Chapter 181 is up guys. Golems still not in action yet hahaha but they are ready to be deployed. Maxi created 4 golems as a start. Princess Agnes n Princess Bitch appear in this chapter yall! Princess Agnes was kinda pushy to Maxi to quickly complete the golems because as time goes by their defense is getting weaker n they dont have much time left. Calto”s barrier will only be effective until noon n after that the wizards will continue to create barriers. While the monsters keep on attacking, retreat, attack again, retreat until God knows when. Princess Bitch as always being bitchy was looking down on Maxi’s ability n her golems. She was doubting that can only 4 golems defeat thousands of monsters? Maxi said she will create more golems if those 4 are working well. So Princess Bitch said if they arent working Maxi need to turn the mana stones into defense magic tool. Maxi and Annette are currently deploying the golems in front of eastern gates while Alec and Dean will deploy the golems in front of west gates. Maxi and Annette are escorted by Gabel and his subordinates and Garou is so eager n excited to follow them haha. He even argue with Gabel because Gabel asked him to stay inside, as he has enough men with him and Garou’s vision is not that good since he lost one of his eyes. Garou said he was ok to be excluded from dragon subjugation but Riftan entrusted him to escort Maxi n he cant miss this moment. Gabel said Garou’s stubbornness increased once he was placed under that man (i think Garou’s supervisor is Hebaron? Well that explains ) and finally allow Garou to join them with the golems deployment operation. Gosh i hope nobody will be harmed. Im excited for the next chapter! Go maxi n golems!

I have seen this forum for a while and read spoilers and theories of Under The Oak Tree and so decided to create an account. I hope they're isn't Maxi haters in this forum. I don't know if anyone reads Under The Oak Tree in Webnovel or the comment section but there is this commenter who has pessimistic comments about Maxi and I don't like what this person says about her, is like the opposite of what she is? Has called Maxi cold, a toxic wife, doesn't love Riftan and doesn't trust him still and said that in book 2 Maxi hurts alot Riftan. Also this commenter is a Ruth, Hebaron hater but favors, Riftan, Rosetta and maybe Agnes. Reading this person pessimistic comments weigh on my and is hard for me to enjoy the story.

