The system tries to put the MC in bad situations to punish him. I think this was the 2nd arc. In the one before he was really beautiful and found it hard to survive so asked the system to not let him be beautiful in the next arc/world. The system then makes him really ugly. The MC is a young boy who's people have just been defeated by the ML's people. When he's placed in the body, the ML's people are in the middle of going through the survivors to pick who they want as slaves. The MC's people prince is the best looking out of all of them. The MC is really ugly. He was going to be killed but managed to convince the ML to take him as a slave. The MC has a stone or key(?) that the ML recognises. It turns out both the ML and MC have two "birds" so the ML believed they come from the same place/planet. The ML gives the MC special trousers so its easier for the MC to walk with the two "birds". The MC is considered a "female" and as he matures he turns less ugly/more beautiful.

Thank you for correcting my mistake. It's been some time since I last read it and got genuinely confused . All the world hopping novels I've been reading also added a lot to the confusion. When ML woke up he found only bloody tattered clothes of Mc and the little snake baby after that he tried to find the Mc and took the little snake baby with him everywhere he went many years later while still searching for the Mc he found another person from his species that person told him the truth that for them to evolve they need to eat their own kind ML fell into depression and hated himself so very much and turned into a madman at last he ended up cutting open his own stomach and died
