This honestly made her one of my favorite maids. It's one thing to cherish the neglected princess but it's rare for me to see a maid outright calling out her family on their bs herself. Usually they just stand aside and be a source of comfort for the pitiful child FL until she eventually grows up and learns to stand up for herself. Leona FTW! I hope she has her own happy ending, whether it be with that knight or just by Ashtarte's side.
They had tea time with the whole family because the fake princess suddenly sent her an invitation. In here, Ashtarte said that she won't come out of the Empress's palace and that she hated them. Mirajen (crown prince) asked how they can be forgiven and Ashtarte said that she doesn't know and added that maybe if they waited 10 years like she did when she was still craving for their love and attention. After that there was a time skip of 5 years, and it was mentioned that in those five years they respected Ashtarte and didn't come and see her instead the Emperor and Mirajen kept sending letters in those five years while Noah (the second prince) kept sending flowers for her but Ashtarte did not reply to any of these even once.

Spoiler She was also given maids, Ason also became her direct escort knight (the man resigned and applied for the position voluntarily ) There were several times when they asked what she wanted, even asking if she wanted a new palace closer to the main palace but she kept refusing all of them because she doesn't want to receive anything more from them. Oh, and she will also receive a knightage the one Ason resigned from as a gift from the Emperor. At first she refused but the Emperor said that the knights will be homeless if she didn't accept them.

I'm not really sure but if I remember it correctly this is around the end of first volume of the novel so maybe around Chapter 30 or so in manhwa? I have not finished reading the novel yet but here's from what I read so far. Spoiler There is a scene where the fake princess invited Ashtarte for tea time (yeah, its tea time again ) with the intention of poisoning her. The poison came from the high priest, the one who 'created' her. In here she already knew that she is a homunculus after accidentally wounding herself and the blood was like greenish in color (was it?) Okay so back to the tea time, both of them got poisoned, Ashtarte fell into a coma while Amaryllis (the fake princess) was also brought to the high priest. Isaiah then told the them that the reason why the empire is suffering is because of Amaryllis and that her body doesn't accept magic which is a characteristic of a homunculus. They went to the temple to check on Amaryllis and confirm the suspicion turns she's dead. YES SHE IS ALREADY DEAD! Just like that I think this was in volume 4, I don't know if there is still other ending for her in the volume 5 but so far that's it.

I feel there's a way to keep her pure character and still have her punish them. I think if she were to be like "I forgive but it doesn't change the past." Then treat them cordially but also distant. Like yes, she forgives them but they will never be someone she depends on like real family or even someone she's close with… and have them know that. Let the father and brothers be reminded that they will never be the one she turns to, the people she feels the most comfortable being around.
I was confused by the spoiler that said that gods liked her because of her pure heart, this is why I was wondering how she can punish her family and leave the country. But reading later it turned out that it was about her pure heart and suffering in her previous life and that she’s a reincarnation, so it’s all logical now: gods have given her a second chance for being good in her first TL —> other people screwed up gods’ plan because of their greed and cowardliness —> MC now is not obligated to follow the oracle to bring prosperity to her land because the first part of the plan about her family cherishing her was ruined by that same family.
SPOILERS SPOILERS Spoiler - Who's Isaiah? Isaiah is the second ml, he is a priest from the Holy Kingdom and the first to recognize that Ashtarte might not have been the darkness as he saw her healing the old scar of her maids thus seeing her use magic and he felt a pure energy from Ashtarte. - Why is the empire suffering? It's because of the disasters itself and later on there will be a plague and even Noah will be affected. Its not curable but Ashtarte healed him as soon as she woke up from coma where she said that he shouldn't die until she forgave him. It is not exactly clear but Isaiah said that the disasters are happening bcoz Amaryllis set her feet on earth and that he can feel evil energy from her. Ashtarte was revealed as the Light when they were summoned in front of the people of the empire, the Emperor and Princes, Isaiah, Leon, the High Priest and basically all the important characters. In here the high priest is trying to condemn Ashtarte saying that the death of Amaryllis is the oracle coming to fruition that the Dark will consume the Light. Ashtarte on the other hand was not fazed and asked the high priest if he has something to confess in a fierce manner but the latter insisted on Ashtarte being the dark and that she has to go with him to the temple. Even when it was revealed that another priest was actually the one whi received the oracle which the high priest killed with his hand he still insisted that they are just making it all up. He's crazy, I don't know if he actually has a reason why he faked the oracle (or I probably missed it coz I read an mtl? ) but the bottom line is he is CRAZY fella! The crazy person (the high priest) wanted to kill Ashtarte but the Emperor protected Ashtarte and was hurt instead. (sorry, dad it was not enough since she told you that she hates you) Ashtarte healed him in that instant and there was light that surrounded her and all the people saw her, the author just then implied that bcoz of what they saw no one can say that she is the darkness anymore. It's not satisfying, is it? Anyways, that is from the beginning of Volume 5, idk if there wilk still be more of that or so. I do hope this answered your questions somehow