Calto's shield would still last until noon. max was so eager to know what was going on outside, that it was hard for her to concentrate. But one by one the formula started to finish. SHe checks Alex's work and assigns him the task of taking care of the magic circuit blueprints. Enemies come and go alternately so that if the enemy leaves them, other castles will still be the target of attack. If the barrier surrounding Mount Lexus is removed (due to the loss of one of the castles), then the dragon will regain his full power. Not to mention, the number of conquering teams this time was only half of the number of conquering teams 6 years ago. If the dragons really get a complete awakening, then they (the riftan's team) will face great difficulties. Max regained her resolve. SHe must defeat the devil. SHe couldn't have put Riftan in much greater trouble if max failed to create the golem formula and saved besmore. Finally max continued to focus on her work and two regular wizards came to help as assistants. Max has been awake for more than 20 hours so Anette offers her to rest. Max ate porridge and forced sleep. The enemy attack continues. Soldiers are getting tired and injured. The wizards began to experience mana depletion. Agnes said that tomorrow the protective power of the magic stone would be exhausted. If the golems can't be activated after that, it's better to change the plan by making magic defense tools now. Princess Rienna who was behind Agnes said that she doubted the untested magic (golem maxi magic) would be of much help. SHe urges maxi to switch to making defensive devices instead. SHe even asked sarcastically if the thousand monster could be stopped with just 4 golems. Max immediately replied that she could make more golems once the other golems were active. Princess Agnes hopes that Max can finish faster because the soldiers' mentality is already at a low level. If the soldiers surrendered, the city would soon be overrun by the enemy. At dawn, the four puppet golems finally finished. It's as small as a palm. Alec, Dean, anette and maxi each carry it. Alex and dean will take the golems to the west gate and maxi to the east golems with anette. That's the end they have to leave the castle and the army of dristan will escort them. Garrow protested to Gabel that he was not included in the team that was guarding Maxi. They argue because Garrow doesn't feel trusted to be Maxi's guard. Gabel finally gave in and allowed Garrow to accompany Maxi. The gate was opened. There were sights of the enemy along the outer perimeter of the barrier. The city guard is still functioning for the next few hours. Max started to step out of the gate followed by Anette, Gabel and the other soldiers. Golem magic is a new magic as well as taboo magic. No wizard ever made it except warlocks. I thought only Princess Rienna doubted Maxi on purpose. The other wizards and soldiers seemed to be simply desperate. I hope the golems do well and save Besmore I've been asking questions from the start. why princess rienna doesn't show up too. I want to see her desperate and frightened by the enemy. ha ha. apparently Author gave her the task of making the atmosphere uncomfortable with her appearance. That's why she only appears arrogant
OOOOOOH MYYYY GOOOOOD it's happening, Maxi's golems are ready. I hope her golems crush enemies army in few seconds and won't let them run away and go to next castle. I want her golems to success in their mission and make their mama Max proud
Hello dear welcome to the forum . Please dont get affected by what that negative minded commenter said. We all know who Maxi is, and how great her love towards Riftan is. Yes she is stubborn n defiant sometimes (or most of the times?) towards Riftan but inside her heart all she wants is to be useful n helpful to Riftan n the people around her. If she is real i would think her as the most selfless person in the world. She sacrificed n endured a lot of hardships to be with Riftan, how can that not because of love? If she doesnt love him or if she is toxic she might as well said “to hell with that mixed bred bastard, im gonna stay comfortably in the castle, ordering around the maids n spend the riches he stupidly gives to me in abundance”. But she didnt do any of that. She chooses to be with him, through happy n hard times. Yes they argue n hurt each other multiple times in book 1 & 2, but it is solely because they care so much for each other, Riftan wants to protect Maxi from all the dangers and to keep her in a safe place, but Maxi doesnt want to be in a safe place without him. She wants to contribute, she wants to protect n help him in war fields. She left to World Tower (despite Riftan’s objection n thus hurt him a lot) not only to protect him from losing his title n land n group of knights, but she went to study magic to equip herself with skills that can help him in battlefields. She wants them to go back to Anatol together safely. Thats the main conflict of interests between them two, and it is all because of love. Gosh i can go on and on for hours about how great Maxi is as a female lead in UToT
It was also the fact that she was trying to finish the golems faster to ease the riftan's task to keep the dragons from rising at full power. SHe forgot herself and didn't even think about the chances of fame that would be gained if the golems managed to win.

Yeah everybody is entilted to their opinion and as @Lizaa said sometimes it's better to just ignore or deactivate comments if they spoil Ur reading experience, I guess this is another downside of such publishing - we get to see the comments of other people, while if we read physical book at home there would be no witnessing the drama and haters. It always fascinates me that there are people (haters) who invest their time into sth they don't like. Hope u all stay positive despite those comments and let's enjoy the rest of the story peacefully together And it's also interesting that the last few years the "stans vs haters" mentality/phenomenon permeated into other stuff, I knew it only from kpop fanbases (where it bacame unbearably toxic) but now it's present even in reading books, films etc. it certainly can be tiring and spoiling the fun and disables proper exchange of views and opinions, instead of bringing people together it tears them apart.
It can only be my opinion, but the author is rolling a lot on this part, I know she changed the plans, but with few chapters left, I wanted more action, this part of the castle is very stuck
She's really going on slowly maybe she is changing her plans for the story... at this point I dont think she'll be able to finish the story for the beginning of october.

I found the pace to be slow too, maybe because we had chapters with a lot of action and it broke down for the construction of magic. But the development itself has slowed down. Perhaps merging two POVs could have brought more plot. But the author is the best, let's trust...
I think as long as the golems are not activated, they are small. As soon as the magic will work, they will become big. So you can transport many small figures quickly and make a huge army out of them.
I agree.. i guess the golems can grow big n gigantic based on their owner’s (maxi’s) instructions..it will obey all its master’s orders. 8 Honestly I wouldn't take that deadline as set in stone. She has taken a couple breaks these past months so that definitely sets the deadline back. I honestly think it was an estimate on her part and when finally writing out the details it's actually gonna take longer than she expected to finish. Based on her writing it doesn't look like she's rushing to end it or going to abruptly end it.
