be the consequence of my decisions.
Depends on the visual novel. What you normally do is save before each ending so you can just hit them one by one. Good endings may not be happy endings though so my decision usually depends on that. For example, you may get the forever alone ending in a dating sim but it turns out that’s the happiest one with no loose narrative ends!
Depends on the game. If it's something like a Visual Novel, then I go Blind Run -> Neutral endings -> Good Endings -> Bad Endings... Usually speaking though, the game tends to have only one Neutral Ending, and the Blind Run will give me that, so I'll go Good Ending right after... Except on the rare case I get Good Ending first try, then it's Neutral -> Bad. OTOH, if it's something like a Compile Heart RPG, then I go Bad -> Neutral -> Good or Neutral -> Bad -> Good according to my whims, since the Good Ending will probably give me access to more stuff on post-game and whatnot, so I prefer leaving the Good Ending for last. That's the way I usually go about it... If there is no incentive to go Good Ending though, then I might just leave the Bad Endings for last~
Blind Playthrough. I will play till I reach the end. Which end I reach is unknown even to me. Still, most Visual Novel games I played are quite linear whether it's Otome Game or Gal Game. Recommend me one with lots of choices and ending if you have any.
